  1. 1am is the main card:

The main card will air live on MTV2 and Epix HD on fight night, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. (1am GMT)

There is six prelim fights, which should put the prelims as starting at 11:15pm or shortly before.

  2. Apparently former WBO LH Champ Julio Cesar Gonzalez has been killed today by a drunk driver.

Where is that being reported? I haven't seen or heard anything on that?

Wayne McCullough tweeted saying it, and it has since been confirmed sadly (Link).

He was riding his motorbike home and got hit head on by a driver who was said to be drunk.

  3.

Christ, absolutely fucking mental both of them.

One of the most surreal things I've seen in boxing. Hard to tell where the original bottle came from because of the camera angle but seems like someone caught inbetween them drops it by accident - mind, Haye does throw a fucking camera tripod at him!

    Crazy!

  4. This is probably just a legacy-pissing exercise, but IF it's got the same director, it could be quite good.

Different director, which is why Matt Damon isn't in this one because he didn't want to do it without Paul Greengrass (who didn't want to make another one) directing.

Tony Gilroy (screenwriter of all four Bourne films) is directing this one.

  5. Eden Styles, who was the announcer on Superstars, has left WWE after asking for her release to focus on athletics.

She also confirmed that she is currently going out with Cody Rhodes.

Cody is a right playa isn't he? He'd been with Beth Phoenix & Layla previously - thats only the ones we know about aswell.

  6. I really want a level that rips off Commando where your daughter is being held on a remote island so you bust into a weapons store with a bulldozer, row over to the island and then "all fucking hell is going to break loose".

I now just want an actual Commando game now!

  7. Bellator have been bought by Viacom, a company worth billions.

It has also been confirmed that they will be moving to Spike TV in 2013 (due to the UFC's exclusivity clause that Spike can't air MMA for a year after they leave).

Massive news and really can't wait to see how Bellator progress with massive financial backing, can only mean good things for MMA.

  8. A pretty frank interview from Oscar De La Hoya, talks about contemplating suicide, drugs and cheating on his wife.:

Former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya said in a television interview that he had thought about suicide and has been going to rehab because he has become dependent on drugs and alcohol.

Oscar De La Hoya hasn't fought since being thoroughly beaten by Manny Pacquiao in 2008.

"Rock bottom was recently," De La Hoya said, according to an English-language transcript provided by Spanish-language network Univision. "Within a couple of years, just thinking if my life was even worth it. I don't have the strength, I don't have the courage to take my own life but I was thinking about it."

De La Hoya says he has been sober for three months after undergoing treatment and joining Alcoholics Anonymous.

He said he was unfaithful to his wife and that they were separated for a while.

"We are obviously not talking a Tiger Woods here, but I was unfaithful," De La Hoya said.

De La Hoya retired in 2009 after a 16-year career in which he won 10 world titles in six divisions and became boxing's most popular fighter.

De La Hoya was thoroughly beaten by Manny Pacquiao in his last fight. He won his last title in May 2006, beating Ricardo Mayorga in six rounds for the WBC 154-pound belt. He finished with a record of 39-6 and 30 knockouts.

Known as "The Golden Boy," De La Hoya transcended his sport, using his bilingual skills to generate crossover appeal among Latinos and whites.

He began boxing at age 5, following in the path of his grandfather and father. He won an Olympic gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Games, delivering on a promise to his late mother, Cecilia, who died of breast cancer two years earlier.

"There were drugs, my drug of choice was cocaine and alcohol, hmm. Cocaine was recent, the last two years, last 2
