Josh Alexander Vs TJP in the Iron Man Match was incredible. Worth a watch. The bulk of the match is on Before The Impact on YouTube then the final moments roll over onto the main Impact Wrestling broadcast
I thought it was great. Loved the ending. Definitely recommended:

Get yourself a match-used rat trap signed by the Swingman, daddy...

Impact is moving to Thursday. I guess this confirms, if it hasn't already been announced, that NXT is moving to Tues.

Yeah, the whole YouTube thing is a disaster on their part. Advertise that the show will be available on YouTube for UK fans, then don't upload it, get questioned about it by fans online, and then almost deny that it was ever said. Not a great move.
Watched the show on the Impact app. Again, another very watchable show. It flows nicely, there are clear characters and storylines, and the commentary is so much better now. Rich Swann needs to drop the belt, though. He is decent in the ring and comes across as quite likeable, but he looks out of place in the main event scene.

Up until a few years ago, I always watched and enjoyed the Royal Rumble. I have seen the highlights of both rumbles from last night, and both seemed pretty dull to me. I appreciate the lack of crowd doesn't help, but it was just so 'paint by numbers'. The whole "they've gone over the top rope but their feet haven't touched the floor, so they are now going to do some convoluted spot to get back in the ring" bullshit is so cliche now and needs to stop.
I think I need to just go back to watching old stuff, as the current product makes me less of a fan of wrestling every time I give it a go.

Pretty decent episode. Surprise appearances from Matt Hardy, Private Party and James Storm, the (fingers crossed) exit of Taya (really don't get the fuss- bad acting and meh in the ring), Swann/Moose feud, and I'm liking the new 'Karen' character Susan.

A change was definitely needed! The current commentary was so lifeless. D'Lo can be hilarious, and when Striker has been on commentary for Impact in the past, he has sounded ok.

Watched the WALTER-Dragunov match from this week. I’d got quite into WALTER last year thanks to his entrance and that stunner of a Bate match. But this was just silly. Not to come across all Bret Hart, but there’s no art in just smacking each other as hard as you can for half an hour. There wasn’t even the excuse of feeding off a crowd, they were doing it for an audience of precisely zero! I hope someone had a word backstage and reminded them it’s not real.
Completely agree. I just watched it and winced throughout. Slap, slap, kick, German Suplex, repeat. Unnecessarily stiff and nothing like what I'd call a pro wrestling match. The commentary was terrible as well- 'oh wow' every five seconds. I haven't seen much NXT UK, but the kick/kick/high spot style seems to be rife throughout the UK scene generally.Â

I don't have Freesports either but it should be free on Demand - the Freesports App
I have the FreeSports app, and you can definitely watch the channel for free on there. I'll be tuning in to Impact tonight at 10- Johnny Swinger is in action, so it's bound to be good.

Impact has signed a deal with Premier Sports in the UK. Impact will be shown on FreeSports every Wednesday at 10pm, and it looks like PPVs will be shown on their Premier Sports subscription channels.

Wrestle House is a new skit starting this week on Impact. Johnny Swinger is the fucking man- so brilliant.

This view isn't a new one, but wrestling isn't the same no more. The big time feel, the larger than life characters... I know that NXT is the second tier of WWE, but the show is broadcast all over the world. I've just seen their poster for the GAB, and the whole look of it smacks 'Live American Style Wrestling' that you'd see at your local leisure centre.Â

Considering the stuff that came out about Bagga in this and the previous expose, probably not.
Which I have experience of ;). I was more making light of the fact he's a massive Tory.
One of the MPs involved has Tweeted about the APPG. Looking forward to seeing what change this brings!

Presumably the government getting involved means they're looking to see whether anybody involved in wrestling is or wants to be a Tory backer, and what they can do to make a quick buck off the back ofÂ
Great, so that means Sanjay Bagga and LDN Wrestling survives...

49.00 minutes in, Paige's WWE Network interview. Aggressive family behaviour.Â
Seriously, what the actual fuck? Roy smacks a guy round the head with a pool cue and said guy apologised because 'that's how much people respect my brother'? Yeah, not sure it's because of respect, somehow...

Oh absolutely people knew. No doubt about it. But either because (a) they didn't give a shit or (b) they were too scared to lose their position or ruffle feathers etc, a lot of them won't have ever come forward. It's a tough situation for some people to be put in, especially if they think they won't be believed and it's someone who's held in high regards by a lot of others.
That's true, and maybe I'm being too harsh. I think it's more that I have a problem with this type of 'I must share my like/dislike/snide comment/inside joke' behaviour on social media, especially Twitter.Â
It's going to be a very interesting few day- going by the rate at which people are being accused, there must be a load of guys shitting themselves right now.Â

How fucked up is all of this? It's the right of the victims to come forward when/if they feel ready, but what about everyone else in the locker room? It's all well and good tweeting 'I'm shocked. I'm sorry. My DMs are open' blah blah, but surely some of them already knew? There was something going around Twitter the other day about Nathan Cruz tweeting anti-semitic 'jokes' a few years ago, and other BritWres guys jumped to his defence with the old 'people can change' chestnut.
I am not surprised seeing Sanjay Bagga being named. I briefly trained with LDN about 11 years ago, and whilst I never saw or heard anything suspect, he would often make 'jokes' about people being gay and 'bumming' when trainees were grappling. I let it go a few times, but ended up telling him he was homophobic and never returned. He also sent me messages on FB which always started along the lines of 'hello mister', which now I think about it is kinda creepy.

70 year old Mike Jackson makes his Impact debut. Johnny Swinger is still my favourite wrestler.Â

The Cornette/Sullivan interview is now up on YouTube. Nothing majorly new, but something to pass the time during lockdown:Â
Â
-
I know it's been discussed before, but with my use of social media increasing dramatically during this coronavirus lockdown, I've been noticing more and more how irritating wrestlers are online (mainly Twitter). Inside 'jokes', digs at other wrestlers/promotions, and the biggest crime of all, the use of their real name (but sticking with their wrestler name for the @). Am I overreacting? Do I need to get a life? Please, people, share your thoughts

Jim Cornette is doing an interview with Kevin Sullivan on his podcast, and it will go out on 10th April. This is in relation to Kevin not appearing on the Vice doc (out of choice- according to Jim, this was due to a lack of understanding/communication about the doc focus, and Kevin not wanting to upset Nancy's family).Â

I just watched the Smackdown highlight show. Yikes.... I haven't watched a WWE show for years, only catching YouTube bits occasionally. What has happened to WWE? I know that this has been a trend across wrestling for a few years now, but the punch/kick fests are wank. The chilli con ca.. I mean, dog food stipulation was lame. The footage seemed to be sped up sometimes- I guess this is to keep to the hour time limit. I watched Impact last night, and actually think I preferred that (the echoey Mexican arena was rubbish, though). I'll try and catch the Raw show tomorrow, hoping it will be better!Â

Yikes, that promo is bad. Pre-taped and edited, and that's the best they can come up with? Shocking. As someone else said, she comes across as someone (badly) pretending to be a heel. All I've seen of NXT UK is this promo and a flippy floppy match (not sure who the wrestlers were)- I don't think I'll watch any more.Â
