STV understands the 12 Polish officials who have now abandoned plans to take charge of Scottish football matches this weekend were originally told they were travelling as part of a referee exchange programme between the two nations.

Marcin Borski, Pawel Gil and Hubert Siejewicz, together with six assistants and three fourth officials, all decided to cancel their plans to referee three of 11 fixtures scheduled when they learned they were instead needed to cover an ongoing strike.

There is no suggestion the Scottish Football Association were responsible for telling the officials an incorrect version of events. At this stage, it is unclear why the 12 were led to believe they would be coming to the UK under a similar agreement to the one their country already has in place with Japan.

Gil, Borski and Siejewicz were down to cover a game each this weekend, with six games in the SPL, three in the Scottish Cup, one in the First Division and the ALBA Challenge Cup final to fulfil.

In a statement to STV on Friday morning, the Polish FA claimed that their referees were no longer being sent to Scotland because they were required for their own domestic fixtures.

However, a list of the appointments to eight Polish top flight fixtures this weekend shows that none of the three have been assigned games.

Phil said yesterday that he was working on a story that would make the Dallas email look insignificant.

Think that will probably be it. There have been rumours all week that someone is in possession of a series of match reports involving Celtic which had been altered.

Interesting times ahead.

InvertedSmiley, just heard from Phil Mac Giolla Bhain that this isn't the "gold dust" story as it's being referred to in certain circles. There was some hints that some details about it might emerge tomorrow, but Phil has been known to do freelance work for the News of the World in the past - so it might be published on Sunday.

Wanking hands at the ready, lads.

Alain Hamer of Luxembourg will apparently referee the Celtic vs Inverness game tomorrow and the Dundee United vs Rangers fixture on Sunday.

SPL match appointments

If the name sounds familiar it's because he is the ref that had the shocker in the Norway v Scotland game last year.

But...but...I thought all these foreign refs were wonderful and were going to show our refs up for the incompetants they truely are?!

This is literally brilliant. Listening to the Celtic fans getting their wee panties wet over some Irish freelance journalist. Just to put a spanner in the works, who says he isn't biased towards Celtic? Or is it only tims that are allowed to shout about conspiracies?

Also, look back at last night at you all dancing with joy at some bullshit report about Dallas being sacked, yet the man still has a job today. And rightly so.

I look forward to the final conspiracy unravelling. And at the end of it all seeing a life sized portrait of Walter Smith, David Murray, Tony Blair, President Clinton and other top leaders signing a secret document in 1998 that confirms that the poor people of Glasogw Celtic FC will be punished by The Establishment forever more.

The world is laughing at you. Hail Hail.
