Sadly Colby didn’t get KO’d but this might have been more embarrassing. As others have said he just had nothing for Leon, he reacted and flinched to pretty much every faint Leon put out. I think part of the reason Colby couldn’t get going is due to how crisp and clean Leon looked. It wasn’t the best fight and he didn’t get the stoppage but I thought it was a great performance from Leon.Â
ÂI echo the sentiments about the commentary, utter garbage. I normally like DC but when Rogan is there he’s dreadful!Â
ÂStrange card, some really good fights but don’t feel it ever really caught fire, which could be due to the fact all the fights on the main card were one way traffic.Â

Strickland called DDP the F word, as if there wasn’t enough reasons to dislike him. I’m fairness, DDP did make some comments about Stricklands abusive farther so he’s not covered in himself in glory during the press conference either.Â
ÂDo we think there should be repercussions for homophobic, sexist, xenophobic, etc comments? I don’t think I’ve ever heard Dana criticise any of the fighters for what they say.Â

Anyone else get the feeling that Leon is going to chin Covington and put him away? I don't know why I do, but that's the feeling I have.
I know he’s not a big finisher but I can see Leon getting the KO. Colby can be prone to swinging wildly and I can see Leon clipping him on the way in. It might just be wishful thinking and my dislike for Colby that’s giving me that thought.Â
ÂJeez that’s some barnet on Kelleher!Â

Definitely more subdued. It feels like Paddy's snuck in the backdoor here. Post-Gordon and the whole Ariel Helwani thing, Paddy's stock was sinking fast. Feels like time, and being able to come in when others are taking the spotlight has helped him out.
Yeah definitely more subdued and I think you are right, having other big personalities around him has helped keep the spot light off him. I’m sure he’s aware his stock fell a bit after the Gordon fight and it might be best to keep it a bit more low key. Sure he will spout some nonsense if he wins!Â
Âwhat are we feeling happens with Tony after this, surely a one sided loss sees him cut but if he wins or the fight is close I can see them letting him fight on.Â
ÂReally hyped for this now, my plans for this evening have been cancelled so I’m tempted to try and stay up to watch it live.Â
-
Been catching up on the press conference and am I the only one who found Paddy a lot less annoying this time? I thought Tony came across like a bit of a bell end. I might actually be rooting for Paddy in this one….Â

I’m going with Leon by stoppage late round 2/early round 3. I think he’ll be able to keep it on the feet and his striking is to sharpe for Colby. If Colby can’t get it to the ground I think he’ll try and brawl and imo Leon is a much better striker and will be able to snipe him and get a finish. If Leon can’t get him out of there I could see Colby grinding out a decision win.Â
I can’t fucking stand Colby so ideally a 10 second ko with him retiring would be my ideal outcome.Â
ÂNot sure on the co-main, for me it’s a bit of a pick um and maybe the hardest to predict, Pantoja I think wins by UD. I think Shavkat could make easy work of Wonderboy and make a real statement and put himself in line for next shot at the belt. Paddy to win another dodgy decision and act like it was the best performance ever. I’ll pick Garry to get another lopsided decision.Â
ÂReally looking forward to this one, even if they are making us pay for it!Â

Gotta admit, while it’s far from a great card, I think this one has definitely taken a bit of a turn for the better. Smith vs Rountree got added and now Allan Nascimento dropped out of the fight with Su Mudaerji and has been replaced by Tim Elliott, which is an upgrade in my book.
It’s a stark comedown from that brilliant card in Austin last weekend but I think the main card here will make for decent Sunday afternoon viewing. Even some of the prelims are alright as well.Â
Yeah it’s far from the worst! I think following the Austin card was always going to be s tough job but there is enough on here that, at least on paper, there should be some decent fights.

And so it begins…

Seen reports that Diego Lopes has offered to step in and fight Emmett. Considering he’s new to the roster, Lopes is turning into one of my favourite fighters to watch and wouldn’t mind seeing him against Emmett.

