  1. Have we got confirmation one way or the other whether tonight's Impact debut on Virgin1 is the show that aired last night on Spike (i.e. less than 24hr delay) or is it eight days old, and just another repeat of the show that has already aired on Bravo a few times?

  2. Incredible we've reached this far and not had any Michelle Pfeiffer adoration. She's clocked up the half century, and would still get it in a heartbeat.

  3. What's happened to Eden Black and JP Monroe?

Ain't seen or heard of either of 'em for ages!

Real life got in the way.

They're doing well and are in the midst of preparing for their marriage later this year. You'll struggle to find a nicer couple.

  4. It's never been mentioned at any point other than that.

Also the McGann movie, for completeness sake - even if the writer (and Paul McGann) got it wrong at the time and it had to be redubbed.

  5. And it's also clear that if you look at things ONLY taking place on screen then things make even less sense. I mean, let's look at this 13 regenerations thing. It's mentioned in 3 stories I think out of the loads of stories in the past. Who cares? Are people that anal that they would get really angry if they just continued to make Doctor Who beyond the 13th Doctor? No. Can they get round it? Yes. Why? Cos it's fiction!!!!

    Oh please.

Doctor Who - like any TV show - has established its own rules and continuity. Sure stuff doesn't tie up from time to time and there are continuity errors in a near 50 yr span, but having a "fuck what's been established, let's just go mad" attitude would be horrible. Just regenerating past the thirteenth Doctor without even a brief storyline reason would be some of the shoddiest show-running ever. And with a programme so rich in history and great stories, why would anyone *want* to dieregard the show's heritage?

  6. Also (and it's probably the wrong thread, but fuck it, we're here now) will there be a run down of the UKFF UK50 at all? Would be interesting to do the flip side of the coin and get a full run down of the 50 best. (Though with them being more widely known, it might also require a double length of show to pull off the amount needed for discussion).

I haven't asked Ben yet, but I think I mentioned in some thread or other that I'm not averse to this idea. He and I shall talk about it in due course.
  7. Hopefully if Moj does a SHITARSE 50 each year, then there will be an $&M show to go with it, though hopefully for next time it would be prepared for in advance and mebbe information can be obtained for each shitarse, so they can at least give a minute to the unknown ones (even if the fact getting is little more than e-mailing people back to ask "why did you vote for this guy?")

Fair comment. This $&M Show was done very seat-of-the-pants (more so than usual, even, believe it or not) as Dean and I had got together to do some commentary. While there, Dean said "Hey, let's do a show", and I thought it was a good idea as it's been waaaay too long since the last show, and the previous show I had planned had fallen through due to circumstances beyond my control. So, we said "Let's talk about the FIFTY", which resulted in a call to MOJ to find out the placings that were yet to be announced. Dean and I had nothing but a list in front of us, and I'm not sure about what MOJ had to go on.I already joked to MOJ that I should make it my job in the next year to see all the shitarses on the list and cross them off my list. Don't know how possible that is, but at least there should be more stories by the time next year's FIFTY comes around.
  8. The $&M Show finally got uploaded to the www.britwres.com servers, so any further downloads might as well be done from there.

    Your URL is http://www.britwres.com/news/220292821.shtml

I'm actually out of the house now, and I'm not sure why it's happened (as it wasn't like that earlier when I posted the page), but it looks like shitarses have gotten into the system and botched the apostrophies and so on. Guh. That'll get fixed later.

  9. I was surprised Flatliner didn't get on this list. I got nothing against him, as long as I go at least a few weeks between seeing a Flatliner match, but I would have thought he would have got many votes.

I mentioned this during the $&M Show. I voted for him... but I appear to have been perhaps the only one. Bizarre.
  10. That Warrior - Hermann match happened in Germany, didn't it?What would I tag this show? I'm very anal about what I put in my MP3 ID tags.Good stuff.

It did indeed happen in Germany. I'd never heard of such a thing - it was Dean that mentioned it in passing during the show. It's tagged as per the normal $&M Show tagging format. Re-tag if you feel inclined though!

    SHITARSE FIFTY WIPE-UP~!

Okay folks... this is NOT uploaded yet at www.britwres.com, but rather than wait for Mr Edler to upload, I'm throwing it out on a megaupload link instead.

Hopefully in due course it'll be uploaded to the britwres servers for posterity, but given that the show was already sitting in the can for a week while the UKFF had driver issues, and that it's taken a few days this week as I struggled with internet issues, I'd better finally let this beast out.

It's the RETURN of myself and Dean Ayass with the latest edition of the $&M Show. The big selling point is that show co-founder MOJ is on the phone, and together, we rundown the SHITARSE FIFTY, telling jokes, making comments and telling stories where applicable for OVER AN HOUR. Whoo~!

But before we even get to that, Dean and I discuss all manner of other things, such as...

-- the recent Pro-Wrestling NOAH shows in the UK, and also TNA

-- Ulf Hermann vs The Ultimate Warrior (this *actually* happened)

-- Doug Basham (including a story of him getting legit KO'd by Sid Vicious)

-- the Feud of the Year so far in the UK

-- the retirement of the UK Pitbulls, and how they once put Colt Cabana in his place

    -- Indypendence Day(s)

    -- Kendo Nagasaki

-- The impending return of the AWA:UK

-- and as if to transition into the SHITARSE FIFTY, some discussion about how disappointingly easy it is for people to get into the british wrestling industry.

ALSO INCLUDED - Inappropriate Len Davies humour~! What's Len's measurement, and the best new euphemism for YEARS~!

Show lasts 1hr 55mins, and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, the Black Crowes' "Sting Me" has been replaced (for this show only) by the theme music of noted Shitarse, Dirty Oil.

    Enjoy, people

Also, if the link goes down for any reason (be it overuse or general megaupload shittiness), can someone please oblige with a re-upload until we get it up on some proper servers? Thanks.
