Not sure why you are expecting Kamala Harris to be some great beacon of progress? Nothing in her record indicates that she would be.

Speaking of Kamala Harris, I was thinking this morning how a relation between her/Biden will be with Boris Johnson given his despicable history of racism.

  2. Well as I'll be on furlough from Monday (first time for me), and the company I work for on the brink of collapse, I could probably do with a chuckle.

I might even broadcast live from the toilet.

I'm still puzzled by that penalty Rashford got on Saturday. Was I the only one who saw no contact there? Yet there were no complaints. Bizarre.

I am in favour of VAR but it's like they just threw it into the system and nobody was trained on how to use it or interpret it properly. But I'm personally enjoying all the chaos it's caused, it's precisely what this league needed to be somewhat entertaining.

There seems to be VAR controversy in almost every game.

I long for the days of taking 5 minutes and multiple zoomed angles to determine if someone's elbow was offside.

  4. You know that old adage, where if you purposely make a shit cup of tea then people will stop asking you to make them? I reckon that's what they're doing with VAR.

People were screaming out for video assistance, but I think they're purposely fucking it up just so they can scrap it and have people stop banging on about it. It hasn't improved at all from last season. If anything, it's worse.

That's an incredibly piece of ingenuity for the time. Especially all those bricks falling in to place from out of the sky. Amazing.

  6. I should have elaborated, I do ignore those fights for the most part. But it just highlights how hollow the game is for me.

All the things you've pointed out as ace is just more fighting, so I'm afraid that's not going to pull me back in.

And using the fast travel will only take away one of the things I really like about the game. The scenery.

It's just not for me and I think it's been massively overhyped. Clearly people are enjoying it, but I'm just not feeling it.

  7. Even after taking @Mr_Danger's advice and just focusing on the Mythic stories and main quests, I'm still finding Ghost of Tsushima a slog. Every journey in between locations you encounter fight after fight.

The game looks great and I like the variety they've put in to the upgrade system. And although the fights themselves are nice to play, repeatedly doing the same thing throughout each mission, and in between missions, is just tedious.

They’re listed on the menu as Mythic Stories. You find the story teller at a camp usually and he’ll tell you the story then you investigate it but they have a neat little intro and you usually end on a duel and will get armour or a new special attack from them. I wish they had half the pointless side quests and made a few more quests like that.

Ah yes, I know the ones. I've already done one of those and just about to start another.

    Cheers for that.

Pretty much. If it grates just focus on the mythic side quests and the main story. You’ll bash through them in no time at all compared to ticking every box and the story and game picks up a fair bit from Act 2.

When you say mythic side quests, do you mean the fox dens and stuff like that, or the side quests you get from talking to people in camps?

  10. Question for those that have played through and finished Ghost of Tsushima. Are all the missions 'go here and fight people'?

I'm enjoying it so far (albeit not very far in), but that's all the missions have been. I can see me getting bored quite quickly with that.
