Gonna spoiler it cos of last night but
Could be a way to get tension between Rollins and Reigns, set up some sort of turn
-
From Wiki:
Dave Taylor debuted '78
Johnny Saint, 1958
Street, 1957
Miss Linda, '69
Regal, '83.
So rough maths says 250 odd years experience between them.
I don't know if they are all involved with WWE in a coaching role, but if they are, get the main roster over for a weekend seminar.
-
It's the perfect match for a preshow. Something to make someone on the fence tune in to the main show. However I doubt that entered the thought process at WWE.

I've only been watching PPVs for a while, what is the deal with the Nikki Cross stuff? It seems really bizarre that they have apparently got rid of her gimmick when they need a few more gimmicks.
Well, they aimed for Nikki being manipulated by Bliss, but somewhere between inception and execution, it got rewritten a million times, Vince said that's the shit, and we get to today.

At least with the regular tapings/Takeover, you’ve got people who have decided to buy a ticket, whereas something like Download you’ve got
unfamiliar/uninterestedpeople justmilling aboutfinding shelter from the weather. -
Oh God...Shane's gonna try something big off the top and Taker's gonna sit up so we get the shocked McMahon face. Gotta say I'm warming to the idea of Corbin laying out Becky for the win, heck if it were still Attitude era, have him missionary pin her for extra non-PG points.
-
I assume CBA is collective bargaining agreement, also now on the banned words list backstage.
-
"the only rule is...there are no rules"...Oh fuck off with that bullshit. When you call your main event an "Extreme Rules match", by literal definition, it has rules. [/pedant]
Can see Lashley going over Braun with the reports of Braun working on injuries. I'd love them to pull the trigger on Joe, not a squash per se, but a dominant performance.
If there's a clean finish in the main, I may eat my words, but as others have said, I'm expecting Corbin to get the belt, followed by an immediate cash in. And with Vince being so high on Lacey, she'll do as a temporary champion through Summerslam.
Rest of the card, Nikki opens her eyes, turns on Alexa. Ric retains over AJ, possibly DQ. Black/Cesaro, I can't call. Could go either way depending on how they're booking it. Revival over Usos. The "Graveyard Dogs" win via Shane nearly killing himself leading to, I'm thinking Superman punch, watusi stumble into Tombstone. Smackers...fuck it, let Heavy Boys win, if only so Otis can hold the belt and caterpillar.
-
To add to coked up promos...less sanitised promos...one camera, in a hallway with people milling about. Last time I remember something anything like that was AJ nearly blowing the secret with the Shield by opening the door.
Heck, even impromptu promos...cut to Todd Pettengill grabbing HBK for a quick interview, rather than "my guest at this time"
-
No idea, I don't have the Network any more to check schedule. Just seems strange this is the first anyone apparently has heard about it. And the cryptic Taker video isn't helping.Did Vince get loose in the social media office?
-
Will possibly require a thread in future...but what is this? WWE Reimagined
-
Gotta agree that they've pulled a blinder. Didn't the same thing happen when they signed before? Mike could be jobbed out to the entire roster, flown to Cardiff and be jobbed to the whole of NXT UK and he'd still be in profit.

Went in a pub near Portsmouth (forget what the Village was called) a year or so ago that advertised a meat raffle. That a thing in the South? Never seen it outside of Lancashire and darkest Dewsbury.
Pompey native here, yeah it's a thing if you stray beyond the 'spoons and the like. If you're really lucky, you'll be offered tickets even if you aren't a local.
As for bad pubs, local Tory government and rising prices means a lot of them have been sold off for flats. My nomination, now demolished and turned into a One Stop, The Fox
Flat roof, bucket of half cues by the lager-soaked and threadbare pool table. Smack in the middle of a housing estate. You had a huge choice. Carlsberg draught, Carlsberg bottle, Carlsberg Export bottle, Stella bottle, Strongbow can, or John Smiths gassed to within an inch of it's life.
Food selection from the good company of Smiths, or Walkers if the multipacks were on offer at ASDA.
Yup...it was, as my father would have said, a working mans' pub. By which he meant it was filled with pensioners during the day, and from about 5.30, "manual labourers". Secure footwear was required, the carpet was original and pristine under the stickiness. Pissers were a literal trough into a hole, and you knew what day of the week it was by which fruity was paying out.

Sorry for the double post but this could be yours for jusr $300 from here
I'd rather have this simply ravishing one...

I'll preface this with:
1) I don't have the Network
2) My memory is weak
3) I scanned Wikipedia for PPV cards and picked matches based on nothing at all
4) Bring a cushion/pillow, this is gonna be a long one
Opener for the Opener...something flashy, to grab attention. Let's go with Pillman vs Liger from Superbrawl 2
For no reason at all, in ring promo from Lawler leading to Tazz vs Lawler from ONS 2006.
Because I would feel unpatriotic without adding it - Legion of Doom with Paul vs Money Inc. (IRS and DiBiase with Jimmy) from Summerslam '92
Since we've flown to Wembley, let's have the greatest WCW TV Champ ever, Lord Steven Regal defending vs Johnny B Badd from Fall Brawl '94
Following that, back Stateside for The Brain Busters (Arn and Tully) vs The British Bulldogs from Summerslam '89
We need a break, so let's have Brutus Beefcake, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat (with Miss Elizabeth) vs Dangerous Danny Davis, Harley Race, Hercules, The Honky Tonk Man and Ron Bass (with Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart) from Survivor Series '87
Right, got your raffle tickets sorted, drained the lizard and mortgaged yourself for 8 x 10"s? Good.
Straight in with Super Crazy vs Tajiri from Living Dangerously '99
Continuing the theme, a visit to Collision in [North] Korea with Wild Pegasus (*ahem*) vs 2 Cold Scorpio
Jeff Hardy vs Umaga Falls Count Anywhere from ONS '08
The Rockers vs The Orient Express from Rumble '91 starts the ramp to the big ones.
First of the TRIPLE Main Events...
Eddie Guerrero vs Dean Malenko from Starrcade '97
Kevin Steen vs El Generico from ROH Death Before Dishonor VIII
AND YOUR MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING
HART VS HART
BROTHER VS BROTHER
OWEN VS BRET from Mania 10.

So, for a first show, on their own, some teething troubles, but nothing that won't bed in over time. MOTN for me was Cody v Dustin. Dustin juiced a gusher, and now has me wondering how a "prime" Dustin vs 2019 Cody would have been. Interested in how they carry on with the announcement of them teaming up. They got me totally invested. Unlike Jericho v Omega, which never got going for me. Kong is potentially a great addition to the women. A known name, although that does somewhat put Rose in the background a little. Six women joshi special was more entertaining that it could have been on a US-centric card. Whether it was Aja doing what Aja does, or Yuka Sakazaki being more Bayley (and better) than Bayley.
Report card says B-. Good start, needs polish and lacks clear direction. But most importantly, I come out of it wanting to see the next show and how they get on, which is more continuity than WWE have offered in some time.
As an aside, I would much rather a two-man booth. Excalibur and JR. The other guy...not so much.

Mania used to be protected...until the $$$$$ came in from the Sheikh

I have nothing else to say, except I'm glad I cancelled my network last week.
-
That would make sense considering PAC had to miss Wrestlemania weekend due to visa issues.
-
Adding a Dead Sea with "reports" PAC has quit
-
Just announced on WWE social media - Alexa is not medically cleared and is out of Sunday.
-
Never a more apt use of the phrase "I think we lost the patient, Doctor"

Just now, Carbomb said:

Nacho Libre I guess would be considered a Hollywood Box Office hit, surely?
