I'm replaying Yakuza 6 before I get Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and I've found that it's actually cheaper to buy a physical Asian or Japanese copy which both come with English language subtitles. We don't get a physical version at all here.

Oh Y6. Really fun game to play but the story absolutely sucked, imo. I thought that the big conspiracy in particular was a massive wet fart.

Some of my favourite side stories in the entire series, though.

  2. I'm into Chapter 3 of Like a Dragon Gaiden and oh boy that first chapter is a bore, even compared to previous games in the series. Story elements are fine but it's really bare bones when it comes to gameplay for the duration of chapter 1.

Thankfully once you unlock a certain area in chapter 2, the game finally starts to open up, proper.

It's clear early on that it's a smaller scale experience than most of the series but that doesn't bother me. Still loads to do.

And of course Kiryu now being a gadget wielding secret agent, is the kind of silly bollocks I live for.

Oh and @Keith Houchen if you ever decide to give it a go, make sure you are alone when you unlock the hostess, mini game.

I've got the day off work today, and I was quite looking forward to spending most of it playing Like A Dragon Gaiden. The sodding thing crashes at the start of the first chapter, a full-on console shutdown as soon as the title of the chapter appears on screen. I changed the HDR setting, which seems to fix similar problems with other games (basically just don't use it), but it's still not having it. Hope anyone else playing the Game Pass version on Series X is having more joy!

Edit: leaving the Xbox unplugged for half an hour before having another try seems to have fixed it (in combination with leaving the HDR setting turned off).

Currently playing on PS5 with HDR on. Zero problems, so far.

  4. Overall another 'okay' show, I thought.

All that build just for MJF to team with The Acclaimed was a let down, match was fun though.

Shit announcement from Sniff but I'd already set my expectations low.

OC/Claudio was fun. Hoping we are seeing the beginning of the end for the BCC.

Shida/Willow. Didn't give a shit and I hope Shida wrecks, Storm.

Kyle Fletcher looked pretty bloody good in a suit. Shame his first job with The Don Callis Family, was just getting lamped by a barely mobile, Paul White.

Bucks heel turn tease? Works for me.

Other stuff I've already forgotten which is a problem I have with all weekly wrestling, to be honest.

Ric Flair "I'm going to be there every week until the end of the road."

    Week 2: ...

    👍 for AEW's inconsistent booking.

Maybe Sniff got a look at Flair's DM's and didn't like what he saw.

    Edit.

Bollocks. That'll teach me not to post before catching up on the thread.

  6. I'm gonna have to start making my way through Daily's Place/pandemic era AEW.

As strange as this may seem to some, it's still my favourite period of AEW. Helped get me through those shitty times.

As for Dynamite this week. Gross old cunt aside, it was alright.

Ruby Soho looks like someone who is bolting for the door, as soon as her contract runs out. Match was rubbish.

Almost Zero crowd reaction to Toni Storm, post match. Think we might actually see some fan backlash if she beats Shida (who is still really popular) for the belt.

Oh the Shida/Baker tension is another story line that seems to have been completely dropped.

    Cracking opener.

    Decent main event.

The Swerve segment played out better than I expected it to. Prince Nana being uncomfortable was a nice touch.

  7. Just completed Dragon Age 2

I'd forgotten how hilariously stupid almost every character is. Seriously, find me a game with bigger collection of idiots.

    It's actually endearing.

Anders nuking The Chantry still gets a good laugh out of me, as does Sabastian trying to give it the big one while running away with his tail between his legs, because of course I totally approve of Anders starting the DA equivalent of WWIII.

Naturally I sided with the Mages, as dumb and weak willed as they in DA2. Seriously fart on a Mage in the game and they'll either drop dead, surrender of resort to blood magic.

Fenris switching sides TWICE in the final act, depending on how you play it. Fickle, boring bastard.

Some decent DLC. Probably a good challenge if I didn't shit out and drop the difficulty.

8 magical nukes out of 10.
