  1. Just call me The Mountie, pouring water over Bret and electrocuting the whiny prick
  2. Et tu @wandshogun09?! Be gone with that Maxx Payne slander! Sacrilege on here I know but Bret Hart is a wet blanket and a complete flop in WCW so I will dismiss his bitter ramblings (Chico heel turn complete). I remain a Battlebowl 1993 truther.
  3. A beautiful slice of WCW shite that they devoted a whole PPV to in 1993. Some of the teams are clearly a work, others are either completely random or the product of a twisted mind. I’ve defended this show in the past and I stand by it because it’s the kind of thing that only WCW could come up with. The teams include: The super team of Vader and Cactus Jack against Charlie Norris (worst possible Tatanka) and Kane (the greatest version of Kane aka Stevie Ray) Brian Knobbs and Johnny B Badd against Erik Watts and Paul Roma. Watts actually lasted into 1994, well over a year after daddy got fired. Shockmaster and Paula Orndorff vs the great Ricky Steamboat and Lord Steven Regal Dustin Rhodes having to put in a proper shift as he teams with King Kong against The Equalizer and Awesome Kong. The Collosal Kongs Collide!! Sting and Jerry Sags against Ron Simmons and twin mullet gimp Keith Cole Match of the night as Ric Flair and Stunning Steve Austin face 2 Cold Scorpio and Maxx Payne BATTLE OF THE GODWINNS as Rick Rude and Shanghai Pierce (Henry) go against Marcus Bagwell and Ted Slazenger (Phinneas) And finally Road Warrior Hawk teams with The Hustler Rip Rogers against our own Davey Boy and Kole (Booker T rather than the other Cole twin) Wonderful stuff
  4. Double post wanker (albeit over 12 hours apart) but we are blessed to live in this age where someone will create a 3 hour compilation of the incredible dungeon of doom and give it to us for free.
  5. TNG at 5pm on Sky One every weekday was essential viewing, I gave up watching Neighbours and Home and Away for that man. RIP Captain.
  6. Absolute beauty of a match here, Vader at the height of his powers and Cactus Jack is finally back after losing his memory and I have memories from Worldwide of our Mick having to feud with Yoshi Kwan to regain his pouch or something. But here he is finally back in his element.
  7. He definitely looks like a guy called Joey Aiello from New Joisey who knows a guy that knows a guy who could call in a few favours and get him a gig like that. Nothing but respect for a guy who is still cashing in on a 2 hour temp gig from 34 year ago.
  8. This guy may be an ultimate short lived “my guest at this time” podium interviewer circa late 1992, so obscure that I have no memory of him at all. His name was Joe Bevins and he apparently was there filling in while our Sean Mooney was on honeymoon. Does anyone remember him??
  9. A slightly different one. The obese tag team Double Trouble in the WWF had multiple very short runs between 1991 and 1994, however none of their matches made tv. The reason being that their team name in some indie promotions in the late 80s was The Undertakers, when the WWF debuted the slightly more famous Undertaker they managed to get a settlement which guaranteed them WWF matches but they likely had a crap lawyer. So to adhere to the settlement terms the WWF would give them matches on house shows or dark matches at tapings every now and then. One of them ended up going to ECW as Big Val Puccio after their WWF “run” ended.
  10. Unlike the headhunters, identical twin tag teams were generally shite like the Heil Harris twins, the Cole twins, the Batten twins, the Power twins…not great precedents which may have caused hesitancy. But I agree with the point and the Headhunter A vs Headhunter B glass death match is a long time favourite.
  11. The immovable object meets the unstoppable force!
  12. The Headhunters were great and I remember seeing great pictures of them in the magazines and on the seedy WING tapes you would get from tape traders. The problem that was evident when they came to the WWF was that they were actually a lot shorter than you expected and they were doomed when the expectation of fat guys were the likes of Yoko, Earthquake, Vader etc. Unfortunately they were just too small.
