King Jon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Excellent standard of match throughout which was a big plus for me as some previous events have lacked a little depth. Â Good to see Prince Devitt, And Wyld, Zach Sabre Jnr and Johnny Moss again. They are by far and away a cut above, particularly Mossy who surely must be in line for a run with the belt until a suitable babyface with the full package can be found. BT Gunn experiment must be drawing to a close on that evidence. Excellent wrestler but Moss just makes everyone look ordinary on every level. Â Taxi for the referee who botched two finishes and then proceeded to fall down the ring steps during the main event. Only downside as it killed the respective contests. Hopefully the injury isn't too bad, academy match was good too, although hurt by the ref. Â Really happy overall though, for the price of admission it was a treat. I only get to see shows every so often and there's two things that need tweaked that would raise the bar again which I notice consistently. Well done to Ross and the team for that effort though. Really good standard of wrestling.

King Jon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Bad Bones bt James Scott to retain the UEWA 'Heavyweight' Title  Prince Devitt bt Andy Wyld - Fair play to Wyld as he was stiffened a few times and kept on going. Really good back and forth here.  Stevie Xavier won the King of Cruisers 2011. Match of the night for me, everyone was brilliant, particuarly Hayes and Xavier. This was one of the matches where the ref properly cocked up. Sabre Jnr popped his shoulder early on and when it came down to him and Xavier as the last two, they called an early finish which the referee missed - he counted two and then refused to count three, same finish and for a second time the ref didn't count the three so it kind of spoiled it a bit when on the other side of the arena you could here Ross telling the ref to count the three 'NOW!' but overall the action was immense. A few ridiculous bumps. Xavier is a bit small for my liking but fair play he has amazing talent and took a fair bit of punishment from the get go.  Lionheart & Wolfgang bt Project Ego to retain the tag titles. This match passed me by, save for a nice sequence of super kicks but pretty standard which was fine as it opened the show and what followed thereafter was special.  TJ Rage and Scot Maverick went over JD Bravo and Jamie Feerick when for the second consecutive match the referee went AWOL with counting ther pinfall. Not sure even if the right team went over given what had happened in the KoC's match it ruined a really good effort by the academy guys. From where I was sitting it looked as though the ref counted 3 when he shouldn't have and as I say I think it was exacerbated by what had gone before. Feerick and Bravo didn't do it for me as a tag team but individually I think they'll be brilliant, some really impressive stuff again.  BT Gunn went over Johnny Moss. Moss got the first 'fall' when the ref counted out BT Gunn. BT Gunn was on the apron facing into the ring, Moss came over the top and power-bombed him onto the matt. Looked brutal, the crowd was worked a beauty though (I myself was sucked in to thinking he was actually dead). As I mentioned, Moss made BT look average, this nonsense of turning every 'someone vs Moss' into a scotland vs england thing is lame and between spots BT Gunn offered nothing other than starting a Scotland chant. Moss uttered a few words here and there selling his character and it really put him over. His agility (shoulder block over the top rope) and execution is still unrivalled on the roster. BT Gunn got a quick roll-up pin to even the scores and then the second and susbequent winning fall quickly thereafter again with the code-breaker. Moss should really be given an extended run with the belt until a babyface with a personality, physique and move-set can be found to rival Moss legitimately. If someone his size hits a jumping tombstone you don't kick out. In between the is-he-isn't he injured segment, Moss entertained the crowd, pulled the referee in and told him to count and regained control of the match as everything stopped dead after the powerbomb spot. That kind of experience is invaluable but it also makes it difficult to buy anyone else as a champion when he is that far ahead in terms of all round knowledge and ability.  Pleasantly surprised as I said earlier with the depth of the card - every match was 3.5 stars plus for me, good to see some fresh gimmicks and physiques too...it's raised the bar and that's a good thing.  **  Blaze, Rampage and Coffey beat Jester, Red Lightning and Colin Mackay. Also a pretty good match.
robbo9292 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks mate, glad to see that Xavier won the KOC
xear Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Lionheart and Wolfgang beat Project Ego (I think that match was missing from results above).
robbo9292 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'm sure it will be released on DVD, and yh that result was there.
xear Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I think I missed it cause results posted weren't in order the matches happened in.
