  1. I enjoyed the episode and thought Capaldi is pretty much spot on. Such potential for the show with him as the lead. I also, seemingly in the minority, avoided any spoilers beforehand so it was all a nice surprise for me. Loved the almost steampunk asthetic. Good start to the new series.

  2. I got my tickets ready to go and am ridiculously excited. Just a note if anyone is going to the cinema and it says 7:00 start time, nothing actually starts until 7:44 according to cineworld's twitter.

  3. Y: The Last Man is fantastic, although a fair few people don't like the ending. Well worth sticking with though. The last issue from The Black Mirror story was the last Detective Comics issue before the New 52 restart, so it doesn't really follow on as such.

I still read Walking Dead, more out of habit at the moment, All Out War wasn't much to shout about. Negan's hilariously bad dialogue is part of the appeal of him to me though.

  4. Yeah, it's literally any song they've ever put out in a list and you can tick 17 boxes. The problem is most of these shows are big festival headline slots so unfortunately for the more hardcore fan it's going to to be 99% what they play all the time anyway becuase that's what the more casual audience wants to hear. I doubt most festival going folk who see Metallica know songs like Frayed Ends of Sanity or Trapped under Ice exist, let alone would choose them over Enter Sandman or Master of Puppets. You can hear a studio demo of Lords of Summer on YouTube, I like it a lot.

  5. Im to worried about picking books up incase i read the back of one that spoils the current lot.

The most recent books have massive spoilers in the blurbs for where the show is at right now. Don't see one in a super market at random and just have a look at the back. Good first episode, really looking forward to this season. Not surprised they've already greenlit seasons 5 and 6, it's crazy how big it's become.

  6. Any mid or post credits stuff? Spoiler tags please boss.

Yes there are, one mid credits and one post. Won't say anymore, but they have leaked online so details are easy to find.

So I saw Captain America 2 last night. Awesome, really awesome.

Good to hear. I got tickets to the regional premiere next week, really excited for it.

You won't regret it. Might be one of my favourite Marvel movies thus far, and quite different in tone, feeling more like a political thriller, or a espionage adventure than a typical action film at times. Also has some fairly big ramerpercussions for the Marvel Universe going forward too.

Just back from the regional preview screening and absolutely loved it. I'd pretty much echo everything written here, the genre and tone of the movie is pretty far removed from standard superhero fare and it pays massive dividends. As a massive Marvel nerd , I get excited at so much that gets in these movies now that I never thought or expected to see in a mainstream film. The way Kevin Feige have built the Marvel universe on film just continues to get better. I don't want to give anything away so it just gets a massive double thumbs up from me and I highly recommend you give it a go. Can't wait to see it again at the IMAX next week.

  7. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong it is a real fantastic experience to play. The good way out does the bad, and even the bad isn't bad, it's just odd. I got mine in the bundle deal with the console anyway, so I'm not complaining about value, it's just those little bits that are standard in pretty much every online shooter these days that you'd expect in a focused multiplayer game like this that just aren't there for now. But to actually play, it's awesome. It even manages to be fun to play if you totally suck at it.

  8. If you're in any way a fan of South Park, you MUST play Stick of Truth. It's full to bursting of in-gags and nods to the show, a great script and a solid RPG mechanic. Just wonderful.

Agreed. Finished it this morning and it's fantastic. The day I got it, I didn't stop playing for 10 straight hours, which is something I don't think I've ever done with a game before.

I have a little girl, so that prevents me from playing it when she's around but I do plan to finish it by next weekend. So so so good. Found myself grinning from ear to ear for most of the game.

I finished it the the other day and it is fantastic. If you're not a South Park fan it's probably awful but if you are a fan it's a real treat.

I picked up an Xbox One and Titanfall yesterday. Titanfall is ridiculously fun to play, very cool. Maps are really great too. Though somewhat disappointingly, it seems really limited. Only 6 match types, no single player, lacking the customisation depth that most FPS online shooters now boast, no local or private multiplayer. You can't even rename your custom load outs. Obviously they can add more with updates, but I'd disappointed I they'd charge for it. Obviously map packs they will but it just seems like half a game for full price at the moment, even as good as it is.