Bunch of bastards! Anyone know how reply’s work with box office? I’m out that Saturday and won’t be able to watch it till the Sunday afternoon.Â
-
That was a banger of a card, not a dull fight amongst them. Even the Tate fight was enjoyable. The stoppage in the Green fight was dreadful though!
Â
Tsarukyan looked the real deal, he blitzed Dariush like he was nothing. Not sure what the plans are but I’d like to see him in there with Olivera.Â

Well this sucks:

Â
That sucks, was looking forward to that fight. Wonder if they’ll try and keep Green on the card.Â
-
I didn’t see the prelims but the main card was rather enjoyable but not overly spectacular.Â
ÂIn hindsight I shouldn’t have backed Craig in the poll, he looked a bit out of his depth there. I thought Allen handled him well and and was alert to the ground game and submissions. I like Craig but he really has some holes in his game and it’s so obvious he’s just looking for the submissions.Â

They just announced an Ankalaev vs Johnny Walker rematch is headlining a Fight Night in January. Hopefully Weird Johnny takes him out of the running.Â
Yeah the last think I want to see at the moment is Ankalaev in the title picture!Â
-
Yeah in all fairness he might just have a stone in his shoe?!Â
-
Did anyone see the clip of Stipe walking out? He could hardly walk, looked like he was about 70!Â
ÂI really have zero interest in Jones fighting him, that ship has sailed but as Wand said above, uncle Dana has no interest in putting Jones in with Aspinall. I do wonder what will be next for Aspinall, will he sit out to see what happens or take on someone else?Â
-
That was some main card!Â
How can anyone not love big Tom? That was an outstanding performance! He looked so smooth in there. Would love to see him smash Jones into retirement but don’t think Jones would fancy any of that.Â
ÂStill not sure on the finish for Jiri/Alex, thought it was a bit quick but watching it back and listing to Jiri’s interview I’m not sure.Â

This is some movie shit:
Â
That was intense! That’s got me hyped for the fight. I really like both of them and don’t really want either to lose but I’d rather see Pereira win. Feel like the title is going to hot potato about for a while. I think the top contenders can all beat each other on any given day. Doesn't seem like there is a stand out amongst them.Â
-
Really looking forward to this now. No plans on Saturday or Sunday so I might try and stay up for it (will inevitably have to many beers and be asleep before the prelims).
Â
I’ve gone for Pereira and Aspinall in the polls but honestly who knows. Both fights really could go either way!Â
-
Happy to see DDP get his shot. Really thought Dana was going to have a sulk and overlook him.Â
ÂIt will be interesting to see how Volk bounces back after the KO.Â
ÂGood start to the year!Â

Speaking of Fear Factory and Trigger's broom, saw them on Saturday night and they were excellent. Milo the new singer is basically a Star in Their Eyes version of Burton C. Bell but he sounds great, that's all I needed.
I was at the gig on Saturday too!Â
ÂThought the sounded really good, really enjoyed it. I had been drinking since lunchtime though.
Â
I’m sure I remember Dino saying they’d be back for Download.

It's not I'm afraid, and that won't be genuine.
I've had a look for you and I can't even find it for sale! But based on previous trends, I would wait until the next cycle of kits, and then you should hopefully be able to pick one up (again based off previous trends) for around £50-60 like here.

Can vouch for them, good website.
Alternatively if you are DESPERATE for it and don't mind a knock off, try dhgate. That Arsenal twat @PunkStep has bought a couple off there and will steer you right.Â
I was in Slovenia a couple of weeks ago and it was €80 and I regret not buying it. I think you are right, might just have to wait for the next cycle. Thanks for looking into though!Â
Âand confession time, I’m also a Gooner Â

How much do you want to spend? And is it the 22/23 one you're after?
Yeah looking for the 22/23 one, home one ideally but the away one is also good.Â
Âlooking for around £25-£35? Is that realistic? I found it on just adore but I’ve not idea if they are legit, the picture don’t look quite right.Â
-
Has anyone got a recommendations for sites selling cheap kits? I want to get the Slovenia national home shirt as it’s a thing of pure beauty!Â

I’ve been on holiday and was meant to land back in the uk at 11am yesterday so I had plenty of time to get back for this. Flight got delayed and I walked in the front door just in time to see the end of the Walker fight.Â
ÂI’ve not watched the rest of the card yet but it felt pretty anticlimactic given how good the fights looked on paper. Maybe if I’d watched from the start I’d have enjoyed it more but seeing Volk get ko’d was gutting. In hindsight, maybe he shouldn’t have taken the fight on such short notice but full credit to him (and Usman) for stepping in.Â

Seems like everyone is trashing Colby at the moment and I’m all for it. Not sure it will make any difference and he will still be the same insufferable prick.Â
Â
Who do we think Leon fights next? If Shavkat needs sugary on his ankle he could be out for a while. Will the finally give Belal his shot? I think that a pretty winnable fight for Leon.Â
