They've not bought a single player in yet, have they? Newcastle want Maddison, they need a decent keeper, Lookman has gone back to his parent club, others are eyeing up Tielemans and Fofana, Vardy isn't getting younger, Soyuncu isn't as good as everyone thought and Soumare was a disappointment. This is going to be a very poor season for them.

Vardy has admitted (to someone I know) that he's pretty much done. It's taking him 3-4 days to recover from a game.

    Leicester are fucked this season.

  2. It's like Michael Scott telling the office how he quit his job.

Michael Scott: I had no idea when I got into that car to go to New York that I was going to be quitting. I got on the ramp, and I was like, "Two hours, two hours to go. Feelin' good. Crank some tunes. Should have peed before I left."
Kelly: Michael, get to the good part.
Michael Scott: So, I get up to the building. Revolving door broken. So I have to take the normal door.
    Kelly: Oh, my God.
Oscar: At least he's in the building.
Michael Scott: No. No, I was so nervous, it was the wrong building. I had walked into the wrong building.

  3. It's likely I'm getting the clubs wrong, but the scenario of being co-owned by and playing for 2 clubs is something I've always remembered. Most likely remembered it incorrectly though.

Edit: Adriano was owned by both Inter and Palma. I think he played half a season for each or something like that. Not exactly what I was saying, but at least I know I'm not going crazy.

  4. Just chatting to a mate about odd things in football, and one thing that has jumped into my head (which very well might be complete nonsense) was a player in Serie A back in the 90's who was owned by 2 clubs in the league and shared game time between them.

Any ideas on this one lads? I have a feeling that the 2 clubs were Juventus and Fiorentina, but cannot recall who the player was.

Like I said, I'm probably making this up. But help me out if not.

A friend of mine was banned from Twitter for calling Esther McVey a cunt. McVey is his local MP (Tatton - generally a rich part of Cheshire). The only time I recall anyone other than a Tory MP being elected there was when Martin Bell was elected as an Independent after Neil Hamilton took cash for questions in Parliament.

I had my twitter account suspended at the weekend for hateful conduct. My tweet wasn't so much calling Andrea Jenkyns a cunt (I actually said she wasn't a cunt because cunts are great), but I likened her to athletes foot.

Apparently this violated the following rules:

You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease. We also do not allow accounts whose primary purpose is inciting harm towards others on the basis of these categories.

I'm baffled because I definitely didn't break any of those rules. Interestingly though, my new twitter account is called 'Fck the Tories' with the handle @torycnts. This appears to be acceptable.

  6. Is it a simple task to swap out the main board with a pi? I'm fairly OK with technical stuff, but if it comes to wiring and soldering then it might be beyond me.

I've actually tried a 1up machine and didn't find it too small tbh. The one I'm looking at has an extra base it sits on, so it raises it up a couple of extra feet.

It's in the old Primark building IIRC, since that moved to where the Pavillions used to be.

Having spent the last 2 months going back and forth to the store, I can confirm that this is correct.

The Game esports is used for gaming tournaments too. No idea how well they do or how often they're used. No one was using it on opening day, and staff were approaching anyone who entered the area to push it to them.
