  1. Again they dropped many balls after what they did last week

The many no show Slammy winners, the Usos winning an award where one of them wasn't there for many months! Stephanie presenting Seth Rollins SOTY. At least show us serious forward thinking down the line when Seth does return by having someone else present it perhaps. Just unattach any form of authority member being present in a situation like that. Even if it's not the direction they would go, but still.

Imagine had they set up this show for Brooklyn next Monday with that format, it would have been atrocious quite honestly for that market in particular. Many conversations in the background on what to do with him on going so I think an opportunity gone begging in my view.

Oh, and the prick tease of a Lesner intro! That's your audience watching with those picks

  2. So basically Alice leaves, Cornette explains the departure on his show this week, MSL takes over as producer with him, Cornette cuts a damming promo on Alex Greenfield(who also does shows on MLW) and the cunt continues to build an enemy army just like he's always done over the years.

Would laugh my tits off if ISIS reps in the US bomb that racist bigot up

  3. Without sounding too deep on the current product but in a funny kind of way, I guess this all really means we wait.....we wait for either Vince to pop his clogs, complete transfer control to immediate family which includes Hunter or Vince himself wakes up from his stubbornness to sort this mess out he created.

  4. How do we solve the problem of the current product? It looks like WWE are going to misstep, sleepwalk and parity-book their way to Wrestlemania 32, which I believe could have a larger crowd capacity than most of the Wrestlemania's in recent years. There's only so long before it simply 'being WWE/Wrestlemania' isn't enough to get people excited or to attend.

Very few people are resonating with the wider audience, in my view. And those from a wrestling background don't appear to be in a position to help translate an idea or intention to the ring/interview area in a meaningful way. At least on RAW & Smackdown.

Hypothesis: If I could make a suggestion to those in the company it would be get Paul Heyman, Dutch and anyone else with wrestling experience who has steered a product with some success, who is part of the company, lock them in a room with Vince, Stephanie and Triple H and say " tell us who's winning the Rumble, show us your Wrestlemania card now and let us brainstorm ideas as to how to get there".

Is it possible to say that more in the roster would be over and positioned stronger going into Mania? That there would be more interest in the product rather than just tuning in because it's Wrestlemania?

Easier said than done. Stubborn as Vince is, you're right in some way, but they clearly don't listen.

I do subscribe in the thought that take Vince and Dunn out of the equation, I do believe the product can be rebuilt structurally somehow. Hunter and Steph won't churn out this utter mess. They (Vince) just doesn't allow any character development to be properly showcased on tv the way we know the roster can. A record low rating this week with the audience shitting on this product from the company's wrongdoing, AGAIN

They keep holding off on Reigns to the point that if he isn't holding the title coming out of TLC, and given a phoney finish then I think they really are in big trouble with him. If im reading correctly, and I see what they are trying to do having "the chase" to get the fans to buy into him is completely stupid for this whole build up since Seth went away. I'm probably more excited to see them flop one too many times, where come Wrestlemania, he'd have fucked up his plan on Roman being the next star, and by then, only realise they need to turn him heel!

Alternatively, it's a gauntlet all the way to Mania unfortunately and the reaction could be intriguing perhaps on the minds of a large audience.

I wonder if at any point USA Network would step in. How low a rating would it have to get to for the network to force a change to the format? Interesting to see what the money breakdown on the deal is.

Anyone predict Ambrose and Owens going into Raw jobbing with Ziggler and Breeze with all due respect? No, me bloody neither!

  5. I found the new Japanese show from Strigger and Rob Reid via MLW a bit tedious. Just couldn't find a flow from the start compared to Writers Room shows on there for example. Comparing Japanese audio to say WH Park who I find fairly humourous akin to another wise crack in the form of a Greg Brady from FT

So much good content on the podcast front from a range of hosts out at the moment.

  6. I've always wanted a situation where the current MITB holder is also the current WWE Champion. I think with the right heel, there could be a few months worth of TV from the guy who is essentially his own number one contender.

a loss, then a rematch clause loss, then cashing in right thereafter due to accomplices beating the champion in the ring. If any it gives a script for the month in between the rematch loss, but coming out as champion for any star is an idea.
  7. On top of the legends appearing, I saw no advertising of these guys in the days leading up to Monday night.

Not even on last weeks show was there any mention of Austin, Michaels and Flair appearing, although the latter may not have had fans frothing from the mouth for appearing, so I doubt even advertising them would have produced a better rating, but logic might tell you they never gave themselves a chance to better the number.

