  1. I really liked Hellboy 2 for the most part but the ending is bloody lazy.

Could you elaborate on your 'lazy'comment? I watched it last night, and although it took me a while to get into it (I was in a mood), I thought it was OK. I waited for the lazy ending but didn't quite understand what you meant. I thought it was obvious that was going to happen, but I wouldn't call it lazy.
Please put said comments about the ending in spoiler tags :(Going to see it at the cinema and if it's spoiled I might have to eat this laptop.
  2. Conspiracy theories are such a huge industry right now, it's ridiculous. Nobody wants to believe the simple truth that the Western world is run by an idiot with a monkey face and a Scotsman who doesn't know how to smile properly.

Who rely on a Frenchman to broker peace with an 'enemy' because they are too busy posturing to that enemy.More stuff on the bigfoot claim.

In August 2008, two US hunters, Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton, claimed that they had discovered the deceased body of a Sasquatch in a forest in northern Georgia. The body is reportedly male, more than two metres tall, weighs more than 230 kilograms (500 pounds), has reddish hair, blackish-grey eyes and human-like teeth. Photographs released showed a large ape-like animal crammed into a freezer, where it was being preserved. Tom Biscardi, a Bigfoot hunter who has been searching for the creature since 1971, claimed he was shown the body after a trek of a day and a half in the forest. "It's a huge situation for me after 35 years, because I've wanted to bring one back," he said. Biscardi claimed a video shot by the two men the day they found the body showed at least "three others walking upright like a man". Reacting to hoax claims, he retorted: "We trekked in for a day a half … what kind of lunatic would be out here in a monkey suit? I saw the thing, I touched it." Biscardi referred to Dyer and Whitton as "fine guys" who are "pretty credible"—one working for the police department in Georgia and the other was a correctional officer. However, the men previously admitted filming a hoax video, supposedly interviewing a "scientist", which turned out to be fake. The video, uploaded onto YouTube by Dyer, shows a "Dr Paul Van Buren" after he had viewed the Bigfoot body, after flying from Texas to Georgia. "Van Buren" said, after viewing the corpse: "It's obviously a male, we looked at a very, very large primate male, it doesn't fit into any of the taxonomic groups I can think of. Unbelievable, I'm still shaking... I've never seen anything like this before." Van Buren was later identified as being Martin, Mr. Whitton's brother, and the two later admitted in a subsequent video that the interview was a hoax. However, they still insist they have a real Bigfoot corpse in a freezer. In a report for The Times, Ben Radford, the managing editor for Skeptical Inquirer said: "It's smelling to high heaven like a hoax. They can claim to have DNA, but its not going to be possible for them to prove through DNA analysis that they have Bigfoot because there's no specimen in a jar that says, This is Bigfoot, to match it to. And the video?... it'll be what's known in the Bigfoot research community as a Blobsquatch, an indeterminate, dark blob that may or may not be a man, a bear, a Bigfoot, an elf, a dragon...who knows?" Jeffrey Meldrum, a prominent Bigfoot researcher, reported to Scientific American that he was "extremely sceptical about this Bigfoot claim". He alleged that, from past interactions with Biscardi, "anything he is involved in is suspect". A press conference to release "DNA evidence" is scheduled for August 15, 2008 at 12 pm–1 pm PDT

PDT = Pacific Daylight Time. Can't check world clocks here thanks to our shitty bloxx software, but 1pm will probably mean quite late this evening.
  3. I just watched the first two Back to the Future films. I think I'm in the minority that like the third better. I hate westerns, but it seems a lot more fun than the others, though the detail in the 2015 Hill Valley set was nicely done. A lot better than alternate 1985.I may need to buy more DVD's if I'm going to continue working at home :(

I love the BTTF series and I did enjoy number 3 but I'd struggle to put it above 1 or 2. Don't get me wrong it's a fun film, but it's just too silly in parts. However it continues the story and 'finishes' it so I liked it in that way. Its far superior to Karate Kid 3 though :DWatched all 3 BTTF movies a couple of weeks ago, 2 has aged quite badly in places :(
  4. In the past couple of days:The WarriorsI love this film, Slightly camp... okay very camp, good characters, a simple but clever story with a dark side. Made me want to play the game again :DNear DarkThis came out in 1987, the same time as The Lost Boys and it got lost in the shuffle, which is a shame because apart from the ending I find it to be a far superior film. That's not saying Lost Boys was poor, but if the Lost Boys is the more 'magical goonies style' movie Near Dark is the dark half brother that hides in the corner and frightens the cat. Think of the cast of Aliens (Hicks, Vasques, Bishop) as really fucking nasty vampires, throw the 'magic' out the window and you've got a down to earth gritty movie. My favorite Vampire film. Oh and the Bar Scene is one of the best scenes in any movie ever. Really.

  5. The mouth and eyes don't look 'real' in any kind of way. Also the fur, animal fur usually has some kind of 'shape' to it, that fur is all over the place. Very much doubt it's real.Edit: Fox Facts "Bigfoot are rarely claimed to be agressive" I'm generally a bit of a skeptical bastard so I doubt things like this, if it is real I'll eat my toenail clippings.

