YouTube does them automatically, I assume TV broadcasts are the same. Are they at least faster now? I used to watch football and wrestling with the subtitles on occasionally, and theyâd be about 3 minutes behind.

Our contracts are near pointless. When I was working overseas I pointed out that the contract made it impossible for them to release me for my performance or lack thereof and they said they knew and it's a problem in all the contracts they write.
Iâd love a contract like that.
My new work laptop, which Iâm getting because of my managerâs lies, is almost ready. Today, the head of my department messaged me and asked if I can go to the office for it or whether I need someone to get it for me (which Iâm hearing second-hand means sheâd be getting it for me) and deliver it to me at home.
Now, my manager and another colleague are saying Iâve got to go and get it because initial logon on a new device has to be done on the companyâs wired network or something. And Iâd feel bad putting another staff member out having to drive to the Black Country just to deliver it to me. But I also donât fancy a three hour round trip on public transport at the moment, and the staff member dropping the laptop to me would be doing so in their own car.
Also, my office is open as of yesterday and theyâre doing the alternate Team A/Team B thing for access, but they havenât yet told us which one is allowed in on which days. So I donât even know when I can go and get it.

I'm not a fan of Nia Jax at all and think she should've been potted ages ago but don't really see how that's all her fault, surely Sane is more at fault for not getting her hands up?
There are thousands of wrestling fans with anime profile pictures on Twitter. Nothing is ever going to be Kairi Saneâs fault, especially when the alternative culprit for her latest injury is an Internet Naughty like Nia Jax or Charlotte Flair. At least this time dey arenât writing deir own fapfiction about Kairi screaming for real life help before the bump. đ
Both wrestlers are shite. The worst part is when Nia Jax talks. Her voice gives me terrible anxiety.
Overall, Raw just comes off very flat and unexciting. No momentum to anything. Most of it isnât terrible, but itâs nowhere near must see. That said, I do consider Edge vs Orton at Backlash a must-see match because of the ridiculous billing. I know Iâm setting myself up for a letdown, but Iâm really hoping for something mad to happen.
Everything involving Zelina Vegaâs group feels like filler content to me. Theyâre all great, but theyâve been all over Raw since WrestleMania. Apollo Crews hasnât shaken off the last four years for me either, so feuding with him only solidifies Andrade and Garza as filler in my eyes. And Kevin Owens getting involved lowers his stock greatly to me. The last few weeks with them have all felt fairly logical, just so bland.
Iâm quite enjoying the McIntyre vs Lashley rivalry. Two beasts that should have a belter of a hoss fight. Iâm not into the MVP/Lana drama though.Â
I am really liking the Iiconics return. Her match on this show made me think Billie Kay wouldâve been great for the divas era.
The highlight of the night for me was Asuka singing her entrance music as she walked away from her interview. Edge & Christian playing wrestler themes on the kazoo at the birthday party is one of my fondest memories of wrestling, and Asuka singing her theme tickled me the same way.

In a video call team meeting the other day, my manager was complaining that when she went to Stratford last weekend, there were loads of people around just having a day out - which is exactly what she was doing.
Iâve got friends who have been visiting relatives, having BBQs, etc for ages. I know one girl who ended a long-term relationship during lockdown, and sheâs had loads of people at hers since then off dating/social sites, because she isnât used to/doesnât like her own company. Ultimately, Iâve spoken to a lot of people who just donât want to be seen as breaking lockdown. Itâs very similar to people who donât drink drive because they donât want to get stopped rather than because they might kill someone. And definitely since VE Day, loads of people I know have basically decided the danger is over and theyâve just been waiting for some green light to get back to normal.
But then, Iâve been staying in just because the lockdown has meant I donât have to go out. If I had more energy, or lived closer to my pals, I donât know if Iâd have been such a goodboi.

I wanted to turn off after the first segment. Great, letâs do what we did with Hawk and bring their real life troubles in as a story line.Â
Hawk is an odd example to use there, when there are way more recent examples - the most obvious being Jeff Hardy himself. At Survivor Series the one year when he was replaced by Edge in a triple threat, they hinted that heâd passed out on a staircase somewhere. His feud with CM Punk when he left in 2009 was about him being a junkie, and Samoa Joe was using it as taunt material against Jeff last year. Jeff being a fuck-up has been part of his character more or less since he came back to WWE in 2006.

Codyâs promo was far from his best, but even if the rest of it had been the same, did he really need to throw in the âI wonât be welcome in Connecticutâ line?
To be fair, it had been four whole days since heâd shared the ring with a WWE Hall of Famer. He was probably worried weâd forget heâs obsessed with WWE. And a line in a promo is a lot cheaper than building HHH-style sets and props, and does exactly the same job.

