  1. For about 2 years after a relationship I was in a good place as a single guy- able to talk to women with no issue, a bit of genuine interests and many interesting/fun experiences... Then came a relationship last year, which ended earlier this year. And now, nothing.

I look and sound the same but whatever borned my purple patch before has well and truly gone. Most of my mates are off the market (have become dads or are about to be dads) so simply heading out with the lads is less of an option.

I don't do well with Internet dating and I don't seem to notice if anyone looks at me. Plus, coming from an African family, I'm already expected to be married with kids (as I'm in my early 30's) so it's all fun and games. Haha

  2. When it rains, it pours for TNA...

Tonight, owing to some kind of technical difficulty, POP have been unable to broadcast Impact property (up to this point, over an hour after it was due to start). Whether it's an issue with POP (the current position) or something else remains to be seen.

But when the wrestling gods decide they've had enough, no rod will be spared. TNA are finding this out.

  3. Anyone know who does the finishes for the matches? The Asuka/Bayley & Balor/Joe finishes were both from Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart matches.

I've never thought about who puts the matches together or if the talents (especially the well-travelled ones) get say in how their matches are structured.

Also, I suppose it's a question for another time but, I don't think I read who is meant to be Head Writing NXT going forward? That's not to say it hasn't been said. Though NXT does seem to follow it's own 'basic' build to a match, less 'sports entertainment' formula (possibly too simplistic a description)

  4. I liken 2016 (so far) to the boy who cried wolf. In my very humble opinion, IMPACT has consistently been of a high quality, wrestling-wise, and mostly logical, storyline-wise but having been burned so many times in the past, very few watch or indeed want to know. For example, this thread only seems to pick up when some of the trainwreck elements of the company off-screen come into play.

And Sod's law will have it that if people (slowly) return to the product, as per the recommendation of people like Jason Powell and Mike Johnson, the booking team will panic and start throwing stuff against the wall again.

And I agree, I can see how the dark lighting can put people off. TNA, unlike other a lot of other brands, do it in such a way it simply looks like they can't afford the lighting or are trying to hide a poor crowd. Let's hope that is remedied somehow. One might argue that the best remedy is to get people to attend.

  5. Hunter's claim to fame is NXT. As for Raw he's done fuck all to improve it.

Shows how much I've paid attention. I still thought Stephanie ran creative.

Is this the point someone tells me he's been running it for a year and a half? Lol

  6. How do we solve the problem of the current product? It looks like WWE are going to misstep, sleepwalk and parity-book their way to Wrestlemania 32, which I believe could have a larger crowd capacity than most of the Wrestlemania's in recent years. There's only so long before it simply 'being WWE/Wrestlemania' isn't enough to get people excited or to attend.

Very few people are resonating with the wider audience, in my view. And those from a wrestling background don't appear to be in a position to help translate an idea or intention to the ring/interview area in a meaningful way. At least on RAW & Smackdown.

Hypothesis: If I could make a suggestion to those in the company it would be get Paul Heyman, Dutch and anyone else with wrestling experience who has steered a product with some success, who is part of the company, lock them in a room with Vince, Stephanie and Triple H and say " tell us who's winning the Rumble, show us your Wrestlemania card now and let us brainstorm ideas as to how to get there".

Is it possible to say that more in the roster would be over and positioned stronger going into Mania? That there would be more interest in the product rather than just tuning in because it's Wrestlemania?

  7. With just over 3 weeks to go and I still can't bring myself to be excited about this re-launch of Impact.

Maybe it's the old 'being burned' too many times by TNA in the past.

Apart from cosmetic changes to the show, I don't expect much to change, especially with what could be the same creative set-up, as said a page or so back. I'm expecting the stories/feuds to merely continue from where they left off on Spike TV (EC3/Spud, Wolves/Revolution, as hinted by the former, etc).

A chance taken to evaluate and refocus would be great going forward but I think things won't change at all. Pity.

  8. That wasn't Maxine. Maxine was Hispanic. The girl Knux was with looked like she pops in Tantastic a few times a week and whores it up especially for Big Mike when he pops round to fix the fruit machines. I dont get why they made her look so trashy? Knux made it sound like he was revisiting a childhood sweetheart last week. First thing I thought when I saw her was "she's shagging everyone who asks for a go on the dodgems".

I'm still into the Knux thing because I like him, but I have no idea what's going on. Its completely insane. Its like you switch Impact on and suddenly Mike Knox is the son of a Gypsy.

There you go, then. I am overdue for an eye test, anyway :D

I'm curious to see where all this goes. But then I remember who we're dealing with here and get slightly nervous. And if you believe what you read, then we'll be seeing more of our tanned friend (whoever she is).

  9.

^ So, any ideas where they're going with this Knux thing? I've been quite intrigued by it so far but then again I've always loved stuff like this where they introduce (or re-package, in this case) a guy/girl and give him/her an actual backstory. I wish more characters today had backstories right off the bat. That makes it so much easier to care about them. Anyway, I really have no idea where they're going with this but am very interested in finding out.

Also, I highly approve of the chick's ass in that 2nd video. Nice! Hope they bring her in as his valet. Keep the outfit too.

The woman in the second video looks a lot Maxine from the older version of NXT. She was blessed with curves as well, so I'm guessing it's her.

  10. Rather obscure question here. About themes songs from the UK scene in the late 90's.

Came across Spawn (I was shopping and bored) and I came across 'One Man Army' by the Prodigy which was Mark Sloan's entrance theme for the first year and half in the FWA.

Then I remembered that I had previously been trying to find out the name of the theme that Alex Shane and Guy Thuner/Leon Murphy used when they first arrived in the FWA. I never did find out.

Does anyone know what it was?

    Thanks
