  1. An amazing actor

    in reference to Nathan Cruz.

Nathan actually has acting credentials. He achieved qualifications in the subject at Hull College, a place where I am currently doing an acting degree myself. Several of my mates have worked with Nathan on numerous plays and performances in the past and all, aside from one who Nathan apparently mercilessly ripped the piss out of, thought he was a talented guy.

I think wrestlers could really benefit from taking acting classes or having an acting background as it will really help in the performance aspect of the business.

Glad to see Nathan there. He is doing Hull very proud!

  2. Have never seen Joseph Connors or JD Knight but both certainly look the part, which is at least half the battle won in my opinion.

Only seen Noam Dar once but was very impressed and think he has a great future.

Unless Robbie X can sell like Spud used to in his babyface role, he definitely needs a mask at this early stage of his career (and life).

Agree that Lion Kid is a good gimmick which better suits the very youthful looking Wade Fitzgerald from an aesthetic point of view.

He has always been a strong in-ring competitor though and hopefully this new(ish) gimmick gives him a chance to shine.

Really enjoying seeing pictures and getting info on talents I have either never seen/heard of or do not know much about.

    Maria Youshoot Interview preview

The best part of that is in the middle of a game of "Real or Fake?" (in which she places every diva in one of those columns) she pauses with Jillian Hall as if to say, "Are you serious?". :D

Yeah, loved her reaction to that. Pause, look at camera, "really!?". Great stuff.

  4. Sable and Chyna get into an argument on a talk show over steroids and plastic surgery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcih1NRCtnk

    That's fantastic.

Pretty much everyone who was around in '99 confirm Sable didn't get on with the other Divas, and Chyna always thought she was in a different league to the other Divas, so putting them together in that era was genius!

Gotta agree, although I found myself agreeing more with Sable than Chyna on the comments about the surgery and the steroids, to be honest.

  5. LOL. He was having none of that mouth to mouth was he?

A follow up to the infamous coffin angle - Undertaker as the super indestructible mega-heel.

Around this time was when I REALLY lost my mind on wrestling and Undertaker was one of the reasons why.

You just could not stop this guy!!

  6. What was the reason that Jody Fleisch retired in 2003? He was a fairly big name at the time. Why did he pack it in?

He suffered a very serious injury to his hand/arm. Given that his arm was already pretty mangled from the shooting star fuck-up on the Portsmouth TV, he decided he'd had enough. A while out of the game, a good rest and recovery period and a great offer from the FWA for Uprising 3 made him change his mind.

I heard a rumour that his girlfriend at the time said "It's me or the wrestling" and he quit because of her.

Most likely bullshit but just what I heard.

  7. Can some eagled-eyed UKFFer (might need HD) confirm or deny if Cody Rhodes has a stud in his nose? I'm guessing it's a spot of some kind, but it looks kind of shiny.

Its a nose piercing. He mentioned it in the WWE magazine a while back, when discussing tattoos amonst other delightfully exciting things, to which Dibiase mocked him for.

I never know why people choose to get nose studs.

A] they look like a spot and B] a girl at my school had one and every time she sneezed it shot across the room and almost blinded somebody!

  8. Is there such thing as Deathmatch wrestling in the uk and do female uk wrestlers do them at all?

Have Death Matches happened in the UK? Very infrequently, but yes.

Only "Death Match show" I am aware of, however, was by Germany's WXW at the end of 96 at the Hippodrome in Colchester which involved Zack Sabre Jr, Ian Rotten, Mickie Knuckles, Steve Douglas, Bad Bones and others.

As for female death match workers in the UK? I'm pretty sure there are none.

'96 at it had Zack on the show? What was he, 9? :duh:

    I assumed he meant 06...

    Yes I did.

  10. Two Q's

Where is Darren Burridge and Has Colt Cabana ever wrestled for AllStar?

I imagine he'd be perfect for them

Burridge has been sidelined for the past 18 months or so with a knee injury.

He is due to return at the PW101 show in Edlington later this month.

Yes, Cabana wrestled several times for All Star during his time here in 2004.

  11. Were the two white rappers with the nation of domination, wrestlers?

Yes. One of them was Jamie Dundee, son of Bill Dundee from Memphis/WCW.

Cheers mate, i had no idea pg-13 were in the nation, probably because i havent seen a tremendous amount of old ecw!

Did they ever wrestle in the wwf whilst in the nation?

Think they might have done some matches on Shotgun in early 97. Other than that I can only remember their unofficial involvement in the 6 man at WM 13

I'm not sure what shows they were primarily on, but they were on quite a bit of WWF television.

In fact I'm sure one of their matches carries a bit of notoriety, as they were pulverised by the LOD. As in really destroyed!

Yes, aside from two matches on Raw in 1995, this was the only other match PG13 wrestled in WWE.

Sadly, JC Ice's notorious backstage antics and some politicking by their USWA boss at the time, Jerry Lawler, got them fired from WWE in 1997 and the match v LOD was their swan-song.

Wolfie D did later compete in some matches for WWF's weekend shows as "Slash".
