  1. I have Gypsy's in my family not new age ones either my great grandparents were ones who settles down but the rest of the family didn't and TBH they are probably the only members of my family (except my mum and brothers) who I like.

However if these travelers broke the law they broke the law the law is above nobody.

Agreed! There's good and bad in all types of people, I've worked with Gypsies when I worked for Guildford Borough Council. I recall working with one when a team of us had to clear up after some Irish Tinkers who pitched on common land, and it's true they don't shit in their caravans! The gypsy bloke I worked with wasn't keen on them, not that he was an angel himself, he was the go to man for your contraband!

Maybe he was trying to abduct you. Did you check in case their skin was fake?

  2. Yes I do appreciate it & I apoligise but at the time I felt justified in complaining, anyway lets all get on with our lives.

I don't think you understand how an apology works. You're not meant to apologise and then explain how you felt you were right anyway. You missed the part where you explain that 'at the time, I felt justified in complaining. I now realise I was wrong'.

  3. They best thing the EDL can do is not affiliate ourselves with any political party.

As a way of getting laws changed, of making serious changes and trying to effectively make a religion illegal.... yeah, the best thing you can do is not to affiliate yourselves with any political party.

Not least because none of them want a damn thing to do with you.

  4. Ya think? I have to say I think the reaason they've run out of cash and lost most of their councillors and generally got shut down is more of a problem than just a name change can sort out. What griffin did very well was sell the BNP as an alternative to mainstream political parties while underplaying it's links to the national front. That ended up splitting it apart when he got exposed on newsnight while alienating alot of his key support. I'd say they're done as a political force, under any more, and I'm very pleased about that.

But the flipside is the EDL will pick up alot of what the BNP had, so while politics will be a little less repgugnant, the street movement of the far right will pick up some steam.

Of course we've yet to see where the economy goes, and how bad the current crisis is going to become. If it goes as badly as I fear it might, a rise in the EDL and a new version of the BNP is quite plausable, worryingly.

Was that the Newsnight during the election? I was in the audience for that one. Sort of sat next to him at one point, which was very strange.

  5. And in a similar way, you've not been happy about the National Front/BNP/EDL links being talked about. That's the kind of thing that I'm finding so frustrating about you.

I agree they're all linked, and we all agree that they're a shower of arseholes. But it does take time for people to realise it's the same group. And once they do, the reaction is almost always 'oh, those arseholes'. But you seem to be complaining that people don't immediately realise what's going on and react in the same way that they do to the EDL - who are immensely more visible.

  6. He also said "Look I don't support the EDL being there yesterday"

With a qualifier. But fair enough with regards to the counter-protests point.

The MAC are a significantly smaller group, with significantly less (for want of a better word) brand awareness. Most people havent been condemning them, because most people aren't aware of them as a specific organisation.

This is despite the fact that similar groups have had far wider and far more vociferous condemnation in the mainstream media. Regularly. And yet, mickey complains that nobody wants to criticise them.

  7. Yeah, exactly the same as eachother means that one group is classed on their own website as a hate group and has dozens of articles about them and the other, well, not.

So yeah according to HNH they might be "exactly the same" but not enough for them to be treated the same, correct?

Ah, see what you're complaining about there is the level of coverage, not the level of condemnation. The level of condemnation is the same.

They're starting to cover the MAC, so - lucky you! - it looks like the coverage will be getting more even. While still condemning people like you to the same level.

  8. Yeah, because that was a fair and balanced condemnation of both groups wasn't it?

Hope Not Hate has long said that MAC & EDL are exactly the same disease as each other. We condemn them both. Neither represents either the religions or the flags or the communities who they claim to speak for, represent or defend.

    Yes, I'd say so.

  9. I'm not trying to counter anything, especially when it comes to the EDL. Trust me, as an independence-supporting Scottish Socialist the EDL (or the SDL up here) are pretty far down my Christmas card list.

I just question UAF as well, that's all.

    As well?

To be honest, you don't seem to question the EDL or the SDL very much in these kind of threads. I'm not saying you do support them, but you seem to come across as far more anti-UAF than anti-EDL.

  10. I'm not talking about the media though, I'm talking about groups such as UAF. Surely groups like MAC & Islam4UK can be considered fascist in their beliefs, no?

If the answer is yes, then surely their name implies that they would be against such organisations just as much as they are against the BNP/EDL?

The fact that you're not asking about the media doesn't mean that the point isn't valid.

  11. One could be forgiven for getting the impression that UAF should really be called Unite Against White Fascism, couldn't they? What's good for one bunch of cunts is surely good enough for another?

I think there's possibly the element that I4UK and MAC aren't making out that they're representing English values. The EDL are. So there's a large element of 'not in my name' going on, I think.

Also, the mainstream media has (up until recently) given far more coverage to islamic extremists than the EDL, so there are already plenty of voices against Islamic extremism. Look back at the day in Luton when the EDL was formed. A small group of dicks from an Islamic extremist group made headlines, whereas the hundreds of football mentalists that turned up against them didn't get mentioned.

  12. Agentgig dislikes me on f4w, is all. Nothing to do with the babyraping.

I pointed out that the stupidest thing about Boydy complaining about the mods being bullied is that the mods actually protected him from getting shit on here, by banning some conversational points. And for him to complain about the bully mods was epic fuckwittery. Which I think is the case.

  13. It's actually rather different, but I understand why you're angry. Don't worry. It'll all be okay.

Look around the forum. Lots of us support you. You'll be fine. You can trust us all. You'll still be you, even if you don't have the pcc any more. Don't be defined by it. You're a beautiful butterfly just waiting to shed the cocoon. In many ways, you'll be stronger because of this.

You just have to stop blaming yourself, Butch. You have to learn to love yourself. It's not your fault, Butch.

    It's not your fault.

  14. Never said it was. What are you arguing exactly?

I'm beginning to suspect it was YOU who kept Reporting posts mentioning the pCc :p

You did say 'suddenly'. It read like you were complaining that it was a sudden thing.

And nah - I think I've reported three things max in my time here, and I don't think any of them were pcc related. That said, I'm sick to the back teeth of the boring shite involved with it, so I welcome it fucking off.

  15. Of course, once it was obvious we took it in our stride, and treated it as a bit of a joke, and weren't offended by it, it suddenly stopped being fun for the people who'd created it in the first place.

Yeah, because that was such a long time. The PCC was created ages ago - was it last year? It's not like this is a kneejerk reaction.
