PBW_ROSS Posted December 3, 2012 Author Share Posted December 3, 2012 PBW were always going to finish 2012 with a bang and thats exactly what happened with two great shows this past weekend. Not only did we have an emotional farewell speech from Lionheart, 'Bad Boy' Liam Thomson beat BT Gunn in a stunning main event in Dumbarton to end Gunn's near 2 year long title run. In a show of pure class Gunn took the mic immediately after the match and declared Thomson the deserving winner and congradulated him on his victory. The fans stood in applause showing their appreciation for such a fine match by two of Scotland's best only for Thomson to cheap shot BT Gunn leaving the former champion lying. Â Â The very next night in Barrhead Thomson took to the ring and declared that the 'Era of Liam Thomson had begun' later that night though he enraged the fans in barrhead by using underhand tactics to beat James Scott meaning Thomson will now head into 2013 as the PBW Champion. Â Friday night also saw one of the greatest wrestlers ever to step foot in a PBW ring say an emotional farewell to the fans, PBW staff and PBW owner Ross Watson. Once again we would like to thank Lionheart for putting his heart and sole into his performances at PBW, he has been with us on our journey from virtually day one and we are sad to see him leave. We can only hope that perhaps one day he may return but for now its goodbye Lionheart. You will be missed. Â Again we would like to thank the fans who turned out over the weekend and once again supported us.