  6. i am new to ukff is this for losers who spend all there time downing wrestlers till british wrestling crashes and burns and turns into dust as i wondered as i no certaonly that they think there untouchable my guess about five of you all are the true haters of british wrestling and the rest of u idiots just follow the 5 including mo the welsh ginger bankmanager from newport according to the no2 ronin, the japanese wonder, but u idiots who voted doug no1 u mongs as he is one of the best wrestlers to leave britain so this just proves ure all stupid and if i were u all id get a life get a job leave a computer to the people that need it yes the people with a brain

The ginger assain?certaonly? You have got no idea, no idea what you're typing about. No idea. At all.
  7. Just bought and watched Vantage Point and very much enjoyed it.8/10

Fair enough.I can usually suspend my disbelief pretty well with movies, but there was just too much about vantage point that got my goat. I wouldn't give it more than 4/10 because some of the scenes are quite fun but the stuff like the long, long, long car chase that end up 2 mins from the bloody square or the gimpy legged man running with a camera in his hands easily keeping pace with a panicking criminal just annoyed me.And I've only watched it once but I still remember how annoying they were.
  8. The more you wipe the shittier the arse becomes.

Your arse must work the opposite way than everyone else's, so.
It was a play on a line in star wars, Leia says to Tarkin "The more you tighten your grip the more systems will slip through your fin...." oh nevermind.... You're right, I'm going to get a catheter fitted... :p
  9. Ronin. I don't know you.I don't know how well or badly you wrestle.Seriously though, please do something about the spelling, grammar and content of your posts as they are hard to follow and really don't help your cause at all, even better, if you're doing so well (though I question if crowds of 100 is an 'excellent' turn out but that's not here or there) why even bother with the UKFF at all? If you're being successful you're obviously doing something right so you can ignore the people on here and can leave it alone. Most people have taken the Shitarse list as a bit of a laugh, if you had done the same there's a good possibility that you might even have gained a few people coming down to have a look at just how bad/good you are (in which case you had a chance to win them over) instead you've come off looking really bad.See Article 1. Spud.I thought Spud was okay myself, but now due to his reaction I love him like a brother. A very small brother I can fit in my pocket. But a brother none the less.

  10. Just read through this, was rather funny :p Is Doug Williams as number 1 supposed to be joke then?

He's number one becuase him being number one gives the list Credibility.Like the millions of other lists that mean nothing people make up.This list, however, is fantastic, lovely and covered in cheese and beans. Can't get better than that.
  11. Moj, Standing ovation.Coming Soon.SSSW (Shitarse Shitty Superstar Wrestling)Owner and Booker - MojOutline - This promotion is in place simply to have the worlds shittyarsed wrestlers going at each other and hopefully clearing up the gene pool. Matches are usually simple (like the wrestlers) but do include "Fans bring the weapons" matches. It differs however as fans are encouraged to actually attack the wrestlers with said weapons. After each Match the MC (Moj) Gives a critique on both wrestlers and then they are ejected by security with no pay Security consists of members from the UK Top 50 wrestlers who also hold up score cards after each match. Note: Security is only in place for the saftey of the audience.Tickets

  12. Yeah because like the rest of the population able to use the English language, having two l's instead of one will automatically make his name the hardest name in the world to spell, pronounce and say out loud. Honestly, its an extra l, don't be such a gimp.

Or he'll spend his entire life going 'No, actually, that's Dylan with two L's' when it has to be written down.
I spend my life saying "Stephen, with a PH" what's the problem?
  13. Southland Tales is a piece of shit.

I think this kind of post is why people get frustrated with Seven sometimes. Something like this without even attempting to say why he feels that way and then expecting everyone else to write an essay on it.... Frustrating see! That and the fact that too often he just jumps in and keeps hammering away that his opinion is right and everyone else is wrong.Mostly though he gives a good opinion on things, even if you don't agree he usually feels strongly about something and a lot of the time's he's right when he outlines exactly what he feels about things. He's quite a rare poster in that he sometimes makes you think about things that you wouldn't normally give a second thought too.I do feel there's some over analysis sometimes though. But hey. He's right about Southland Tales anyway.Even if he is wrong about breast feeding :D
  14. To be a bit anal ^^ It's just Brotherhood (very good)and it's Hidden Fortress (never seen). Plus the Twilight Samurai is an incredible film, slow but very worthwhile.

Most places call The Brotherhood "Brotherhood of War" to prevent confusion with other things. You're right about Last/Hidden Fortress... Never know why but I seem to have a blind spot with that for some reason....And yes, Twilight Samurai is really very, very good.Edit: Oh and for an extra bit of Miike freak out fun watch "Gozu"
  15. As I seem to be recommending world cinema I might as well go on and list a few others well worth further investigation off the top of my head.JSA Joint Security Area - Korean

Brilliant Film. I really recommend it.

    City of God - Brazilian

Yeah stonking film. Puts across the desperation and sadness across so well.

    OldBoy - Korean

Has everything, good story, great actors/actresses, clever set pieces. It really is a superb film.

    Ong Bak - Thai

one of the best 'stunt' films of the past decade.

    Warrior King - Thai

Didn't like this that much, thought the story was too crazy.I'd like to add a few on here as well.AuditionVisitor Q - Both Psychotic dramas from Takashi MiikeTwilight Samurai - Story of a man just wanting a normal life. But does he hide a hidden talent? The Brotherhood of War - Fabulous movie about two brothers in the Korean warLast Fortress - Someone called George Lucas stole some parts of star wars from this :DSeven Samurai - Remade as the Magnificent Seven (a western)Iron Monkey - A really fantastic early 90's kung fu movie. don't get the dubbed verison it's done 'comedy' style :sYou should also really check out Sympathy for Mr (and Ms) vengence as well if you like Oldboy. Different films but also very good.
