  1. Interesting. Another ticket issue is presales. In some cases the presale tickets haven't been that good for seats and in some cases they have been good seats. It would be good to know what blocks were available and also how many tickets were made available in presales to make a decision is this my best chance at good seats or leave it to the general on sale.

  2. Was having a discussion with a friend in regards to ticket selling for WWE and TNA. We were saying it would be good if you knew what blocks of seats the venue were allocated and what Ticketmaster had and what gigs and tours had allocated ahead of the on sale so you could make an informed decision to choose where to buy your tickets so you could actually choose where you sit rather than just get a "best available" online. Would like to know how this information is not made available to the public?

  3. What does a biker gang want with a wrestling company that's on TV?

The gang is made up of wrestlers..

Exactly. That's why I don't like the Aces and Eights storyline. As its wrestlers in a biker gang in a tv storyline it just feels like another wrestling stable. Basically my point is a gang should feel scary intimidating and they are not. A real gang would be coming in knocking fuck out of people who work for Universal studios smashing up the place attacking fans but we know that if that happened police would be called and real arrests would be made.

  4. Just a thought about the whole Aces and Eights. I want to know what does a biker gang want with a wrestling company that's on TV? Has this actually been explained? If they are a gang should things not feel a bit rougher and not too polished and produced for television? The gang members should be intimidating to fans and the venue security in the impact zone and not made to feel like wrestling characters in a storyline on a wrestling TV show to add realism. The camera is too polished of them coming in from a rear exit with a nice red carpet. I know they have access to TNA that they won at BFG but i don't think they should have this at all. I feel the camera should be right in the crowd and that's the shot we get when they make their entrance from random points in the crowd. Keep things edgy and not feel so television show produced.

  5. Scottish comedian and main star of hit BBC Scotland show Burnistoun Robert Florence has announced on his Facebook that in June 2013 both him and fellow comedian Greg Hemphill will have a mega event called Kelvin Brawl at The Kelvin Hall in Glasgow. This is off the back of the successful sell out event Oran War at Oran Mor in Glasgow which saw the event sell 350 in 72 hours.

Both Robert and Greg want to have Scottish wrestling showcased in a big way and get it the mainstream coverage it deserves. An event in the 2500 seat world famous Kelvin Hall is one way of making that dream a reality.

  6. Arent TNA PPVs 4 hours in this country with the adverts they add in?

Yep hence Sky +ing it means fast forwarding the adverts so the event can be done in just under 3 hours. There was the option of doing this on Tuesday a day before the Challenge TV airing but would fall into legal wranglings over downloading the event on Monday and burning to DVD which the venue owner does not want to go down that route.

  7. I have been informed of someone (not me honest!) has put a proposal to Challenge TV to have a look at the scheduling for 2013 to see if there was the possibility of working out an agreement with TNA to get the PPV's on just a 48 hour delay on Tuesday and have the PPV air at 8pm instead of the normal 10pm Wednesday.

The intention of this would be to create a TNA fan club where people could meet up and watch the PPV's in a venue have a beer and have like minded TNA discussion with other TNA fans. The club would have exclusive competitions on the night of the fan club nights such as a giveaway of TNA merchandise and UK tour tickets. If the club became a success where a sizeable amount of people were there TNA could have as a surprise TNA talent show up to the club and pose for candid pictures with fans.

Honestly I don't see the point of this. Would they really change the whole way of them doing things just so a few fans can hang around together?

Well apparently a venue in Glasgow has voiced an interest in having a once a month TNA fan get together the day after the Challenge TV airing and Sky + the event to have it on on Thursdays at 8pm with a just before 11pm finish. The venue would do a wrestling quiz with drinks as prizes.

  9. Sounds like the ROH fans are assholes. It's like what makes them so high and mighty that they pretty much spit the dummy when they see something they don't like and act in such a way throwing bottles? It's a dangerous precedent to set that you let the fans dictate what happens on a show. What happened to wrestling fans turning up to shows and just seeing what they see without having to be so elitist that if you dont get what you want you throw a hissy fit and throw bottles and act a tit?

  10. I don't get why the WWE are going to bring out a Paul Heyam T-Shirt. From a Kayfabe standpoint Paul Heyman has been in legal proceedings suing WWE so why would WWE want to have a merchandise item made for someone who is suing them to allow that person to make money? It does not make sense. Or have we got to stage that it doesn't matter what happens within the WWE Universe that we have to just accept everyone is a character these days with no proper realism or effort to protect Kayfabe?

  11. Taken from : http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/261677-rep...g-at-indy-shows

According to PWInsider.com, TNA is now strictly enforcing a policy which does not allow talent to appear at indy events that will later be released on DVD. As a result, many indy promotions are no longer booking TNA talents for their events.

A most recent case of this concerned Chavo Guerrero, who announced that he was pulling out of an NSPW event because the promotion intended to later release the show on DVD.

NSPW responded to Guerrero pulling out of the show by issuing the following statement:

Due to TNA deciding that their talent cant appear on indy feds' dvd, we hav no choice but to cancel Chavo Guerrero's appearance on Oct. 6th. Mr. Guerrero's claim that we decided last minute to tape and sell dvds is incorrect has we have done dvds of all of our shows. It is just not possible to cover the cost without dvds of the event. Never in the past has this been an issue with any guests. NSPW finds the situation and the decision made by TNA to prevent talent from appearing on dvds to be unfortunate. NSPW doesn't hold anything against Mr Guerrero and wishes him nothing but the best with TNA Wrestling. A suitable replacement for our Main Event will be announced tonight!

In recent times in the UK will this affect companies like PWE as they have had AJ Styles, Mickie James and Magnus on their events? Will these events still be allowed to be sold on DVD as it was filmed and edited and released before the policy change has come into effect? Will this affect UK companies from bringing over TNA talent in the future as some promoters may rely on the future DVD sales as a means of affording the talent in the first place?

  12. I've got a bit of a roasting a few mins ago elsewhere for this but honestly I can feel for Cena I know what he is going through. We are having our family affected by cancer at the same time in our lives. I can't help but feel really cynical about the WWE office though wanting to use the backstory of Cena and his family being affected with cancer to make sure that not a single fan boos John Cena tonight in Boston that's all. I just really hope they don't go down that route. Fair enough if Cena wants to talk about it on the PPV and WWE allow it but for it to be used to get someone to be cheered I really hope it does not happen not from John Cena the man but from WWE creative.

  13. Fair play if John himself is doing it for awareness but I still feel the corporate WWE will still use it as a vehicle to make all the fans who chant Cena Sucks to leave it alone for one night to make sure in creatives mind he gets the full 100% baby face reaction WWE want for Cena in his hometown.

  14. Really good thread. Only thing I can think about why Rule One has discontinued his in depth look at the belts is that the information may lead to someone trying to sell a belt as an original but a thread like this may expose it as being a copy of the original and therefore screw someone out of making more money in selling a belt? In doing so Rule One loses his connections and info about belts in the future?
