  1. Davey Richards- Life Saver....

"TNA Superstars come from all walks of life and with all different experiences. The stars of IMPACT WRESTLING have backgrounds ranging from military veterans to professional stunt women. Davey Richards is certainly best known as a ring technician, but did you know that he is also a firefighter and Critical Care Flight Paramedic?

The former TNA World Tag Team Champion headed to the UK in-order to practice one of those skill sets during the Maximum IMPACT Tour but had to use more by the time the trip was over. The Wolves boarded their return flight from the UK when a medical emergency occurred and Richards sprung to action!

Richards responded to the pilot's call for any trained medical personnel and successfully treated an elderly woman experiencing heart problems. Richards was commended by the flight staff, the patient and the patient's family.

After hearing about the story, IMPACTWRESTLING.com reached Davey for comment:

"I feel it's my personal duty to put good in the world. Whether inspiring people to chase their dreams and keep fighting as one half of the Wolves or helping people in their time of need. I want to be there to help and lead by example."

Put that down as your feel good story of the day! Way to go, Davey!"

  2. Joel Redman just been on The Hotel, on channel 4. Was on screen for about 60 seconds and came across like a right knob

I saw this as well. Hilarious. Everything about it was so cringe-y (and that is saying something, when it was on the cringe-fest that is The Hotel). The initial meeting with Joel and the manager set the scene...http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-hotel/videos/all/s4-ep6-big-lad

Then we skip to the day of the show. From the wrestlers turning up in a limo (the Britwres version of the Four Horsemen, perhaps? Or judging by their cheap suits and lack of athletic physique, maybe they could be called 'The Four Estate Agents'? Arriving in style for their big event inside a tiny hotel function room), to them telling the manager that they wouldn't degrade themselves by having a arm wrestling match (yet were happy to play fight in their hotel room for the cameras), it was just yuck. At least Joel Redman looks like a wrestler.

  3. Tickets were $20-$95.

300 fans at $20 a ticket is a joke, but you could argue the bigger concern is the fact they only had 500 fans for the relaunch show which featured the World Title rematch..

Completely agree. Whoever is in charge of pr/marketing at TNA needs a rocket up their arse. Whilst not the best, the TV really isn't that bad (in my opinion), but there is no buzz about it at all.

  4. Update regarding Wednesday's ratings:

TV By the Numbers, the same source that weekly WWE Raw, Smackdown and, in general, most TV ratings information comes from, Impact Wrestling actually did 359,000 viewers in its jump to the new network.

Their official statement was that “Impact Wrestling earned a 0.1 adults 18-49 rating and 359,00 viewers.” The website did not indicate whether or not this number included the replay in the 11 p.m. ET timeslot, but given TNA’s frustration over preliminary reports, we would speculate the final number (including the addition 105,000 reported) came in around 464,000 for both the live airing and the replay.
