  1. That's actually a better start than usual. Green Lung and Hellripper are two of my favourite bands and I've been wanting to see NFO for years.

Amon Amarth, Rotting Christ, Unleash the Archers, Igorrr and Korpiklaani (for the nostalgia) all worth a watch too.

  2. Aye, there are legs in Punk being a fake champion and facing a few people before the final confrontation with MJF/whoever is champ.

Heel Punk Vs face MJF at the PPV in November is a good aim. The MJF/Cole storyline can play out in the meantime and Punk can deal with Starks and whoever else for a bit.

  3. Saw Calligram a couple of months ago and they blew me away, looking forward to catching them again.

Everyone put the effort in despite the horrific attendance. Taking away everyone who was either playing in the bands (Balgurra and Beyst were the local supports) or a girlfriend of someone in the band, I think the final count was 15.

The low attendance thing was a constant for pretty much every metal gig in Newcastle (outside of big bands) until the pandemic. Weirdly after lockdown ended loads more people started coming out and now the underground stuff is either sold out or close to. It's great, means we can finally start getting some good tours rather than having to travel elsewhere.

  4. The commentary really is the pits. I don't mind KK on Forbidden Door or the bits of NJPW I've seen but he's dreadful here.

The Andrade/HoB angle is the only thing really grabbing me at the moment. I'm assuming it'll lead into a trios match with the rest of LFI but I don't know how that'll work with RUSH/Vance/Dralistico being heels. Maybe Vikingo and Kommander instead?

Hoping the BCG/CMFTR thing is leading to White getting the win over Punk and solidifying him as a proper main eventer, as he should be.

  5. I've put my ticket up for sale on Ticketmaster. I was looking forward to going but the overall cost with transport, hotels etc has turned out to be more than I'm really willing to pay. It's section 221, row 13, seat 178 if anyone wants to save a few quid on the standard asking price 😉

It was a bit weird that they didn't reference Danielson's injury at all, unless I missed it.

I was thinking that maybe NJPW don't want the fact that Okada lost to a guy with a broken arm being mentioned, as that makes him look a bit shit.

Reports coming out that Punk reckons Hangman was stiffing him at the pay per view. I might have to watch it back and see.

Scores not settled. Heat amongst the guys. New prime time show that needs to succeed.

    *Taps the sign*

Get Bobby Fish back for that Punk dream match.

Personally I’d like to know if they’re mates with Punk since they’re tagging together. I hope they get on.

Until Cash says he's more of a Shawn guy.

  9. Sadly no Newcastle date, but I think I'll go up to Glasgow.

Green Lung have also announced a tour (not including Newcastle either but they did do a one-off here last month). Think it'll be Sheffield for me that time.
