Reading the policies on their website, I tend to agree with some of them. The current immigration policies in this country are a joke.

In my experience, stalling = crowd work = more reaction than straight wrestling on its own = job done better (i.e. entertaining crowd, the job of a pro-wrestler)There are exceptions, of course, where there is too much stalling as well, which is bad for the match, but a fine balance of wrestling and stalling / crowd work normally does the trick.More stalling = longer matches = fewer matches per show = fewer wrestlers to pay = more money left in Brian Dixon's pocket.

Has it ever occurred to you that there may be other reasons for advertised wrestlers not being there sometimes? I know from running shows myself that the lineup you start with in your head quite rarely becomes the lineup you end up running with on the night. This can be for a number of reasons, including injuries, other commitments, and so forth. Admittedly, some false advertising does go on sometimes. Even then though, it's not always intentional - some promotions print a massive run of posters for shows way in advance of them and, between the time of the poster run and the show, things change. And, incidentally, on the second point, I think I know what you're referring to, and I don't see what that has to do with anything we're talking about. I don't agree with it, but it has no basis in this conversation. And, yes, I am a worker, but I'm not based in the West Country, although I do work some shows down there. And the reason I keep going on about All Star whenever there's a thread, Guvnor, is because they constantly false advertise and use tributes/kiddy characters, which all contribute to wrestling in general having a horrible public image in Britain. And I won't even touch Mad Eli, and Dixon letting him into Colston for free, to watch... well, not the wrestling, let's leave it at that. You're based in the Westcountry and you're a worker, you know what I'm on about...

The point I was making is why keep labouring the fact that the guy doesn't like All-Star? It's not like it's only been brought up once or twice when they've done something bad. It's every single time there is a thread on the promotion.Back on topic, it's a shame about wrestling at the Colston Hall coming to an end after such a long history there. Does anyone have any favourite memories from the shows there over the years?

Sephjnr: I just happened to see this thread and comments made by people that I agree with, so I said as much. Not that I really feel the need to justify myself to a cretin like you. Incidentally, for a 'smart' net fan to accuse me of acting like a parrot is about as rich as Bill Gates!Just about every thread that gets posted about All-Star has some sort of smart-arsed comment in by this NewportMoj person, and it's always the same thing again and again. If you think the All-Star product is that bad, then why keep going?

Agreed. What a complete and utter dickhead!Translation:I'll slag off anything on this forum that has something to do with All Star Promotions 'cause I'm a sad git. Can't appreciate any wrestling in this country unless Alex Shane tells me it's good. Please list all of Marty Jones' "several million" retirement matches. He's never retired or mentioned it until now. Once again you don't know what you're talking about Moj.

Myself. If I had a penis big enough to fuck myself in the arse I'd be happy.

On what qualities is the list based, or is it just someone's favourite 100 wrestlers?

Purely based on what I have seen (bearing in mind I haven't seen much from this year), I would say Five Star Flash (again, a little bit biased, but what the hell), purely based on having consistently good matches with a wide variety of people.
-
Anything the WWF/WWE has done. This isn't wrestling.
-
The Eliminator Stu Natt. Anyone who has ever been to a CSF show in Melksham will know why!
-
Bearing in mind that I haven't seen much wrestling this year (I don't watch WWE, and don't get to many shows), the best card I have seen this year (although a little bit biased) is CSF Hostile Territory (21st February, Bath Pavilion)

Although he is not as active now as he was a few years ago, I would still say Pete Collins. If you want to learn to work heel, watch Pete - the man is a genius!

All-Star.

It may be a little patronising to categorise him as a rookie, given the amount of time he has been involved in the business now, but in terms of breaking out and getting himself established more, I would say Tex Benedict stands out in my mind.

When did youtube introduce a 10 minute limit on videos? Just tried uploading another match and it came up 'rejected - video is too long'.
