  1. Barrett's celebration after the match was boss. Jumping round the ring then rolling up the ring then holding hands with Sheamus while having his belly slapped by Rusev. They should make a European stable with those three, Cesaro and Neville. I know people have spoken about it before and some aren't overly keen on it but I reckon it'd work.

Overall RAW was enjoyable for the most part.

  2. Are Texans that daft that they can't chant in unison? At the start of the show, both Austin and Undertaker had the same chant going at three different speeds. Austin went Foley-eqsue with the cheap pop of "Dallas, Texas" three times in a about a 30 second promo. None of which really garnered any reaction. He tried throwing out most of his old catchphrases (which is something very few modern day wrestlers actually have, when in the good ol' days of the Attitude Era nearly everybody had one) which again didn't get the response they should have. The only bit that worked was the "What?" chant.

Then he disappears. Taker arrives and takes his usual fortnight to get to the ring. His promo weren't anything special, nor was Heyman's. The tease of Lesnar getting in the ring at the end was a bit pointless to. Nothing new was added to the story.

New Day against Dudleys and Cena was a fun opener like. New Day are boss and at least one of them should have a part to play in Cena losing the US Title. Big E beats him at Hell in a Cell with outside help from Woods and Kofi. Later in the night during the Tag Team match, Cena gets involved costing the Dudleys via DQ. Dudleys get a cob on, Bubba hits the Bubba Bomb off the ramp to the floor, Cena is written off WWE.

BAD against Bellas was bad. If any WWE fan hasn't watched NXT, they'll have no idea why people fuss about Sasha, or any of the call ups for that matter. The main roster isn't allowing any of the new girls to really show their qualities. The only thing added, and it may not of even been intentional, was when Tamina was consoling Naiomi on the loss, Sasha did throw a nasty look their way. Maybe the start of her splitting away. Also one of the Bella lot hit one of their own and nobody really seemed to mention it.

HBK and Rollins should have been a lot better than it was. But it was actually shite. Also, why every time Shawn comes back do they feel the need to remind us he's best mates with Triple H. We already know that. And they go the route again of embarrassing their World Heavyweight champion. The fella who should be made to look as strong as possible is made to be a complete joke. His match was Ryback was ok for while it lasted, and the fact the champ picked up a clean victory was a nice change for him. But in the grand scheme of things, it meant nothing.

Second six man tag was essentially a way of tying in two different feuds (Barrett/Neville & Ziggler/Rusev) while adding two fellas they have to find a place for on the show (Sheamus & Cesaro). This could have been served better as a six man free for all to determine the number one contender for Cena's US Title or who gets the number 30 spot in the Rumble even. Then let them brag about it for the next three months. It makes a match mean something if there's something at the end of it. Just tossing it together makes fan not give a shit, even when it's an enjoyable match like this one was.

Flair and Reigns is best left to the fast forward button. I wouldn't press play for Charlotte against Brie Bella either, just keep it rolling.

Kevin Owens against Mark Henry was enjoyable enough for what is was, a chance for Owens to prove his dominance over somebody as established as Henry. I know he's not top-tier quality and is now seen as a joke, but beating Henry still holds some weight for Owens. Even this could have been a storyline for him, constantly going over former world champs. Henry, Ziggler, Swagger, Big Show, Miz, Jericho, Sheamus and maybe even a returning Daniel Bryan. (but he's feuding with Ryback so that's a non-starter)

Wyatts against Shield. Even some as big as that they manage to fuck up. Why would the Authority put their golden boy, just a week ahead of defending his world title, to join the two men who are supposed to hate him more than anybody? On top of that, he's going against the supposedly most dangerous stable in WWE today. And he's already wrestled once in the night. Match was sound but the logic to getting there makes your head hurt.

  3.

The darts on Sky are currently going with the "eat, sleep, darts, repeat" mantra.

Doesn't that originate from the Fatboy Slim song "Eat. Sleep. Rave. Repeat"? I thought that's where WWE got it from.

    Is it?

Don't think I could tell you any Fatboy Slim lyrics since he left the Housemartins.

  4. Do modern day WWE factions/stables have a limit of three people?

Other than the Authority, who was the last stable to have a sustained period of more than three members? Wyatt's, Shield. Legacy, S.E.S, New Day, all three (ironically!) of the current teams in the divas revolution are all primarily three person teams. I'm guessing at Nexus as the last stable with more than three men in.

  5. If Punk is challenging Rock for a rematch at Elimination Chamber - does that mean there's only gonna be one proper Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Title?

Or are they gonna throw in another one for one of the other titles or possibly even Undertaker's streak or is Punk's rematch as part of a traditional Elimination Chamber match?

  6. Just had a check on the website and you're right, Ziggler is announced for it already. Did that happen on Raw? I thought he was just going to be sticking around the world title guys from now on to get away from the Cena feud.

Yeah think it was the first RAW of this year mate. I think it was in response to the whole shit dropping on him and AJ on New Year's Eve.

But if I remember rightly Ziggler did say he was only in it, to ensure Cena didn't win it. Keeps that irritating and boring feud going for at least another couple of weeks.

  7. From that list, Santino, Mysterio, Christian, Henry and Sin Cara are all out injured at the moment. Short of Santino (who only got injured last week) the others would be surprise returns. Ziggler in the Rumble when he's got the Money in the Bank doesn't make much sense to me, either. Obviously there's nothing stopping it and it's a unique story, and the show-off gimmick kind of works for it... But I've got a suspicion he'll either be champion by then or involved in the title match somehow.

I thought Christian and Henry were fit again and just waiting for the right time to be reintroduced? I totally forgot that Sin Cara was injured and I weren't aware either Santino or Rey were injured - so ta for the heads up on them.

Hasn't Ziggler already confirmed he'll be in the Rumble though just to ensure that Cena doesn't win it if nothing else? And who knows, he could be in the Rumble and go on to win it, challenge and defeat the WWE champion at Mania then cash in on the WHC and hold both major titles. (I'm aware that's quite far fetched and is more tongue in cheek than anything)

  8. Had a look at the WWE roster page earlier and, because I'm that sad, tried to get 30 Rumble entrants out of the active/television regulars. They're gonna struggle unless they've got a good few returns and surprises lined up. They'd be absolutely buggered trying to do a 40-man this year.

I don't know mate, there should be enough without the need to bring too many old faces back. Maybe one or two returning from injury might boost numbers.

    1 - Sheamus

    2 - Orton

    3 - Cena

    4 - Ziggler

    5 - Mysterio

    29 - Henry

    30 - Clay

I know they're not all on telly week in week out (which was your point I believe), but it's not gonna be too difficult for them to fill. That's before the likes of Big E and the Shield might be thrown in. As well as maybe the losers of the WWE and WHC matches possibly going into the Rumble and no doubt I've missed somebody quite obvious off that initial 30. (the numbers aren't what I think the entrance numbers will be by the way before somebody takes it that way)

Like I said, I think they've got enough without needing to bring in too many old faces or fill it with another Booker T entrance.

  9. Apparently, Madusa has tweeted that she'll be around for the 20th anniversary of RAW.

Would certainly be different from the usual Trish, Lita, Steph and Mae Young. Not sure how big a reaction she'd get though, unless she brought a bin to the ring with her with the old women's belt inside it and they decided to go back to that title.
