Sherdog has him as 8-2, 4 KOs/4 Subs. Fought and lost at BAMMA 5. Hasn't fought since 2012 though.

he was also on Bellators Fightmaster recently. I believe he is still in contract with them.

And Seanz the capacity was 850. We had 700+ in there..

March 4th, 2014 - Europe's flagship Mixed Martial Arts promotion, BAMMA, is proud to announce that BAMMA 15 will take place at the Copper Box in London on 5th April. Located in London's Olympic Park in Hackney Wick, the iconic Copper Box Arena is a multi-sport venue which was famously used for the Summer Olympics in 2012. The fight card is to be announced shortly and tickets go on sale this week.

    BAMMA's Director, Ashley Bothwell said:

"It's exciting for BAMMA to be holding an event in the Olympic Park at the Copper Box, as it carries a huge sporting legacy. 5th April will see the coming together of months of preparation for the fighters as all their hard work and sacrifice boils down to a few explosive, intense minutes. It is fitting that these crucial minutes should share a home with so many elite and aspirational sporting memories."

  5. Here's a Access All Areas/Behind the scenes from BAMMA 14 by WHOATV

Oh and on a side note, I met Nick The Face on Saturday night. Looks nothing like I imagined him to. I passed on how much we all enjoy his work.

  6. Pretty much. However going into 2014 you will see us expanding across a European base (With fighters such as Barnaoui, Rany Saadeh, DuQuesnoy, Jason jones etc.) so it will be not just the UK guys although we are British MMA. Hence why we have the British title (Although this is going to change to European title)

We are heading for 6 shows next year so we will be expanding the fighter base in general. Also, the overseas fighters tend to cost a lot more and one thing BAMMA does well is watch money. Hence why sometimes there has been gaps in the past. As I have previously mentioned, other shows are based on tickets sales. We have the show bought and paid for (Mainly by TV money) before we even get to the arena so while we would like to bring some of these guys back, the cost factor is the main reason we don't.

  7. In answer to your questions, the reason we contest 3 over 5 rds is because a) TV time we have, b) it's a UFC thing not in the rules of MMA that fights have to be over 5 rds.

Schiavello was unavailable for the last two, we are working on getting him in on a permanent basis but it will happen.

Finally I drove RdS to the airport this morning, he was fine, broken nose and a sore head (He had a hangover) he said that the strangest thing was when he came to and saw the doctors event pass that said Daly Vs da Silva Birmingham UK and he didn't know how he got to the UK. But half an hour later he felt fine. But the SAFE MMA doctors kept a close eye on him all evening.

I have to say from where I was sitting cage side doing the social media I thought we had just killed someone on live TV twice (Betorangal & da Silva) it was scary, but fortunately no-one suffered a serious injury.

On a side note, Freakshows original entrance he was going to ride into the arena on a horse!!! But Health & safety kiaboshed that. We will (Hopefully) have the other fights uploaded on YouTube this week. Highlights of which included Ion Pascu delivering the most brutal liver kick to Max Nunes the like of which not seen since Bas Ruttens hey day. Nunes nearly puked in the ring. Andy Craven delivering a heel hook sub in less than a minute. Tom "Fire Kid" Duquesnoys debut and Leon "Rocky" Edwards demolition job. An absolutely amazing event which I am very proud to have been a part of.

  9. Yes, he fought on BAMMA 9:

I think that people are overlooking him because Kongo is a wider known name. I have Godbeer down for the upset tonight and on the form of previous UFC fighters in Bellator over the past couple of weeks, I'd say the odds are in his favour too.

  10. Trigg is actually really facinating to listen to. He also decided he wanted to hang with the crew rather than the 'bigwigs' at B13 which resulted in a hilarious night out. We got to Nandos at 9pm on the Firday night only to be told that There was a 45 minute wait and they were out of chicken. Franks face and resulting discussion with the host was a sight to see (We all (Trigg, Head of PR, Georgia Graham, Mike (Ring Announcer) Markham, another staffer and myself) at Wagammas. So I have a lot of time for Twinkle Toes, plus he knows his stuff too.

On another note Michael 'Venom' Page is out of his fight with Kenny Ento at Bellator and the fight has been scratched.

  11. oh and a question to Snake...

was there any backlash to Ken Shamrock's commentary last weekend? it really was shocking, it ruined what should have been a great night of fights (on TV anyway).

