  1. I think Pogba will stay. Unless he is doing an Adebayor and playing out of his socks to get a contract elsewhere.

I wasn't thinking about Kane. As good as he is I see him as the Van Nistelrooy problem if he joins. Great individual stats, but not good for the overall team play. I don't think it's a coincidence that as soon as RVN left, Rooney and Ronaldo started to dominate. Carrick arriving obviously helped too.

  2. West Ham surprised me. Man Utd are pretty much always there for the taking, especially at OT. Bowen terrorised us in away game so was quite glad he played deep instead of using his pace against Maguire and co.

The game yesterday was a free swing for West Ham, especially with the teams around them dropping points.

As for Man Utd, Pogba is crucial to the team. We can't rely on Bruno and Shaw to continously pull out great performances. Even Rashford has started to become as inconsistent as Martial. He has been quite poor for months now.

  3. Aldi have started doing Tangy Toms. With 50p to spend, they were my absolute go to at the school summer tuck shop along with a Calypso drink. I've stocked up and don't think I've felt this made up over crisps before.

Said “oh fuck off” out loud when I saw Martial was starting. Expected the same laziness from him. We’ve gone from 3 goalless draws to a 2-0 win at the league leaders and could’ve had a couple more.

He missed 2 great chances, but his whole play was on another level. Honestly can't remember the last time he held the ball up so well and ran at people through the middle. Such a good performance against a top midfield and defence. Which makes it even more frustrating when he doesn't turn up against Jagielka.

5? Which one of the many spin offs are you considering part of the main series?

    Ip Man 1, 2, 3, Master Z, 4

Coming 2 America. It looks like they only had 3 sets to film in. Some of the green screen work was shocking as well. As a piece of nostalgia I guess it works. But it’s not half as funny as the first film. Not the worst comedy sequel but could have been better

I loved it. The plot wasn't even important to me as I was all in on all the nostalgia moments, and it was great to see so many of the original characters in it .As an 80s kid, I loved the music call backs too.

The director also did Dolemite Is My Name, and I know that's been praised on here so I'll be watching that tonight.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is ace. Expected to dislike it a lot but it was one of the funniest films of the 2000s.

I loved the follow up, Get Him To The Greek, too. P Diddy was the highlight.

  7. I've been going through a lot of old stand up shows recently, and as it was 10 years ago when I first saw them, Richard Prior Live In Concert and Eddie Murphy Raw are still the best end to end routines I've ever seen. I still use some of the lines from it today and almost every joke still holds up so well. Close call between Eddie Murphy's Delirious, but Raw edges it for me.

Also forgot how great Kat Williams' American Hustle routine is too.

  8. Watched the whole IP Man film series over the last week. Absolutely stunning with amazing action scenes. Donnie Yen is just superb. I can't think of any other 5 film series where every single one is brilliant.

It's now got me wanting more of the genre so any recommendations of something similar would be great.

Just had the jab. Not as painful as expected and just taking my 15 minute waiting period. Superbly organised and now I'm going to McDonald's.

I didn't have to do the 15 minute wait with the Oxford vaccine. I'm assuming you got the Pfizer one?

  10. Had my vaccine on Saturday morning. Felt awful between 12 and 36 hours after it with shivers and a splitting headache. Thankfully back to 100% quickly after that though.

If you have a choice, have it on a Friday to give you the weekend to recover!

There's an area of Leicester called Belvoir. However for some ridiculous reason it's pronounced Beaver. It makes no sense. Complete nonsense that lots of people blindly follow.

Really?? I'm from Leicester and have had my haircut on that street for years and always thought it was pronounced as written. I'm sure I've never been corrected any time I've taken a cab there too..

King of the Hill is superb. You are in for a treat if you've never seen it before.

First six or so seasons are among my favourite tv of all time. Goes downhill quite badly towards the end.

Great characters and great heart, really stands out as a non wacky adult animated show.

I used to love Family Guy but feel like I've outgrown it now. The jokes are just not as funny anymore. Might be because I'm older or they've just become worse.

Is King of the Hill worth a punt?

  13. Love Martial, but I think he's the most at risk in the long term. Greenwood has been good off the right but I think he will eventually go in the middle.

As well as someone alongside Maguire, United really need wingbacks that can attack. It was embarrassing in the last few games where teams just gave Williams and AWB all the space in the world knowing they'd do naff all with the ball but pass it back from where it came.
