Absolutely gutted to hear this, such tragic news. My thoughts are with all his friends and family.

I did the camps and steam rallies wth Brian three years on the run. I learned a lot, and have a lot of really great memories from those times, with low ceilings, outdoor shows on slopes, Sheppey love triangles and watching Sid Cooper matches with him. He had a wicked prankster streak in him, and his wife could be just as bad. Poor old Squeaky.

 

And no matter who he was talking about, could describe absolutely everyone with the phrase,"Don't get me wrong, he was a smashing bloke, but a right cunt!"

Brian Manelli was the first promoter to pay me for a bout. He was a decent man, gave me some good advice.
