  1. Bad Day at Black RockFairly good movie. Had a sort of uneasy feel right from the start. The shock of everyone when Spencer Tracy got off of the train showed us right away that something wasn't right. The way it built from there was also steady and good. Not the classic I was told it was, but still a good movie.

  2. Amelie is actually a very good movie though. Not really into Scarface. I think it's a good movie, but not much more than that. I liked Al Pacino's performance in the movie.

Pretty good movie, but there was quite a lot happening, and there were actually points where I was a bit lost, but when they started putting everything together at the end, I started to get what was going on. Georgle Clooney has gotten a lot of credit for his role in the movie, but Matt Damon shone above him here.

  3. The ShiningThe image of the dead Jack Torrance is quite hilarious, it has to be said. So is the picture Halloran has above his TV, and that thing is the biggest afro I have ever seen in my life. I wish I could find a picture of it, I really do. The movie itself is still chilling. Remains one of my top horror movies of all time, although it's not quite as good as Don't Look Now and The Wicker Man.

  4. UnforgivenAs a person who has barely watched a Western in my life, I was not expecting to be engulfed by this film as I was. It's sentimental yet gritty, with a superb soundtrack creating an atmosphere which is incomprehensible. The characters and writing is pure gold, with Clint Eastwood, Richard Harris and Morgan Freeman at their best. The violence and language, plus the setting pulls off the cowboy feel to it seamlessly, and you are left with a really really perfect film.9/10

I'm not much on westerns either. This movie is absolutely awesome though. By this time, nearly everything Eastwood was doing was pure gold.
  5. Reservoir DogsSuperb movie, with some fantastically memorable dialogue. The best of it being, for me, the scene in which Mr Pink ( Steve Buscemi ) goes on a rant about tipping. He actually makes sense with a bit of it. 'Tip these guys, but dont tip these guys.'. On the whole, it's a really good story and film.

  6. Magnolia, I watched last night.Doesn't lose it's appeal one bit. Standout performance has to be the awesome Tom Cruise. There isn't really a BAD performance in there though, so no credit away from the rest, but Cruise was just incredible in his role, and it's rather weird seeing him in such a 'cuntish' role. The movie on the whole is just fantastic though, and easily one of my top five favourite movies of all time.

  7. Mission Impossible 3AWESOME !!! Brilliant stuff here. The only negative I'd give is Philip Seymour Hoffman in his more action orientated parts. As a badass villain, he's absolutely superb, and an incredibly evil bastard. Some of the action scenes in here are also just 'seen to be believed' level stunts.

  8. The thing is, I got into that main 'crazy killer' more than I have got into one for a long time.Anyways, I watched The Shawshank Redemption again last night.I'll never get sick of that movie. EVER ! It's amazing. The best movie ever, and deserves it's place at the top of Empire's best movies.

  9. Decent showing for SWA.Brilliant 3rd place for Majik in the UK Wrestler, and joint 2nd promotion in the UK ? That'll do nicely.

An SWA wrestler in worst match of the year though
Well, Kriss Sprules was in it.Nuff said.
