  1. Never listened to Russo, never will. For a bloke whose wrestling writing is so horribly anti-woman it's not a shock to hear him still jiving about everyone being a gay wrestling virgin. He's basically your dad who tells you it's fake and calls you a poof, but doesn't like the big hosses like your dad does.

Simon Munnery was fantastic last night.  First time I've attended a Trapdoor event and really enjoyed it.  The first act were Jolly Boat and I winced when I saw them taking the stage with guitar in hand.  Thought they were shit.  One guy was on called Simon Lomas and I thought he was brilliant too.  All in all a cracking night, will have to attend more comedy events like this.

I don't mind Jollyboat. Simon Lomas is good.

Simon Munnery in a pub in Chorlton? Yes please!

    XS Malarkey?

I got offered a spot at XS tonight, but missed it because I work nights and fell asleep minutes before the message was sent to me. Curses.

  4. Bruce getting emotional about Piper was a hard listen, if only his wife had died.

Bit mental this. I'm genuinely not sure what that last sentence is in reference too. Sorry chaps, minds drawing a blank. I don't think it was anything malicious. Love Bruce's podcast. That's genuinely baffled me.

  5. Yeah, I'd love to sit there all day while people repeat the same condolences. It could be easier over Twitter than dealing with all that for several days. Some of them may possibly not have a contact number for him, could be anything. Fucking hell, was it controlled demolition?

  6. It's disrespectful to her. It's just cause he is JR people don't want to say anything. If my next door neighbour announced his wife's death via twitter with the praying emoji, then started promoting his podcast, I'd be thinking "What the fuck?"

Yes, I know you will say "But JR is famous, and wanted to let all of his fans know".

Sorry, I just think there is a lot to be said for quiet, dignified grieving.

Could be a standard case of Panic Normality. What an awful opinion.

  7. I went to see Bangor Uni's Theatre group do a production of Patrick Marber's bag of bollocks 'Closer' many years ago. It was one of the most arrogant up it's own arse productions. State of it. I love shit theatre sometimes.

  8. Listening to review podcasts recently and it's interesting how a fan who didn't grow up with a character like Elizabeth and watching it back retrospectively, dislikes the performer and any use of her, because of her obvious performance anxiety, when that's actually the selling character trait. God I love the Liz/Randy arc.
