  1. Tea just tastes like a warm puddle so what does it matter?

I used to feel the same way but I've not drank a standard tetley tea for three months. It's been Twinings Darjeeling for me. Had Assam tea foy the first time last week and it's an amazing strong brew.

  2. It's strange this. I've not really been that bothered about WWE for a while and i do feel i should oblige myself to watch the rumble live as it kind of officially marks the start on the road to Wrestlemania. However i just can't be bothered watching and it's making me feel even less bothered about booking the Monday morning off from work to go out and watch Wrestlemania in Walkabout.

  3. Take it I have people looking at my Facebook page as the sub post title has mentions of Darjeeling tea and I speak about Darjeeling tea in quite a tedious fashion on my page.

It is the champagne of tea by the way!

You've already ruined beer. Don't your dare ruin tea for everyone as well

Well it does come from the Bengal region of India. I've been told that it's the best tea as its grown at high altitude it gives off a unique light taste which makes it the best. I love Darjeeling. I also like Assam tea too!

  4. Tonights Genesis show:

The picture is taken from the end where there are actually people there, but its amazing watching. The arena is so fucking dark. They backed most of the arena out. The crowd are really loud, but there's no fucker there.

Obligatory post picture of the fans filing in the venue and passing it off as the actual live crowd when show is actually in progress. Twat.

  5. I am going to be looking into making my own beer based on above reccomendations to check out the shop in Partick to purchase the equipement and ingredients. I plan to make a an american style pale ale. I'm thinking on calling it Flenders American Pale Ale after the Flenders farm next to my house.

As i face an invevitable ban per the forum awards i shall probably have to report how it goes later on in the year.

  6. Regarding the price of old wrestling figures, anyone have any idea how much the WCW Galoobs cost? Must have been pretty cheap considering everyone had that Sting & Luger 2-Pack.

TNA's lack of a proper, widely available, toyline is something thats puzzled me for ages. As people here are always saying, TNA is pretty good at being a tv show, it's hard to imagine any other tv show with so many kids watching that would pass up on doing one of then most obvious tie ins (I know TNA figures do exist, but if I were 6 I wouldn't) especially when they have/had Jeff Hardy, Sting and to a lesser degree Manik who all wear getup that would probably have sold the toys to me without ever seeing them wrestle. Jeff goes through that many different facepaint/costume changes and colours he's a repaint, one in every series dream come true

Perhaps someone advised them selling figures wouldn't be good for business as TNA is what you would say is a teen to adult demographic whereas WWE is PG and figures are bought more by children to open and play with rather than adults who collect figures and don't take them out the box.

  7. About that much beer yes.

The other addition to the tasting was Fyne Ales did a market research survey and everyone who done the survey got a bottle each of their Sanda Blonde and Sanda Black IPA.

  8. The list of beers I had was as follows:

    1. Mikkeller Drink'in in the snow (Denmark) 0.3%

    2. Beavertown Gamma Ray APA (England) 5.4%

    3. Tiny Rebel Belgian Urban IPA (Wales) 5.5%

    4. Elixir Get It India (Scotland) 6.3%

    5. Emelisse Dubbel (Netherlands) 7.5%

    6. To Ol Fuck Art This Is Religon (Denmark) 8%

    7. Flying Dog K-9 Winter Ale (USA) 7.4%

    8. Barbar Bok (Belgium) 8.5%

    9. Bush de No

  9. The beer tasting event I attended was amazing. Really informative and got to taste some rather funky beers. Waiting on an email back from the venue to get a full list of all the beers I sampled.

They have another beer tasting on Friday 7th of March and half the tickets have been bought already. I'm getting a ticket for it.

  10. Me and the old boy brewed up 21L of a Timothy Taylor Landlord extract last night. It's been years since I had a pint of it so I don't remember how it tastes but my Dad likes it and he wanted to see how it's done. Now for the hardest part. Waiting.

I'm thinking on getting into Homebrew. What would I need to make my own beer? And where is best to source the equipment needed?

  11. Just scrolling through some photos of someone who added me on Facebook today and she has pictures on there of her dying Nan on a drip in hospital. What goes through people's minds? Fucking hell.

This is the crux of my point of the proud parent brigade. With people having a phone with a camera and a link to being online it's now habitual for people to wish to chronicle absolute everything of their lives online for people to see down to the most minute of detail.

I might have you as a friend on Facebook but I don't have it in me no matter how much of a nice person you are to me or how good mates we are to care about absolute everything you do in your life.

It pisses me off this kind of stuff especially the example of the above poster. There is stuff that should really be kept private within the family and this is one of them. When my gran was terminal with cancer the last thing I'd want to do is be forcing pictures of my gran in hospital on a drip on Facebook looking for people to be sorry for me and pity me and my poor gran.

  12. Ha Baz! For me the last post I made here comes from speaking to people who are pro photographers. If a photographer is doing a shoot they will take hundreds of photos but only pick the best ones for public display as being a pro photographer you only want your best work to be seen. The problem is with camera phones is people are just snap happy to photo everything they do and upload it online instead of taking the time to have a few quality shots.

If and when I decide to have a family of my own for me its quality over quantity so if I want to share photos of special family moments online I'd want to take a good few shots then post about a handful of the best ones.

The other Facebook rant again it's about uploading photos it's the people who post about 200 photos of them on a night out and it just makes me think are these people actually enjoying themselves being out or are they more bothered about what people on Facebook will think about them that they need to show the world they are out having a good time?

  13. Got a number of first time parents over the Christmas holidays posting an obscene amount of photos of their newborn s first Christmas. I'm not hating for the fact they are proud parents and I understand people post photos of their kids on Facebook to share with overseas family members but I found it a bit over the top that one of my proud parent friends posted 300 photos of their Christmas day up. I think 50 photos max would have sufficed.

  14. I'm going to a beer tasting night this Friday coming. I will get to sample 10 beers from bottles and get an education in craft beer so hopefully I wont be getting beer wrong anymore.

If the organisers allow it I will post photos and tasting notes.

I have also found that there is a beer club on the last Friday of each month at a pub called The Old Stag Inn which is in the Pollokshaws area of Glasgow. They showcase 4 bottles and 2 draught taps each month. Dearest price for a drink is

  15. Was reading that Virgin Trains has an exclusive ale on board it's trains called Tilting Ale. It's a 4.1% light hoppy ale. I fancy having a go of it on the train down to TNA at the end of the month. Has anyone else tried it? It's made for them by Redwillow I haven't tried any of their stuff. Any recommendations for them?
