"Word is that besides special appearances on RAW and at live events, "Road Dogg" BG James and Billy Gunn as The New Age Outlaws will not be a regular team on WWE TV. James will continue to work as an agent while Gunn is likely headed to developmental to work with the new talents there." F4Wonline.com
Â
That's not very good. I was thinking they may get another mini run.
Â
That's what I was hoping for - but realistically - they would get themselves more over in a couple of weeks than any other team on the roster which I doubt they want.
Â
Are you say WWE dont want guys getting over?
-
You missed a good "Oh you didnt know..." joke somewhere there mate. I would tune in to watch the Outlaws again cos they have charisma, something massively lacking in today's WWE in my opinion.
-
When was the last time Cena was portrayed as a rapper? It must be about 6 years ago.
-
Anyone reckon RVD could take him? I would back Vince myself.
-
Basically you want 2006 back.
-
If you go back to 1987 in the kayfabe era the best match is the one the crowd reacts to the best. Surely that is the main event.
-
The 2001 hardcore rumble is the one Kane eliminated about 11 IIRC. In 1999 he eliminated himself by stepping over the top rope while either in or feuding with The Corporation I thinkHaven't seen it in a while but is 99 when Kane throws loads of body's out?

I love it when Punk gets to have his picture taken with his heroes, he's such a mark

That Hade Vansen bollocks has really brightened up my day

nah, Travis made Travis look like a bellend there

Was reading the Wiki entry on Andre the Giant. Apparantly because he was so big when he was a kid he couldn't fit on the school bus so Samuel Beckett used to drive him to school. Random.
Â
That bloke was always going back in time to help folk out, a true gent!

I have always thought the Batista push was always meant to be for Orton, but the trigger was pulled to early, and I've always thought they pulled the trigger early at SummerSlam as a two finger salute to Brock by making Orton a younger champion. Though looking back I doubt they'd risk booking and business plans just to take a little jab at him.
Â
I reckon the Bastista thing was a bit of both, they sensed the reactions early on, decided to run with it and came up with a brilliant series of angles to make it happen. The slow burn face turn for Big Dave is WWE at their creative best over the past ten years imo. Timing was perfect- had they done it too little or too late then I'd wager Batista may have not gone on to become as big as he did. I wasn't much of a fan at the time, but I'd love to see him back now I re- watch him.
Â
But the above is purely my interpretation, perhaps someone here knows the true story here?
Â
I would agree entirely with the first paragraph, and pretty much the rest of it too, but mainly the young champ bit. I always thought it was just to take Brock's record from him while they could as someone that promising, that young come round so infrequently. Orton arguably looked like he could be the next major star back then.
-
According to various reports at the time, Dogg was a top merchandise seller, only second to the likes of Rock/Austin, IIRC.
Â
On the subject of shoot interviews, whilst the first one is great fun, the second London/Kendrick shoot is diabolical. Don't watch it, ever.
Â
That would put him third, not second. Its no wonder X-Pac and Road Dogg took on Billy Gunn and Triple H in 1999 with the DX royalties on the line.

@Rossi_uk :Heard someone who got signed from the liverpool tryouts last year has quit...annoys me when people quit as there are people who really want it.
Â
Who's he talking about? Who got signed?
Â
EDIT: A french guy, louis fontaine.
Â
Â
Is he the prick off the Lance Storm show?
-
Or fat bitter lying thin skinned creatively inept twat would have been a better description of him.
Â
Douglas or Oliver?

I done OK on in play betting tonight, I took Barca at 7/2 1-0 down and that bombed but took Chelsea at 2-2 at 4/1 and United 1-0 down at 8/1 so more than tripled my money, all single bets.

Ronnie (voted #7): "I don't know who she is (presumably some singer) but her presence as a talking head in The British drove me to distraction. That was a well-made, serious TV programme about our nation's history but was punctuated by commentary from this know-nothing. 'If that was me I'd've been so like ...' If I'd wanted vapid, meaningless observations I'd have elected to watch X Factor."
Â
Ronnie absolutely hit the nail on the head about how out of place Jessie J was on the otherwise brilliantly put together multi part documentary. At the time I made the point that Jessie J giving her input about the industrial revolution is like having Johnny Vegas appear on Lorraine Kelly's show to give the nation's women dietary advice.
Â
I really enjoyed the list and the comments, well done HG and all who voted.

With all due respect, cobblers to The Rock:-

Why do they keep calling her a WAG? Surely her decade on TV is more relevant. WAG is a ridiculous term for an individual anyway.
Â
Also, using the phrase "another soap beauty in the form of Charlie Brooks" has got to be one of the biggest lies in journalism history.
