Company sent into panic

We're still trying to open negotiations from Rampage Brown but at the minute he's refusing to talk.

It does of course raise some issues for the 30 man Destiny rumble. How can we have a number one contender for a championship we can't get our hands on?

Cruz hasn't been on the best run recently. His startling fall from grace since losing the NGW Championship has been a real talking point in the last year highlighted with his loss to former bodyguard Colossus when his former agent Richie West refereed the match in December. Following the match, his girlfriend Melanie Price walked away from him, leaving him with nothing but his water boy Kev Cash in Cruz Enterprises.

On Saturday 16th March, he will try to change his luck by taking on the massively popular Robbie X. The young superstar was unsuccessful with his tag partner Dean Allmark in the marquee tag team Ladder match at Eternal Glory and he will be looking to prove himself in single competition in only his second 1 on 1 outing in NGW.

Following our announcement that the Rumble Roulette match would return at this years Destiny, we can now exclusively reveal the first man to take up the gamble.

Former TNA star Mark Haskins comes into the roulette off the back of a big victory against Matt Myers, someone he'd been playing mind games with for the previous 6 months after Myers had scored an unlikely victory in their initial meeting.

Haskins will surely be filled with even more confidence now. Will the gamble backfire for Haskins and end up with the number 1 spot meaning he'll have to last the full rumble? Or will he instantly become favourite by securing number 30?

We are delighted to announce this amazing match for Destiny, now only 2 weeks away!

After facing off against each other in multiple tag team matches throughout 2012, El Ligero will take on Team GB's Sam Bailey. With Bailey being the one who actually pinned Ligero to take the NGW Tag Team titles from him last October, there is a lot of history between these two men.

To see these two men do battle in singles competition for the very first time in NGW, get your tickets from the link below now:

As per the news feed on Wrestle Talk TV tonight, Rampage Brown has been stripped of the title due to his recent actions. The Winner of the 30 man Royal Rumble will be crowned Champion.

I would personally like to see EL Ligero have a run with the title but we'll have to wait and see what March 16th brings, I cannot wait thats for sure.

Through a special news flash during a revealing interview with the legendary Hulk Hogan this past Sunday on the new series of the now weekly WrestleTalkTV, it was revealed that Rampage Brown is no longer recognised as the NGW Champion.

The issue arose originally before our final show of last year, Eternal Glory with the message sent via this video --

NGW champion Rampage Brown sends a massive message to NGW fans.

Company sent into panic

A few months followed trying to contact Rampage and open talks and him refusing to speak to us. We went through a period of time of looking at some legal things such as contracts, paperwork and took some advice. Basically we learned the contract wouldn't allow us to simply vacate the title and with the added complication that of course Rampage was still in possession of the belt itself, meant there wasn't a simple solution to be had.

We continued to try and make head way by coming to an agreement with Rampage Brown but to no avail. As we prepared for one of our biggest shows of the year, Destiny and our 30 man rumble that was so successful last year, we had no appearances lined up for our champion meaning the issue of how could we offer the opportunity for a number one contendership to a Championship we didn't have?

The NGW management board reached the end of their tether and found a loop hole that meant while we couldn't vacate the title, NGW would simply no longer recognise Rampage Brown as champion.

It is a very sad state of affairs that it has come to this as everyone involved with NGW was excited and pleased to have someone of Rampage's pedigree on the roster when he debuted in late 2010. But the NGW management board had to make the BUSINESS decision for the good of the company.

The good news in all of this is of course that the 30 man rumble at Destiny on Saturday March 16th just got even more important and exciting. The winner of this match will go one better than earning a shot at the NGW Championship...they will be the NEW champion.

With the news that Nathan Cruz & Sam Bailey plus the latest news that Matt Myers is entered, that means THREE former NGW champions will have the chance to all become two time champions. Also in the ring will be former number one contender and last years Destiny winner, Stixx who came so close to saving NGW and the fans from this whole debacle. Can he do it for a second year running and right what he sees as some wrongs?

Get yourself to Destiny on Saturday 16th March. Get your tickets quick though as they are currently flying out at a rapid rate! http://www.ngwuk.com/shop/event-tickets