Heâs certainly gonna suffer without quality material like âhow much fish could Bobby Fish fry?â

Nah, Corny enjoys JRâs barely-concealed distaste for much of AEWâs content. Itâs affirming for him, like a laugh track on an old sitcom. And it seems a safe bet that itâll continue.
Itâll be one of the wrestlers heâs a fan of - I reckon thereâs a good chance itâll be the Revival, the more they work with the Young Bucks. At some point, Cody or MJF will do something with Orange Cassidy that upsets Cornette, but itâll probably be a one off. Bucks vs FTR is a long term feud, so itâll give new stuff for him to cry about every week.

Undertaker is interviewed on Pete Rosentwat's show today. I'm just sitting here thinking, it's alright to break character mate, but dont take the piss. He's never shut his gob for months. He's like the new Honky Tonk Man.
I saw a clip on YouTube yesterday where a couple of lads were interviewing him about whether he likes memes of himself.

Anyone give The First Team a look last night?
It's certainly no Inbetweeners, but if my crush on Tamla Kari can get me through The Musketeers, I'm sure it'll get me through a show involving football.
I just watched a bit of it there now. If I hadn't been told, there's no way I'd have guessed the writers of The Inbetweeners were behind this shite.

Yeah, she hit the headlines a couple of years ago:-
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/world-famous-porn-star-found-18973209
I'm assuming the crowdfunding didn't hit if she's still there.
That stuff from August was the most recent thing I've seen that involved her directly. I did look at the crowdfunding page - it was way below target, and there were comments on there suggesting that it was a scam anyway.

If anyone wants to read the "script" (Miller's notes and storyboards) it's here:Â https://screenplayed.com/s/mad-max-fury-road-2015.pdfÂ

Not sure if this has been discussed in the thread already, but I only found out yesterday that Jenni Lee (one of my favourites a few years back) is ravaged by drugs and living in the tunnels under Las Vegas.

Yes! Thereâs a Chalk Line jacket of SummerSlam 1997, but the picture of Undertaker on it is from about 2016.

Depending on how long and how often Tysonâs around, thereâs a possibility that theyâll book him to force himself on Swaggerâs wife for a laugh. Unless they realise that sort of thing isnât on, but if they realise itâs inappropriate to do with an actual rapist, youâd think theyâd get that they shouldnât be doing it at all.

To be fair on @King Pitcos, I frequently make the same mistake with Moxley. He spent such a long time as 'Dean Ambrose' it's hard to think of him as anything but. He's effectively become 'Barry, from Eastenders'.
Barryâs hairline wasnât as bad though.Â

I donât see Tyson as an attitude era guy, because he wasnât. He had one program during the attitude era but the bloke is a boxer and mainstream star. He is probably more well known by the general public for his bit in The Hangover than his bit with Austin.
đđđđđ
They didnât recreate his scenes from The Hangover though, did they? The Inner Circle didnât bring him a tiger. They recreated his encounter with Austin from Raw 22 years ago, with the motivation for it being a scene he had with Jericho on Raw 10 years ago (which was itself a recreation of his KO of Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 22 years ago).
This is the funniest âDoesnât look like anything to meâ yet.

Given the lack of main event heel challengers and his own limitations, Ambrose was always going to struggle to be in the most important storyline on the show. But fucking hell, heâs playing second fiddle to the latest amdram performance of Attitude Era Theatre. The ill-fitting build to the Cody vs Dustin match (âIâm going to defeat the attitude eraâ) last year seemed like it was at least there to signify moving away from the Praise Holy Tank Segment nostalgia wankery of WWE, but now it seems like it was just there due to an incessant need to reference the attitude era.
Ten years since Jericho and Tyson had a forgettable Raw moment that played on the attitude era bit. This is third-hand nostalgia shit, it ainât the kind of thing AEW should be building main event angles on. That said, Y2J will probably make it funnier than anything the champion is doing.
Codyâs McDonalds belt, because itâs new and because of who holds it, is probably more prestigious and interesting than the world title at the moment.
Ambrose vs Cage is intriguing though, because (like Archer at the PPV) it seems very early to be beating Cage. I wouldnât want to see Cage as the champion though, for completely unfair reasons - he proper reminds me of the late-WCW (and mid-2000s WWE) useless meatheads. I know heâs way better than them, but I canât shake the notion every time I see him. I feel the same way about Karrion Kross in NXT as well, like heâs been picked up off the power plant production line and put in the âBit of a Gothâ packaging.

Iâd like to see MVP form a New Nation with Lashley, the Street Profits, Crews, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.

We canât. We very recently had a big lesson on how stupid it is to assume someoneâs a good or bad egg based on which wing their social media leans towards.
