  1. There are two areas GTA haven't gone back to

1: The abortion that was 'future set' GTA 2

    and more importantly

    2:

If you want an 'era' to the game, can you think of any better type of iconic era than 60s London?

    Mods Vs Rockers

    Kray Twin type gang lords

    Vehicles like Scooters/bikes/minis/e-types/db5s

A baby Kent Paul who's dad can be voiced by Phil Daniels (Imagine the voice talent that could be available!)

Movie links to Quadrophenia/Alfie/Withnail and I etc etc

    THE FUCKING SOUNDTRACK!!!

    It would be immense.

  2. And where might these misleading sources come from? I think over the past month or so we have established that police are often one of the main press sources

Don't get me wrong - I am not suggesting it was planted, I am suggesting that it is not beyond the realms of possibility that given previous form (Harry Stanley, Jean Charles de Menzes etc...) there could be shennanigans and simply taking any one account (whomever it comes from) at face value is naive

Pray tell, what was planted on either of the above?

  3. No - the police do not have the power to convict somebody or set sentence

and that is a good thing given that the catalyst for all of this started off with the line (at the very least heavily implied) "we had to shoot him, he opened fire first - look at this bullet lodged in the police radio"

then quickly became "ok, that was actually a police bullet, but he fired first"

has now become "well, fine - he didn't fire but he had a gun and we determined he was about to use it"

not all Police officers are corrupt, but more than a handful are & given how quickly their story is falling apart, would anyone REALLY fall off their chair if way down the line it turns out that the gun was planted (or even that it was pure luck for them that he did have one -however illegal- but was not brandishing it in any way)?

The police officers in question have never said he fired his weapon, that was rumour and conjecture built around the IPCC's investigation and misleading sources leaked to the press.

You play with guns, eventually you may get shot ... simples.

Suggesting it was planted on him is ridiculous also, his 'partner' admitted through slip that he carried a gun, one of his good friends came out saying he always kept his gun in his sock. Face facts, he was a scummy little cunt with a firearm in the public domain. Attempting to lay this on the officer that fired the two rounds, and to claim this is an illegal shooting is farcical.

  4. The Duggan family need to make sure someone is accounatble.

Someone needs to tell them they already have been made accountable, by waving a readied pistol in public.

All this 'loving father of four' bollocks needs to stop too, he was a scummy gun toting scrote, if a man carries a pistol on the streets of this country they are badduns simple as, show it in front of armed police officers and don't put it down as described and you may very well get shot.

The Sky headlines have not helped, I know you educated lot can see that just raising a weapon can get you slotted, but the thick cunts out there on the streets doing this shit will just use it as further excuses.

  5. Sky News fuelling flames with a Breaking News that Duggan didn't open fire ... brilliant ... dickheads!

Doesn't mean that the shooting was illegal, they need to shut the fuck up.

  6. Where did you read that? they are trained just that this week was when the training was to be re-done. Doubt they will need it with this crash course.

The woman on Sky News hairstyle makes her forehead look like Frankenstein's monster.

It was reported earlier that minimal levels of Officers are trained in Public Order, there are three levels of training too.

In this situation Level One is the ideal, looking more at the tactics involved IIRC

Level Two is one step down from that, with shit being thrown at you and petrol bombs etc

and Level Three (what I qualified to about 6 years ago and never got retrained) is the basics of shield work

Most Coppers out there are in normal uniform and holding a Baton, they're fucking brave as they have no defence and the MET are risking serious pay outs if any one of them were to get hurt out there.

  7. Oh great alot of the police arent trained for riot situations, it looks like its never going to end, how long before someone gets killed.

Probably already happened, they've just not been found yet.

See what happens when you cut budgets in policing?

    Understaffed

    Undertrained

    Underesourced

Of course the CSO's will be able to help out right?

Fully expecting to be possibly shipped to London tomorrow, truly wonder what MOD Main security is like at the mo

  8. They say they aint got the man power then send in the army to sort the fuckers out.

It sounds silly I know, but the army have absolutely no powers to deal with these cretins.

  9. The bystander on Sky News there just seemed to tie himself in knots to avoid going "it was the black kids!"

Socio-economic children was the final term he settled on.

  10. Are AEPs not a bit shit?

They'll put you on your arse, and you aim just above the bollocks normally when firing them ... and they drop in flight.

They would do a fine job disbanding a crowd, namely as they bounce like fuck too.

Go all N. Irealand and stick a 'D' Battery down the barrel for good measure too.

  11. No-one has the right to take life, especially not in the cause of justice.

Unless of course it's to save the life/lives of others, using force which is Proportionate, Legal, Accountable and Necessary, as well as being least intrusive to the rights of that individual.

Taking all that into account, then the right to take a life in the cause of justice is surely acceptable. ECHR says so afterall.

  12. He's po-lis? Based on how he does in the mafia games, it's a wonder they ever catch anyone...

    ZING!

I've never been a 'Cop' in the mafia games, I think I'd be ok at it.

But yes, I consider myself ZINGed

  13. West Mids Police apparently went in ready and have basically shut the city centre off to prevent any major damage, by all accounts they are just pushing the dickheads through as they go.

    Confirmed: Man shot in Croydon

  14. I don't think the modern British copper is up for a scrap in the same way that the coppers that dealt with the riots in the 1980s were.

I went to Uni and from a fairly middle class background, I'd love to suit up and stick these little thieving fuckers right now.

Everyone I know in the same vein feels the same, Facebook is living proof of that right now. A mate of mine has asked to come back off annual leave to get stuck in.

  15. Because it's fun for them. Over analyze it all you like but that's the answer.

It's not because it's fun, it's because they're reclaiming their taxes.