  8. I never understand the theory (if) Breeze is the guy to move up and answer an US open challenge and win the title straight off the bat. Jeez he's ok on NXT, but he needs to stay there and develop fully. I think it's a pointless exercise which doesn't need doing when you have plenty of mid card talent who are dying for Vince to open his bloody eyes.

Fuck I don't want to see the likes of Neville being treated as just another number as one example. Ideally NXT filling arenas and Hunter using those guys again and making waves and selling house shows, and giving those talents good pay offs in performing and merchandise. Yeah I want some of that!

  9. At least the Brock/Austin podcast was decent.

I got out of that, that Brock basically flies in first class, airport collection in a blacked out limo, enters the arena, has catering in his dressing room, only Heyman, Hunter and Vince have access, gets run through his night's schedule, competes, showers, then flies home! Sociable geezer in my book!
  10.

Stop saying it will never happen because you are making me really tempted to go lead the campaign myself. Yeah, I really am stubborn enough to try and fuck the entire landscape of wrestling just to prove you wrong

You've got more change of tattooing Ashley and Uncle Fred on Cheryl Cole's cunt.

Fucking excellent stuff in this thread this week.

To throw in something that's kind of being skirted around. WWE want to be mainstream. That's clear. And they think of Raw as a TV show (the longest running weekly episodic show in history if you hadn't heard). But they don't write a TV show. They don't write characters. They barely write plots. They don't write twists that you don't see coming. If it is a TV show, it's something as lazy and miserable as fucking Eastenders. It used to be good, it used to make you want to watch. Now you could miss it for months on end and miss nothing. It still gets good vieing figures for what it is but nothing like it used to. And their only idea is to keep bringing back old characters from when it was good.

I could stomach an hour and a half of Raw being matches for no reason between guys I couldn't give a shit about if they at least made the rest interesting. I think they need to start every single Raw booking meeting with "Name one thing on this show (before we write it) that people are going to be tuning in for". Just one. Was it a cliff hanger last week? A huge debut? A return? A match we've pushed all week on social media. Whatever. Just one thing. They should start tonight. And if anyone around the table thinks there is anything then they should be taken to the top of WWE global HQ, poisoned, buggered, shot and then thrown off the roof.

    And then run over.

And then made to wrestle Sheamus for twenty minutes.

Good post. I agree with the Eastenders assessment funny as I don't watch enders, but I know how depressing that is, that I am of the opinion Enders could nowadays keep me hooked for 30!
  11. Sat here contemplating my thoughts on this show, left it for an hour, then came back even more angry and frustrated!

What can be said that's not a weekly theme on many different levels, but this just looks like extreme clutching at straws.

The typical Texas let's throw out mainstream stars in Michaels and Austin giving time to bump a number. Those God awful red runners that Austin wore to Micheals usual dick role just did nothing for Seth one bit, again!

That's just me being pedantic but you get my drift. Can't justify other storylines going on because they just mean nothing right now

  12.

Rusev, even when given utter utter shite storylines, I still believe he has that aura about him. He just gets it. A couple of quick squashes and a few wins over established talent and he will be back to where he was.

I reckon he'll be a massive face when him and Lana inevitably reunite. That will be his turn, the fans will go nuts for it in my opinion.

The only way I see this whole this come to a head is if it involves Stephanie in some capacity, and not at some cheap Network thing on a Sunday night, or a special at some nostalgic city! Either a Summerslam deal or Mania. That's when the pay off should happen if they do this the right way.
  13. Last night's show is vying for Show Of The Year so far, with Ultima Lucha. Every match was a solid good to great, and the main event was off the charts again. There are no bullshit storylines, no nonsensical booking, and everyone there works hard. How can the main roster PPVs, if we accept that main roster TV is a lost cause (and I don't think it is), not learn from this?

Its funny, if you go to the top of the food chain you'll see the likes of Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon. The Alex Greenfield impersonations of Dunn just encapsulates the picture, just nodding his head constantly!

The buck stops there and now they're pretty fucked right now. I can't wait for the rating when the Patriots play the Cowboys on a Monday night that week! Fans have tuned out already, and they're getting what they deserve in essence the company. It's not pretty to watch we know and so many other alternatives including NXT.

The way I look at it is Hunter knows exactly what he's doing. He's helped kickstart a fresh NXT brand from the original, and the packaging is not only encouraging, but it's set a standard on Hunter's clear vision coming out of the WWE sub brand. I can't help think that if within 5 years things either stay the same, or replaces Smackdown down the line, Vince Jnr and Dunn are the primary figures that hold the majority of the cards against a new era being let loose in the future. Somethings got to give eventually.