Sorry only just noticed this. Not really some people liked the commentary some like you didn't. The issue we had was The Voice wasn't available and so it was decided to go with Trigg & Shamrock, thus creating 2 play by play guys on commentary. The general feeling in the office was that it didn't work, so thats being looked at once more. Not quite sure how though yet. On a side note I was campaigning for The Voice and Dan Hardy on commentary and at worse Quadros and Goldberg.

    ++EDIT++

Wand all but 2 of the prelims are now online here's the BAMMA 13 playlist. If any of you aren't subscribed yet..

  12. This is the place for BAMMA then, yeah?

I watched the 5* version of this this morning. I can't speak for the rest of the show but the stuff we got on 5* I really enjoyed.

    ***BAMMA SPOILERS BELOW***

Max Nunes got well and truly derailed didn't he? Jason Jones is a scary looking fucker. I don't know if it was Jones' trash talk effecting Nunes or what but after a decent start he seemed to kind of freeze and Jones took over. Jones post-fight interview though - "Errrrrrr....Errrrrrr". Jesus.

Freakshow vs Newman was a cracking fight. Really enjoyed it. Freakshow looked good, won the striking but Newman came scarily close on a few of those submissions. I don't know how Freakshow escaped that triangle and armbar in the 2nd (I think?). Really good fight. Loved Freakshow's entrance as well with the sword eating and the midget and stuff.

Barnaoui vs Warburton was a wild one rounder. Stoppage was way late though. Yeah a lot of the shots didn't look full power but Warburton was already hurt and he wasn't defending for ages. He was done and the ref was just arsing about watching. Even Ken 'that was an early stoppage' Shamrock was saying he didn't know why the ref was letting it continue. Aside from that though, really fun action packed round.

Wallhead vs Ellis was a bad decision. All I can think is like Trigg said at the end, the judges scored Ellis the first round for having Wallhead's back for a while. Bollocks though. In a round where Wallhead dropped him twice (didn't he?), cut him and did all the damage, Ellis taking his back and just riding out the clock shouldn't have tricked the judges. That's some goofy scoring. Good fight though.

*Ken Shamrock needs to calm the fuck down. What was up with him last night? I can't stand Trigg so for Shamrock to annoy me more than him is some feat, but he did. And I usually haven't minded Ken's commentating in the past. He was a right negative twat last night though. That bit at the end of the show where they ran through their final thoughts on the fights was painful. Ken basically put every result down to the loser being stupid rather than the winner doing well. It does nothing for BAMMA who have to promote these guys in the future, when you have Ken Shamrock the most recognizable face on the show, telling everyone that the winners last night only won because their opponents didn't do "what he would have done." The icing on the cake was his outburst on the Barnaoui-Warburton fight where he was pink faced and outraged that Warburton didn't exploit Barnaoui's ground game, which he said was non-existent - "He (Barnaoui) doesn't even know how to choke, look, it's right there and he doesn't know how to do it." Meanwhile Warburton is in the twilight zone after eating about a thousand punches. Did he miss that? He was calling for Warburton to bust out some BJJ when Warburton was done, out on his feet. He was fucking toast and Shamrock was criticizing him for not pulling a Sakuraba-like from the jaws of death submission. He made the winner and the loser look like idiots.

To end on a more positive note, that dark haired BAMMA ring girl is lovely.

Agree 100%, he was fucking painful to listen too.

Agree on the bottom bit as well

I presume you mean Georgia? And it's BAMMA Belle, not ring girl.. Oh and I should be starting to get the prelims on our You Tube channel in the next few days.

  13. I had a horrible thought. The show is being presented by Zoe Ball. What if it's a major swereve, and the new Doctor is actually Zoe Ball?

I said the same the other day on Twitter. With the big reveal on TV tonight whomever it is has to have name value, so I woke up this morning and thought maybe Robert Carlyle is back in the frame? He was being banded about last time and then nothing this time? Maybe.

  14. Here's the TNA Roster as it stands now via PWTorch

I notice King Mo & Rampage aren't on this list though.

  15. Bellator is on ch.200 on Freview & 356 on Sky I believe. The best comment I've seen thus far at least we will be well versed in the top 100 tracks of the 80s while we wait. Why didnt they use MTV? Viacom own that too & surely that gets better viewing figures?
