I went to the Clacton leg of the Bulldog tour. If memory serves, he was in a tag match. I’d be interested to know who he tagged with.

iAll I remember was Davey Boy looking stupidly massive in the tiny little ring with wooden posts that angled slightly towards the centre and feeling quite sorry for him.

If it was the 1994 tour with All star it would be Tony Stewart in all likelihood. He did the majority of tags with him

They did this at least twice if I remember right, steiner and kwee-wee answered them and signed the papers unless I'm mixed up.

That said I'm sure I remember something similar with Rey, but that could have been the flair "names in a fish bowl" where ric rigged it but Rey just stole some nobody's number.

Isnt that how Chyna got the shot at Jarrett's IC Title, she signed an open contract on his door?

Main reason I cant watch WWE at the minute. Find it unbearable.

there were even camera cuts on pinfall attempts on the counts. I agree, its unwatchable sometimes

I think there'll come a time to prune the roster but I don't know that there's a problem. Financially, they use guys and girls who aren't signed to contracts and they allow their contracted talent to work outside which should mean a lower cost base. In terms of numbers, they do an excellent job of cycling people in and out on shows. Very few people seem to wrestle every week on the TV shows though all the big stars now seem to appear in some capacity on one or both of them. It's easy to forget they're still only 2 years (as of tomorrow) in as a TV show. Very few acts have been the same since the start of that and many have debuted during so there's very little staleness in general.

There has been a big change in the women's division since they debuted. Many of those originally working were the Japanese girls who hardly appear now, someone like Britt Baker is unrecognisable. Only Nyla Rose really feels like the same act as 2 years ago.

One the male side, some people have disappeared like Jimmy Havoc (RIP career) and Chris Daniels. A lot of the guys being used for jobs early on disappeared quite quickly and either aren't used or are dark acts or lackeys now. People like Pac, Trent, Kip Sabian, Lucha Bros, Hangman, one of the Bucks and Cody have all disappeared from TV for ages due to travel, babies, outside TV shows, etc. Janela and Kiss weren't on for ages either.

I can't think of an AEW "original" who is getting a raw deal. The four they are calling the four pillars, JB, Darby, MJF and Sammy are treated very well, even in defeat, are mixing it with the huge names and are talked about by every big name who has debuted recently. OC too, who should be in that group. The only one of that early roster not doing much is Frankie Kazarian and at this point in his career, I don't think that matters too much.

If I was having a clear out of the roster, the entire HFO including Matt would go. Might keep Private Party on their own but the rest aren't worth having. Brian Cage doesn't fit anywhere. Kazarian wouldn't be a loss. Lance Archer could be better served in WWE for me. There are others, like Avalaon and Luther and the like but they're cheap and don't cross my sight much.

Daniels is coming back. Last BTE had a promo for him returning as the Fallen Angel at the start

reading that Charlotte tore up Alexa Bliss' doll.

In reality that's Charlotte not fucking about with selling Alexa's gimmick. But in kayfabe, how do you explain that? It had some kind of spooky magical powers over everyone else, but when she fights Charlotte it's just a regular doll?

Years ago, I heard a story about a rumble match on the indies that had a big dance-off spot where everyone got hypnotised and started dancing. The next person out was Saraya Knight, and she didn't want to do the comedy spot, so instead she just came out, no sold the hypnosis bit and just twatted the guy responsible to end that bit. In her head, that was "I'm not doing this bollocks". But the way commentary and other people on the show sold it was, "what powers does Saraya have that makes her immune to this magic?", so actually made her more of a part of the daft comedy spot than if she'd just taken part like everybody else.

I'm reminded of that, because it's the same thing with Charlotte now. If she's capable of saying "fuck off with that daft shit, it's just a doll", does that mean that she's immune to its/Alexa's powers? Or is it just saying, "all of that was silly wrestling TV shit, it's time to get serious", in which case, it's a matter of the old Vince Russo "that bit was fake, but this bit of fake wrestling is real" that has never, ever worked.

There was an "exclusive" interview bit after with her saying that she wanted the real Alexa to fight her and destroying the doll was her way to say "you don't need a toy to be a champion"

I know right, should have gone for the spinner belt instead.

he's put that on his dick for when he does the helicopter

not that he'll ever see it though

  7. Was really looking forward to the Bucks /SCU match considering the build up they gave the match on BTE and throughout the previous weeks constantly referring to the win or break up stip.

So what do they do straight after? cut to Mox and Kingston. Why didn't they just stay with SCU to acknowledge the moment instead of treating it as an afterthought with a "moments ago" clip.

  8. Really enjoyed the show, drew and shamus kicking the crap out of each other, Seth and nakamura was better than expected, great main event bar the finish

orton and bliss was awful but I bet Randy didn’t mind with the way Alexa pinned him