  14. The tired old format they've gone with for the past 10 years and even further when Raw began some would say. The presentation of stars is so poor by today's standards in the industry. The comparisons from one wrestling product to another is painfully staring Vince right in the eye, but he's lost his one and only pair of glasses to see for himself.

From Seth to Bray Wyatt on how they're presented. Do they really not know how to truly give Bray heat in presenting him? Clearly not, otherwise you wouldn't have thousands of torch lights going off in the arenas. The third hour in revenue, a painfully frustrating fast forward show at best and nothing happens of any real interest.

Good luck when the Cowboys play the Patriots on a Monday night and the drop is going to get worse I promise you.

  15. And I've always found Pollock to be one of the better podcast people out there, so it's a real shame he wastes his time with Bauer when he could be doing something much more enjoyable. Come to think of it, apart from his shows with Wai Ting, everyone he's associated with is a complete moron. Not just Bauer, but those two clowns on the LAW as well.

Its easy to throw insults at Agnew and Lovranski but these two grind my gears twofold for the most part which is frustrating. Only really tune in for Meltzer, but even Dave gives very little away each week which is the norm

I partly get the criticism of Bauer on here, I do. But I've come to enjoy most of the content he's put out there on his shows for the most part. It's Konnan who's an absolute arsehole talking over people more frequently than any other podcast contributor that irritates me on their stuff.

  16. The Divas Revolution is the shittest thing in years. It's made all the worse knowing that Nikki Bella and Paige were crying on social media about how disrespectful the Brooklyn crowd were. Fuck off girls, your angles and matches are absolutely awful. People aren't going to get on board with a supposed revolution just because you tell them to. You have to actually, you know, deliver. That god awful MizTV segment where they were all bitching at one another couldn't have been more removed from how awesome Bayley vs. Sasha was. It's night and day. The only difference between the Divas division now compared to beforehand is that their matches are slightly longer. Everything else is exactly as shit as it was previously and absolutely nobody on the writing team understands why it works so well in NXT.

Loved the Sting angle at the end, but I simply have no trust in Vince's obsession and insecurities over WCW. Sting will undoubtedly cut a bunch of promos specifically saying this has got nothing to do with WCW, but by the time of the match he'll likely be booked to lose and the commentators will be chuckling and harping on about how Sting may have been able to become WCW Champion, but this is WWE, where the real competition is, or whatever. "Ha! WWE wins again!"

New Day are the best thing in the company by far. Love them.

Returning Dudleys and debuting giant Wyatt member was great. It really felt like they were trying to make the post-Summerslam RAW a big deal similar to the one after Mania. Hopefully they do that every year.

But yeah, fuck the Divas Revolution.

Totally agree with all. Some good things upcoming for Owens back in NXT which I'll look forward to seeing.

Do you accept the direction they've stood by in presenting Seth Rollins?

  17. Didn't Konnan, when discussing this issue regarding Hernandez recently mention something along the lines that Hernandez was a sandwich short of a picnic and laughed when he said he couldn't think for himself. It was on one of the main MLW show he did a few weeks ago.

This fucking mess gets better and better by the day, let alone the week. Dixie really is a fucking Brazil Nut with no leadership skills to show any sign this company has anything to build on. It's not the talent, but her screwing it up constantly. The Jarrett thing is even more bizarre.

  18. If it couldn't get any worse for Rusev looks like from last nights show he is getting saddled with Summer Rae. Poor Fella :(

Even on fast forward that episode of Raw was the pits,

I wonder if it's his choice to fly to Raw and Smackdown to watch his girlfriend make out with Dolph whilst making his character bloody piss weak for the companies own little BS agenda. I can picture Vince getting off the fact he signed off on this segment, and the Rosa/Adam Rose farce.

Talk about shitting on him and doing nothing for him long term from the beginning to right now!

  19. He's tweeted that he has 3 broken ribs. Now he's out of the water in terms of severity wise (looked pretty bad at the time for them to not really acknowledge on screen something had gone wrong) could this be played into the storyline? Have Lesnar take out Mercury next, then Kane in order to have Seth on his own? There's still 4 weeks to build stuff and there's only so far they can go with the whole numbers game thing.

Yep you could be right with a re script to eliminate them one by one....fucking genius idea

Another tiring show as per the norm. So John Cena speaks at least three known languages which is less unique than say Nicki Bella's tits!
