Sport is about business and legacy, and this is a strong move for both. Warriors are going to be damn near unstoppable.

As much as I agree, Sports is also about competition and this Warriors super-team really does kinda put a stop to that point at least in the latter stages of the season.

As for Westbrook, someone rightfully pointed out on RealGM with a trade for him he could potentially just walk next year right? You'd have to likely give-up a lot for him to move. Is it worth losing valuable long-term assets potentially for a 1 year boost?

If it was a team he wanted to go to though...?

  2. As others have said, the fact that he's joined a team that OKC should have beaten last season is what sucks. I mean, if Durant had gone back to OKC then I'd have put them right there to win the title after the other moves they've made in the last week. This is just a cheap route to a title. The Warriors just turned full blown heel and I can't wait to watch them lose.

Also, do we think Westbrook now gets traded? Or demands a trade?

  3. Nice article on double clutch btw about the Knicks mate! Believe it was you?

A lot of money for Rondo, seriously hope that deal includes something for the 2nd year being non-guranteed.

It was, yeah. Just wanted to throw something together.

Both years are guaranteed for Rondo btw. Crazy.

Jamal Crawford back to the Clippers, 3 years 42M.

  4. Sorry I don't know where you live, but you know he's playing a few dates next week?

Yeah man. I'm in Glasgow so not near me, sadly. Thanks though!

Still one of my fav Oddisee tracks:

This is a pretty great interview with him too. How he goes about making music is pretty cool!

  5. Does the fact that Dwight is going to ATL mean they're moving on from Al Horford?

    More signings...

    - Kent Bazemore staying in Atlanta for four-years, $70 million.

    - Noah to the Knicks done - four years, $72 million

    - The New Orleans Pelicans have signed E'Twaun Moore for four years, $34 million

    - Jared Dudley is headed back to Phoenix on a three-year, $30 million deal

    - Evan Fournier going back to Orlando. 5 years $85 mil.

    - Jeff Green to Orlando, one year $15 mil

    - Luol Deng to the Lakers, 4 years $72M

Apparantly Rondo has met with the Bulls too and has even been photographed in Chicago with a Bulls-branded iPad...

Also, the latest on Wade (from Yahoo NBA)

Miami’s first offer to him was $10 million a year, which is half of what he made last year and angered Wade. (Note, the Heat are still in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes and this offer could be tied to that.) Wade told his people to start asking around and saying he wants at least $20 million a year and four teams are interested: The Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, and Milwaukee Bucks. Remember, Wade grew up in Chicago and played his college ball at Marquette not far from Milwaukee. Of those teams, Dallas and Chicago make the most sense on paper, but if Miami comes back to the table with a better offer expect a deal to get done.
  6. Dwight Howard has reached an agreement on a three-year deal worth $70.5M with the Atlanta Hawks, per The Vertical with Woj.

    Wow!

Mike Conley has re-upped with the Grizzlies.

D-Wade talking to the Bucks and Knicks now. Good lord.

  7. The Milwaukee Bucks and Matthew Dellavedova have agreed upon on a four-year, $38 million contract.

He's a restricted FA, but LeBron has already tweeted a congrats to him, so it doesn't look like the Cavs will be matching the offer.

  8. More news!

Even Turner inks 4 year, $75M deal with the Blazers

Even Fournier gets 5 year, $85M deal from the Magic

On that Parsons contract. That's a bad one for Memphis I think. How much of the year will he spend in a suit?

  9. Apparently Whiteside has said that he'll take less money than the agreed-upon deal he got this morning IF Durant decides to sign there. I still don't see it happening, but it's interesting to say the least.

  10. Do we think Bosh will be back? I'm guessing they are waiting for further medical opinions? It's all been strangely quiet and it's odd since he's tying up so much of their cap at the moment.

Regarding the Lakers...I think it's telling that they are not big players anymore...at the moment, anyway. I don't think it's an attractive destination anymore. It's going to be a process for them. They'll be better this year, so hopefully they can make some good moves next off-season.

  11.

Hope the C's stay away from Dwight unless it's a 1 year deal and we're not getting Horford/Durant.

I kinda hope they do sign him, purely to stick it to Bill Simmons after he ripped the Knicks this week! :D

Shouldn't be bitter about Bill preaching the truth Art!

Watching Sports Centre for the past few hours on and off, I really love this KD deal, it's so intriguing. To a point there's a few teams each with there own pros and cons for him to sign that really could potentially throw a spanner.

I'm bitter because he spoke the truth :D

How are you watching Sports Centre? You in the US?

  12. Hope the C's stay away from Dwight unless it's a 1 year deal and we're not getting Horford/Durant.

I kinda hope they do sign him, purely to stick it to Bill Simmons after he ripped the Knicks this week!  :D

  13. Jeremy Lin signs with the Nets, 3 years $36 million. Terrible team...I would not want to play for them right now. Probably the bleakest outlook of any team in the league right now. Good to see him get paid though, he was good last season in Charlotte. It's a good deal for the Nets too.

  14. Yeah Whiteside seemed to have a few options available to.

Is that Knicks team good enough to take you guys to the playoffs realistically? Even if all four of those rarely play together, I'm struggling to see what your plans are. They're certainly not gonna win you a championship and it isn't building towards the future.. Then again that's pretty much what you just summed up!

Yeah, I don't know what their vision is. If they sign Gordon to a one year deal then maybe it's ok, but I dunno. I worry that they're not going to focus on the development of Porzingis enough. I guess we shall see...