SNRN10 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Wil it be available for DVD release? it should be Released somewhere between December 2011 - February 2012 [unnoficial]
PBW_ROSS Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Taken from pbwwrestling.com  On Saturday night PBW returned to the Magnum Centre for a fifth time as we presented Maximum Impact 2011 in front of just under 500 electric fans. What followed was one of the best live shows we have ever produced featuring the very best wrestling talent from the UK, Ireland and Germany.  Full results were as follows  Lionheart & Wolfgang bt Project Ego(Martin Kirby & Kris Travis) to retain the PBW tag team titles. Bad Bones bt James Scott to retain the UEWA Heavyweight title Chris Rampage, Davey Blaze & Joe Coffey bt 'Old Skool' Colin Mckay, Jack Jester & Red Lightning Prince Devitt bt 'Unstoppable' Andy Wild Stevie Xavier bt Zack Sabre Jr, El Ligero, Liam Thomson, 'The Lightning Kid' Mark Andrews & Joey Hayes to become King Of Crusiers 2011 TJ Rage & Scott Maverick with Charles Boddington bt JD Bravo & Jamie Feerick BT Gunn bt Johnny Moss 2 falls to 1 to retain the PBW championship.  The show started with a bang as the PBW tag team titles were on the line. The unpopular combination of Martin Kirby and Kris Travis known as Project Ego had arrived from England and had made it clear that they intended on taking the gold back down south. Wolfgang and Lionheart though had other ideas making their entrance through the masses of PBW fans this match was action packed from the start to the finish with the ever fantastic champions picking up the win after a combined swanton and frog splash on the challengers.  Only at Maximum Impact would the first and second matches be title matches and thats exactly what happened as the next match featured the feared German heavyweight Bad Bones who defended his UEWA heavyweight title against fan favourite James Scott. With both men having made their debuts in Japan over the summer this was allways going to be a hard hitting encounter and that it was. It was Bones on the night though who would prevail meaning Bones will now take on fellow WXW star Tommy End later this year as he defends the title at the Spanish Wrestling Alliance in Barcelona.  Up next was a grudge match that saw 3 of the most promising young stars in Scottish wrestling team up against the veteran combination of Red Lightning, 'Old Skool' Colin Mckay and Jack Jester. The tension for this one was electric as PBW fans are fully aware of Mckays underhand tactics in recent months towards Blaze & Rampage. As the match progressed into a full on 'fight' it had the fans on the edge of their seats with all the back and forth action until Blaze & Rampage delivered a double muscle buster on Mckay to secure the victory. If ever there was a sign that the younger stars in PBW were ready to step it up a level this was it and surely a tag team title match for Blaze & Rampage has to be something PBW management are looking at for a future show.  Our first half main event saw yet another young PBW star 'Unstoppable' Andy Wild take on one of the very best in the world today in the form of New Japan Pro Wrestling star Prince Devitt. A brilliant back and forth match with Wild more that holding his own against the super talented Devitt had the whole audience engrossed from the very start. A profile raising performance from Wild wasnt enough though to stop Devitt who beat Wild with a devastating DDT to finish the first half. After the match in a true show of class, Devitt congradulated Wild for his efforts as the crowd showed their appreciation.  The second half opened with the most anticipated match on the PBW calander as 6 of the best crusierweights in Europe today made their way to the ring to compete for the honour of becoming the PBW King Of Crusiers. As Liam Thomson, Mark Andrews, 2010 winner El Ligero, Stevie Xavier, Joey Hayes and Zack Sabre Jr stood in the ring waiting for the bell you could feel the excitement from the PBW fans. Just over 15 minutes later and after what many have already said was the best King Of Crusiers match ever young Stevie Xavier pinned British standout Zack Sabre Jr after a 450 splash to become King Of Crusiers 2011. There was so much happening in this match that you will need to watch the DVD at least 3 times. In a true show of courage and just how much he wanted to win the match Xavier continued to wrestle after suffering a serious shoulder injury after Sabre Jr moved out the way of a cork screw dive to the outside. To not only contine but to beat someone like Zack Sabre Jr, Stevie Xavier showed exactly why PBW management are so high on his abilities and we here at pbwwrestling.com cant wait to see what next year has in store of the new King Of Crusiers.  As we approached the the end of the event we had just one more match leading us into our Maximum Impact 2011 main event and it was to be none other than an SPWA showcase match. With PBW stars Andy Wild, Davey Blaze, Chris Rampage and Stevie Xavier all having trained at the Scottish Pro Wrestling Academy and becoming such a huge part of PBW and Scottish wrestling in general PBW management decided to have a showcase tag team match that would feature JD Bravo and Jamie Feerick vs Scott Maverick and TJ Rage with Charles Boddington. Rage and Feerick are by no means rookies although on this occasion were paired with partners who made their debuts in wrestling this year. An entertaining match which eventually went in favour of Rage and Maverick due to help from Charles Boddington who had made it clear all along that he didnt think TJ should be in such a 'rubbish match'. He may have got his team the win but the feedback from the fans has been great and we would once again like to congradulate Maverick and Bravo on their hard work earning a spot on our biggest show of the year.  It was now time for our main event as PBW champion BT Gunn would defend his title against the monster that is Johnny Moss in a 2 out of 3 falls match. The Scottish fans instantly got behind their hero as he and Moss went at it from the very start. A back and forth match until Moss would powerbomb Gunn from the ring apron to the outside leaving the champion in agony on the floor. The audience were in silence as PBW owner Ross Watson rushed to check on his champion as Moss ordered the referee to count to 10 at the same time. The look on Watson's face told the story that no one wanted to hear. As the referee reached 10 the first fall was awarded to Moss who then ordered the referee to start the count again. As the crowd watched on in silence and as the referee once again approached 10 it was a sudden burst of energy from Gunn that enabled him to jump back into the ring as the referee got to 9. Moss instantly got back on top of the injured Gunn showing even more aggression. Minutes later as Moss went for one of his trademark German suplexes Gunn managed to block and roll through pinning Moss to even things up. The match continued with both men leaving nothing behind. Gunn bringing kick after kick and Moss bringing an insane number of suplexes. As the fans in Irvine rallied behind their champion it eventually took a second codebreaker from Gunn to finally put Moss down for another 3 count. 3 hours after the show began BT Gunn had done what many thought was impossible and retained the PBW Championship against Johnny Moss in a truely worthy main event of such a grand show.  PBW would just like to take this opportunity to thank all our great fans and also all our talented wrestlers for making Maximum Impact 2011 our best Maximum Impact yet. Also a huge thankyou to our event sponsors the Lo-Gy Centre and The Harbourside Hotel for their continued support.  As allways Maximum Impact 2011 was filmed in HD by Strangworx for DVD and Blu Ray release and is expected to be ready sometime in December.
