Lay off him mate, it's obvious he's trying to sell his skill to perspective employers, he's showing his potential (similar to a CV) good on him too.
Nah, I just posted it because it's hilarious. From the 'Lister has a giant ego' evidence pile (courtesy of his website):Erm, what? You've cut and paste a post I made recapping my year. Which I posted in an off-topic thread that asked people to recap their year.If you're trying to use this as evidence of me trolling, it's a non sequiter. If you're trying to back up the original troll's allegation that I claim to be more knowledgable than everyone else and am better because of being in a documentary and writing for PowerSlam then, again, there's no logical connection. If you're instead simply shouting "You've got a big ego" as a debating point, then try reading what I actually posted. I've effectively written that at the age of 29, I'd never cold-approached a woman, was still ludicrously skinny, had never gone on holiday with a woman, and still slept in a single bed. That's not exactly the comments of somebody bringing the big 'I am', is it?
This is the online portfolio for freelance writer John Lister of Manchester, England. Combining NCTJ-approved journalism training with six years experience running the press office at Plain English Campaign, I am particularly skilled at writing on a variety of subjects in a clear and concise manner. I can explain complicated subjects in a simple but accurate way that is appropriate to the intended audience. As well as being a specialist in the subjects of clear communication and the professional wrestling industry, I am highly skilled in general writing including web content and ghostwriting.I am also heavily experienced in writing public relations material such as newsletters and press releases, and have given more than 500 radio and television interviews.
*cough* Meltzer *cough*Most recently I have prepared an article for the website of The Sun about premature wrestling deaths. This research has been quoted around the world including on numerous US television networks.
Professional wrestling is not a genuine sport, but it is a genuine industry. I am one of the most experienced and knowledgeable writers on that industry, with more than fifteen years' experience.

Doh, they still sneak in every now and then.
Upon reading this, I for some reason could only picture a lad with a mullet, wearing a Thundercats t-shirt and drinking a soda stream, almost imploding under the strain of not using a single exclamation mark.
It's deffo not me, 1st off it was only a week ago when I posted a spoiler (which I apologise for again, it was a genuine mistake, sorry) and 2ndly I actually quite like it here, hence me posting on here.It has to be Mab.. It's pretty much exactly what he wrote in the thread after people bitched him out for the spoiler.Either way though, my first thought was the same as Tiger's - what the fuck kind of magazine prints this shit?
After reading it again, I don't know who the administartors are so I don't think they are pompus (I didn't know who Neil was until I got my suspension, so you can't really say the PTB are that pompus)I am not dyslexic and I could read & write from an early age, I also have not posted anything about reading or writing on here.I also couldn't be arsed going to the effort of writing to a magazine, I don't read wrestling magazines either.Upon the recommendation of several friends, I decided to register with UKFF, a popular wrestling forum. At first, I was impressed by members' knowledge of pro wrestling history and backstage goings-on. But after a while, I noticed that some members, and particularly the administrators, had a pompous attitude towards new members, members with limited wrestling knowledge and, frequently, members who had opinions of their own.I felt the wrath of these people after I accidentally posted a topic without labelling it as a "spoiler". For committing this sin, I was insulted by other members and mocked for being dyslexic (I explained on the forum that I could neither read or write until I was 14).I would I recommend the UKFF to others? No. I found it to be full of bullying hypocrites, who slag off wrestling and those fans who genuinely love it.
That's my boy.He hasn't actually got the clip board in hand off the chain though so it doesn't give it away for definate, it's just a strong indication!

Well i meant to post the image because it was funny and i posted it in the 'funny wrestling pictures thread. then about 10 minutes later realised it showed the outcome of the match.
How do you accidentally post a picture?!Surely you've got to see the picture, acknowledge it recognises the result, copy it and then paste it.An accident is when you cook sausages in the nude and you accidentally catch a spatter of Bertolli's finest on the helmet, posting a picture when you shouldn't is just ignorance.I do admit that people are a bit too agressive when it comes to spoilers. I Accidently posted a picture of Big show vs Sabu which showed who won the ladder match and people went fucking apeshit.

