It became a catch 22, they were a dump so they were where anyone who had been kicked out elsewhere ended up mid term, then the place gets treated like shit so they are less likely to spend money on it. That said I heard some great stories. This one lad was subletting after his visa run out, so hid in the room while staff were around 8 - 8 and went out at night. Apparently he'd even been using a quality street tin as a makeshift toilet, I mean who would do that! 

Edit: some landlords were doing it regularly too, finding where was a hot uni, buying cheap property and rinsing it when demand for beds was high. Then as soon as well set up places started turning up they would dump it or let the bank take it and repeat elsewhere with another shell set up. 

As i said above alot of the older owners openly said to me "fuck em they are only students" if you tried to counter it "they will only wreck it anyway"  In canterbury however they started to build some really nice accommodation which opened the eyes of the renters at the shit holes they where being shown.

Ive had a few interesting comments before hence my opening few lines. 

The raising of rent to levels people cant pay is just the worst. Even if your interest rate has been pushed up recently mine is now costing me around £120 a month more thats the way it is. Record low rates have made landlords expect a certain return and when they dont get it they attempt to pass it onto the tenants. My biggest fear is it not being let thats 100% loss on my investment. If i get a good bunch of people in and they want it for a 2nd term no way am i demanding more money. 

I would say that when i brought it the people i talked to where "fuck em they are students" like it was expected for the house to look and be maintained like shit.  However i soon worked out that with sometimes yearly turn rounds if you put a bit of effort into the house it will let sooner. 

They introduce the rated C or no rent EPC and there will be 1000s of landlords having to spend major money trying to do basic stuff they should have done ages ago  

OK lets get this over with. 

Some of you know i am a landlord of a student let so i already know im in for the hate so crack on.  

Anyone that is going to jack a rent as high as bacons is trying to do then try to evict them and threaten them is a scum bag i can only guess they are awful people in general. 

In the years ive had it i have only had an issue once due to 3 months none payment. Further investigation showed the lad broke his leg and was unable to work to cover the cost until his student loan came in, sure enough once he was able he paid it back over the 2 year lease.  Shit in life happens. 

I fail to understand letting your investment fall into disrepair. On average one months rent will cover the repairs in a year as long as you keep ontop of it. Major boiler failures aside.

I brought Jurassic world evo 2 against my better judgement. 

Having played the first one i thought i could move past the "every path power line, fence must be straight".........I was wrong to the point i have restarted levels to make sure.

So im booked in late September. 

Pre judge over ruling the mask mandate i had a very interesting time trying to work out how the airport would work with my disabled son unable to wear a mask.

BA where fine and would give him an pass.

However MCO had no idea what would happen when we landed. They couldnt tell me if they would even allow him off the plane. Worse still if they did they might not allow him back in the airport to get home. I bounced emails to everyone and no one is going to answer it.

I got a month or so before i have to pay the balance so any whiff of mandates will be another cancel. Sad thing is now hes near 6 foot the long haul travel logistics become near impossible so times running out to get him back. 

For me its Big show. 

Im only guessing but i would expect him to command  a fair amount of money he had maybe a few weeks worth of hype then nothing. He is on a multi year deal isnt he?

I came unstuck while on my best mates stag, we where at paintballing having a decent time when the end of the session came around we where all gathered in.

The guys running it asked if we wanted to do the "stag run" being best man i agreed to right away. Then then announced the best man does it to. So it turns out that the bestman and stag must run the length of the paintball arena while the other shoot them. 

I set off as fast as possible thinking my mate would be the number one target, i round a corner to see 3 of my mates no more than 6 foot away. At the start we had been warned to not shot if less than 15 foot from someone........Every one of those cunts opened up like that scene from platoon. 

I made it out removed my top to see i was covered in round purple bruises some of which were weeping blood. I totally lost my shit and when on a massive tirade calling them all the names under the sun. Needless to say it soured the day and the resulting evening as i refused to let it go only becoming more irate the more drunk i got.

In the end i decided its best to head back to the hotel rather than carry on acting like a dick. 

I’ve had to turn up the difficulty on the new zero dawn. I’m not to far into it but I was just wrecking everything I came into contact with to the point upgrading weapons seemed like cheating. I should add I’m also the guy that had to quit playing doom as my old age reaction times where to shit. 

So I trust drake younger will be joining this soon?

I remember it was posted about here a while ago. It’s now a stable part of my life and allows that buttery goodness to fully soak my crumpets.
