  1. I don't see how that distinction really matters either way, unless Robb survives/resurrects and comes after Jaime in particular for revenge or something. Can someone explain why it's so important without spoiling anything that's not yet happened in the show? Is it purely to remind us that Jaime isn't that good an egg?

Its not important at all if I remember correctly, think people are just being a bit pedantic/liked the line for some reason. I think the line they used on the show works equally as well.
  2. Fucking hell.Probably didn't need to watch that after coming in from a night out, completely killed my buzz. One question, was Edmund in on it? Or was he just casually banging his bride oblivious to the carnage going on downstate?

If you actually want an answer to this, I'll put a yes/no answer in spoiler tags in case others don't want to know/its rhetorical.
  3. There were fuckloads of Frey men around, running about with crossbows and bloody swords, and she would be known to at least some of them I imagine. Of course she'd be slow. Also she was trying to hide from the Hound.

Totally agree, she seems to be the only Stark that exercises caution and it's served her well for the most part. She is the one character that I really want to see get some retribution in the end.
  4. Fucking fuck fuck holy fucking shit. Just watched it. Knew what was coming and it still destroyed me. It's one thing reading it but seeing it happen was just the most traumatic television experience ever.

This. I found the last 10 minutes hard to watch, even thought about turning the TV off.

Even at the end though, Robb stood around like a gormless twat and didn't seem to click on to what was about to go down. I love The Blackfish, Im glad he seems to have got away.

Fucking... Arya!!! Maisie Williams is a fab little actress, she is doing such a brilliant job.

  5. I tried watching a few episodes of The Mindy Project but thought it was complete drivel so gave up on it.

Parks & Rec is fast becoming my TV comedy highlight of the week, I noticed yesterday that there are only 2 episodes of this season left on BBC Four, does anyone know if they have plans to show series 3 and beyond?

  6. Yeah I was wondering why Sam didn't pick the blade back up.

I dont mind Sansa's character, and I think the actress that plays does a great job.

I'm just gutted that this season is nearly coming to an end and its gonna be another year :(

Is it confirmed that it will be next year before the next season starts?

  7. Hmm a hysterectomy is a massive surgery for a woman, it takes a long long time to recover so I don't think she will be beating anyone up for a while. I don't know if a hysterectomy alone would cure cervical cancer, its interesting that she said that was all she needed. I may have to look in to that... I wish her a speedy recovery anyway

  8. The tv show characters are all older than the books so it's not relevant. Robb is clearly supposed to be in his early 20's rather than 14 or whatever in the books (which I have always hated)

No he's not, it was stated on the show that he was born just as Robert's rebellion started, which makes him roughly the same age as Dany, who is meant to be 18 on the show, and I guess that would put Jon Snow at 17

As for Joffery, in the books he is a year older than Sansa, born after the rebellion when Cersi and Robert married, I think its about the same in the tv show, I'd put him at about 16.

Edit: just checked, Joff is 15 in the show.

  9. Rickon is meant to be 4 and Bran is supposed to be 8, Arya is meant to be 11. I think its fair to say most of them have been made a little older for tv. Dany was meant to be 14 when she married Drogo, the scene where they consumate their marriage would have caused a fair bit of controversy if the actress had indeed been 14/made to look like she's 14

  10. Slightly going off topic now, but I don't think women have to work if they have kids, its their choice, if they want to stay at home, that's fine. What I hate about the 'best job in the world, stay at home mummy' brigade is their attitude towards any women over the age of 25 who hasn't popped out a kid yet. You see, there obviously something wrong with us barren, ugly bitches who just don't understand a woman's role in life

  11. Thinking about it, I don't think I've seen Halle Berry in any of her other films so I guess I can't really comment. She has the acting ability and charisma of a large stinking turd in X-Men.

I do remember reading that Singer was strong armed in to casting her by the studio that bankrolled X-Men, he had originally offered the part to someone else