O'Grady seems to be a fan of wrestling, especially the old W.O.S stuff, he mentions it quite often. He's also mentioned WWE once or twice I think, I also remember him having Rowdy Roddy Piper as a guest once. He seemed to know his stuff if I recall.Just had to sit through The Paul O'Grady show over dinner (thanks, mum) and in the 'ordinary members of the public doing extraordinary things' clip package, there was definately some wrestlers.Could someone enlighten me as to who these guys were, and what promotion it was 'through'?Ta much.

Haha that's really good, Regal is brilliant, what happened in his match with Hogan and how did it come about? I only remember it vaguely!
-
That is excellent, HBK was really good when he turned heel in 2005, even more so on the mic (he bumped to much in his match with Hogan IMO, but I'm not sure if this was his way of getting back at Hogan!). Not sure if this as already been posted, but this is his excellent promo in Montreal in 2005 after he'd turned heel......HBK Promo Raw 15th Aug 2005

I mean on screen!!!
are you SERIOUSLY asking that question???Thanks that was a good read, was Vince owner at this point or a commentator still?

Wasn't he pissed off that Jillian (I mean Lillian!) Garcia was the main ring announcer on Raw and he started making announcements that he was Vince's first employee. He then confronted Lillian and Trish came out and stuck up for Lillian. Didn't this then end in a evening gown match?I'm sure they're were plans for a similar heel turn last year, didn't a video come up with the Fink moaning about Lillian, when she was getting strectured out when she was knocked off the apron or something? Didn't he say something like she shouldn't be out there!

No only the one I think, as I mentioned it was to promote the XFL and seen as the way that turned out there wasn't anymore. The only thing that may have happened is when they had the origional ECW ONS they might have called it Extreme Smackdown but I can't recall this, I just remembering them doing it on an episode of HeAT!
-
Yeah this show was to celebrate the introduction of the XFL!Is it this one, Smackdown Xtreme, Feb 1st 2001:SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read
February 1, 2001: World Tag Team Champions, The Dudley Boyz, defeated The Hardy Boyz in a tables match...Women's Champion, Ivory, defeated Lita and Jacquline in a three-way match...The Acolytes defeated Edge and Christian...Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, defeated Tazz...The Big Show defeated Billy Gunn...The Undertaker and Kane defeated Rikishi Phatu and Haku in a first blood match...World Champion, Kurt Angle, defeated The Rock -
Oh sorry, apologies I thought he meant they showed a clip of them off the game, like when they showed Shelton becoming the SvsR champion at one point!

The Mr.America gimmick was actually quite funny, were was this gimmick supposed to lead before Vince & Hulk fell out (again!). Wasn't Mr America gonna face Big Show at Summerslam?

So they haven't had a match then!Oh hang on they Main evented Wrestlemania 2 years ago, oh no that was me playing Smackdown vs Raw 2006!
The only match that they had together while with the company was at a Video games awards show on Spike TV/TNN (I think)...it was some sort of video games show regardless...Just wondering if Jericho and Rey Mysterio Jr. have ever had a match in the WWE?Thanks.

The Harts Vs HBK and his Knights was Survivor Series 93! What was the full story on television over this? Hart was in a feud with Lawler, but they didn't announce that Lawler had been accused of rape on T.V did they? How did HBK get involved and the rest of the Harts?

It's actually a referee who handles Khali (it might be Marty Alliance but I'm not deffo) Dave Kapoor doesn't want to be on the road for house shows.
The reason why WWE agent Dave Kapoor (Runjin Singh) has been made The Great Khali's manager is because he can speak Punjab & Hindu and Khali doesn't know much English. Also, Kapoor is better at explaining finishes and match layouts to him.
Assume Khali has someone doing the same for him?He was indeed. He also served as Giant Gonzales' handler/helper/road buddy (in the same way Tim White did with Andre).

I didn't know Fonzie was a WWF referee, was he called Bill Alfonso then?

Raw on the roof looked so good. Did they actually do a proper show up their or was it just for the video? Some of those clips have been used after this, mainly in the DX Video's.
