Also on the same website/service is the 1968 dub of Destroy All Monsters. The cracks in the budget of the original are showing with some very janky looking effects

Do you enjoy the Corridor Crew at all?

    Demolition Man

    Is it better than Robocop?

    No.

Do I want to watch this? How gross is it?

You'll never hang up a shirt again.

Nah, it's not too bad. The volume of blood is concerning, but it's not too dissimilar to what was pissing out of Joey Mercury's face after the ladder incident.

And in all fairness, that was a good promo.

Full transparency time....never heard of him to be honest. Seems a decent chap though

He was head of The Magic Circle in the 90s.

There's a pretty well known clip of him that pops up on compilation shows, where he has two nurses each hold one of his wrists, and then he changes his heartrate to each of them.

Definitely a brilliant mind for creating magic tricks, but he wasn't as memorable a showman as the likes of Daniels, Burton, Copperfield, Bongo, etc.

OK, even if they did break up: he loves Rachel so much that within HOURS he's sleeping with the Xerox girl? I can't be having that.

I mean she is fit, but again, Rachel is the love of his life, Ross is a pretty pragmatic guy who took forever to get with Rachel, so it's really out of character for him. I don't buy it at all, and I'm with Rachel all the way.

Rachel says let's take a break. Ross thinks they mean a break from arguing, but Rachel makes it clear that she wants a break from him.

He calls her later to try and patch things up, and not only has Mark got straight in there, she lies to him about Mark being there.

I can totally understand the betrayal that Ross feels.

  5. I don't what I did to sway the algorithms, but for the last two months Facebook has bombarded me with posts from flat Earth groups. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help reading them and (Jesus fucking Christ) the arguments are far more mental than I could have imagined.

In amongst the flat Earthers, there's Moon deniers, gravity deniers, believers in multiple natural suns, believers that there are additional man-made suns, etc.

I’d add Phoebe to the shit characters list. Love the show and the main characters, except for her. Instant fast forward if she’s not with the others. Doubly worse when she’s with Michael Rapaport.

I did a rewatch a couple years back. I know a lot of people rate Chandler and Joey highly for the funniest characters, but I Rachel is very underrated. I think she’s the best in the first few seasons.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that didn't like Phoebe. She was just too silly for me.

  7. Today I learned that Sissy Spacek provided the voice for Anne Uumellmahaye in The Man With Two Brains.

For all the times I've seen it over the last 30+ years, I don't think I've ever even wondered who it was.

  8. I used to play Space Hulk a fair bit (the original version, that had the Genestealer and Deathwing expansion packs), but it's just sat on a shelf for years as I've nobody to play it with now, and also don't really have the space to set it up.

I have a bunch of Space Marines, along with a couple of Rhinos and Land Raiders, that I used to like modding and painting, but I never got into Warhammer 40K properly.

  9. I can't help but love this clip. The girl reminds me of myself at that age, as we have a cassette recording of me when I'm about 3 being asked to sing Hickory Dickory Dock, and I start off with the mouse running DOWN the clock, before collapsing into hysterics.

What I find fascinating is that I've seen behind-the-scenes photos from Sesame Street, and the puppeteers (in this case it would be Jim Henson himself) are visible to all around them, and yet the children totally accept that the Muppets are alive.

That my daughter is an anti-semite because she has a reversible octopus plushie.

My son has a reversible Pacman ghost, that changes from red to blue. What does that make him?

It's always Tory candidates who break this.  If you consider the sort of person who they choose as candidates (coughDuanecough) it's not surprising, generally thick man-babies with recessive chins.

I've been dipping into Gold lately, and last week revisited the Hollie Grieg thread. The idea of Duane as a councillor is both surreal and frightening.