  13. Since she was mentioned earlier in a different context, Aja Kong came in for the survivor series 95 match and then had a match on Raw where she busted up Chapparita Asari and you can hear Vince in real time on commentary essentially firing her. I believe the plan was to set her up as the next feud with Alundra Blayze but it all fell apart. Strange time in retrospect in the lead up to the match where JR was doing segments on the action zone showing clips from AJW and introducing the Japanese women to a WWF audience.
  14. He did briefly form the ultimate big boy dream team with Vader in Japan
  15. Mentioned Typhoons very brief run in the summer of 94 but should also note that Earthquakes run in 94 was very short, especially since he was the senior ranking member of The Natural Disasters and a first ballot UKFF hall of famer. The grizzled veteran (then aged 30, younger than Liv Morgan is currently) showed up around January, squashed Adam Bomb at Wrestlemania, had a sumo match with Yoko and…I think that was it? Don’t think he even made it as far as the King of the Ring qualifiers. 30 years old
  16. Koko B Ware returned to the WWF around March 1994, had matches against Double J, Bastion Booger, IRS and others but was gone for good by the summer. Thankfully we were gifted with the match we had all been waiting for as the legendary team went from friends to enemies
  17. Great match, Vader and Boss Man always had great chemistry. A few days ago they also put up this fantastic match with Vader vs Steamboat from Saturday Night in a “human cage match” which is a more intriguing way of saying lumberjack match. Big Van Vader in 93-94 WCW was so great.
  18. Nothing but love for Tom Green and if you want to know why send him a private message and for a small fee you will have access to a lifetimes worth of WCW without a Nitro or Thunder in sight.
  19. Few more that come to mind Dustin Rhodes in his first run in late 1990, he was gone after Rumble 91 Shane Douglas who has become the most influential man in wrestling in 2026 because who doesn’t love a SHOOT PROMO despite being an amalgam of both Hale and Pace. His first run in 90/91 was nothing and can’t have been more than a few months, and Dean Douglas didn’t last much longer in 1995. Now that his infamous documentary is coming out, it reminded me of Man Mountain Rock who didn’t spend much time there in 1995 but thankfully did record our new generation heroes fucked up on pills. And the same would apply to others from around that era like Rad Radford, Mantaur and the legendary Tekno Team 2000.
  20. Xanta Claus showed up in December 95 and was gone before the darts and Worlds Strongest Man had concluded. After the less than successful Shockmaster run in 94-94, our Fred was back in the WWF as Typhoon in the summer of 1994 and couldn’t have lasted more than a month. Had matches against Yoko and Diesel and was gone again. Not sure if it counts because they were always sort of around even if they weren’t on tv but in 1996 The Bushwhackers returned for a last run with slightly different gear and accompanied by a kangaroo mascot (our man Lombardi again) that predictably didn’t last long.
  21. How about our Steve Lombardi in different baseball gimmicks in consecutive years. As MVP in 1993 he was in the IC title battle royal, did he have any other matches? And the following year as Abe Knuckleball Schwartz, maybe a couple of matches on Superstars and Challenge and that was it.
  22. Or Mr Perfect in 1994, came back at Wrestlemania to ref the Luger/Yoko match, rightly disqualified Lex for putting his hands on him and then…disappeared (I think?) I just recall it never being mentioned again and then Lex got stuck in the did he or didn’t he sell out to Million dollar man story.
  23. Very likely, but curious on who would have supplied them with this clip specifically that’s just from an unaired demo. They asked for a clip and someone decided to send them Jimmy Jams job interview tape. And that no one said anything after hearing it.
  24. Surely one of the most impactful short lived announcers, so short lived he never made tv is former Freebird and the Gorgeous one Jimmy “Jam” Garvin. His line from a try out saying “I said are you ready for the Survivor Series” became immortalized at the start of the Wrestlemania song. Would love to know the story behind it. How of all the things they could have used they took a line from an untelevized try out and how did they even get their hands on it, and why they used that line for a song about Wrestlemania??
  25. Some announcers who didn’t have an illustrious WWF career during the New Generation A rocky start to the post Mean Gene era in 1993 with the out of his depth Jumping Joe Fowler The face of The Action Zone, 1994s hottest new show (for about 3 weeks), the highly excitable Charlie Minn Incompetent 1995 merchandise shill Barry Didinsky
