Welsh Wrestling Spectacular in Cardiff - 17th May

Recommended Posts

For the first time this decade, the Superstars of Welsh Wrestling are set to bring their hard-hitting, high-flying, all-action show to the capital city of Wales - with an explosive card scheduled for Cardiff on Tuesday 17th May (7pm).

This one-night only spectacle at The Gate Arts Centre off City Road (Keppoch Street, Roath, CF24 3JW) will provide fun for all the family, as the top wrestlers from Wales and beyond collide in a series of spectacular and dramatic matches at The Gate's Grand Theatre.

Top of the bill is a colossal Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Welsh Heavyweight Championship - where the bout can be won in the ring, at ringside or anywhere else in the building!

Making his tenth defence of the title, Welsh Heavyweight Champion 'The Midlands Monster', Kade Callous (6'5'' and 280lbs) faces his biggest challenger, 'The Welsh Warrior', Stevie Starr (6'6'', 265lbs).

Also on the bill, a rare defence of the prestigious European Heavyweight Championship in the UK!

In a huge grudge match, European Heavyweight Champion, James Mason (6'1, 250lbs), will defend his title against bitter rival, Mean Tommy Dean (6'2, 270lbs).

In other action, three of the country's top wrestlers will battle in a Triple Threat Match - with all three men competing in the ring at once!

Finally, the night will feature a bone-crunching Battle Royal, with all your favourite Superstars of Welsh Wrestling fighting it out until one man is left standing! As seen on TV, eliminations occur when a wrestler is thrown over the top rope to the floor.

Among the Superstars of Welsh Wrestling set to compete on the undercard in Cardiff -

  • Larger-than-life, 350lb behemoth, Big Dog.
  • From Thor's Cloud, high-flying super-hero, Lightning Kid.
  • Mysterious and ruthless tough guy, The Masked Outlaw.
  • Flamboyant and colorful muscleman, Ravishing Rocco.
  • Intense and uncontrollable fighter, Wild Boar.
  • Hilarious international sensation, Tagori.

Plus more top stars from the wacky world of professional wrestling!

This show is suitable for all ages. Card subject to change.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the first bell at 7pm and the final bout ending between 9pm and 9.30pm.
