  1. Backlash 2000 and SummerSlam '91 among others like WrestleMania X and SummerSlam 2002 are in their honourable mentions. No mention at all of Survivor Series '98 i'm afraid though Ian. Backlash 2000 and SummerSlam 2002 would definitely feature highly in my list and are the big omissions for me. There's barely a weak point on either, outstanding top to bottom shows and Raid is right with Fully Loaded too. 2000 was stacked with banging ppvs and although Royal Rumble is tremendous it's always suffered for me from the actual Rumble itself being pretty rubbish.

Agreeing with Ian on No Way Out 2001 too, don't see how that could be classed so highly, as enjoyable as elements of it were. King of the Ring '93 would place for me too.

    Thoughts?

  3. I dozed off on the sofa earlier. I dreamt that basically...I was Phil Mitchell. I was seemingly in his other gaff he has when he fucks off for a bit (I don't even know if he has this, I don't ever watch Eastenders, but in my mind he does at least from when I have seen it). It was a house that was clearly a spare place to get away to with not much love given to it. I was lying on a bed with a nice young lady (I don't know who) and was about to get up to some hanky panky but didn't because she was being a moanyarse. I went through some post and had something in one that reminded me of Phils son Ben who I never see any more because Kathy has got him. There was pics on the cabinet of me and Kathy which young lady was getting a bit moanyarse about. She noticed me (Phil) getting upset at what I was looking at from the post and then she wanted to get frisky again like a typical crazywoman but I told her to do one because I was all emotional but refusing to show it or let anyone in Phil style. Then I seemed to be me all of a sudden and was having a nose round and asked young lady how much she reckons the place cost him (Phil). There was about a million Dominos flyers through the door where the place had been basically abandoned for ages, a Dominos woman just turns up in the house and apologises and says she'll stop them getting posted through the door. It took me three times to understand what she was saying.

So...um, yeah that was a weird one. Fuck knows what's going on in my head there. Maybe that i'm sexually frustrated, need to get a new place and should have ordered a Dominos tonight.

  4. Bray looked a lot better this week in going over Ziggler. Dolph really does know how to make his opponents stuff look awesome. His taking of Sister Abigail was easily the finest it's ever looked.

Brays situation is still shit and confusing though. Seemingly lacking any direction. Maybe something is coming up with Kane but I think really the family have been used purely as a method to remove Kane from TV for the Bryan angle to really work and so he can shoot the movie. I'm not convinced the next chapter is already written. And Brays tweets sometimes almost imply he's against the regime in the main storyline. Maybe he will be written into it but I really can't see it at the moment or how it will fit.

I really think he should be programmed with Christian for now. Although Christian may get involved in the big angle now himself following Monday, but if not he's doing nothing and is the ideal person in my eyes to enhance Brays position. Christian should be used to put other, emerging talent over and give them quality matches. I could see them blending in the ring well and with Christians recent World title involvement Bray could look particularly strong working with him. And on the promo front for Bray, he can use some clever word play to push his gimmick around Christians name.

  5. A smackhead-looking fella came up to me on the road on Monday, and I thought he was going to launch into one of those "I need to get back to Chester tonight and I've been mugged" stories. But he didn't. He said "I had a dream last night and you were in my dream. And you know who your girlfriend was? Katy Perry."

I can't describe exactly why or what it is, but God I love this.

It was me talking about sleep and dream shit a few weeks or so back. I'm massively fascinated by it all and the unconscious mind and opted against starting a thread because i'd probably ramble on about shit forever and I've got some theories that would likely make you all think i'm quite insane.

Air_Raid, I've heard/read that the teeth falling out thing is Family worries, rather than money. That something bad is about to happen to someone in your family or someone you care about. The Sopranos dream episode had Tonys teeth continually falling out if I remember correctly and again if I remember correctly it was that theory it was referencing.

  6. It's a combo finisher though really isn't it? Always coming after Harpers big boot or discuss clothesline? Two big power moves from two big oafs. I don't think it's a bad move for Rowan to have as his special...it's the sort of thing you imagine someone with not much going on upstairs to just instinctively do with aggression with their big frame.

  7. Aye Carumba! That's right, they did all get proper injured. I actually remember that now. Forgot they was around that long initially, but remember them being in the battle royal and one of them somehow injuring themselves before the match even started. And certainly remember Edge hurting one of them in his debut and of course Edge didn't debut until about early summer '98 I think. I caused myself to believe they went well before that by thinking about Savio being the mystery partner at No Way Out. To think he was still with the Boricuas at the time makes that seem all the more of a nuts solution to replace Michaels.

  8. I was actually referring to when Edge and Christian were Los Conquistadores and apparently Jesus was the other guy who wasn't Christopher Daniels when it wasn't E and C under the masks.

Iuns joke has made me actually wonder if Los Savios ever had a split angle rather than just disappearing. I'm sure they couldn't have been important enough for it and just vanished post Gang Wars. They should have had Savio kill them all like he did a few lads in the Brawl for All later on and then when he was brought in for his big No Way Out push team Stone Cold would have shat themselves.

  9. So it was Glen Jacobs as Kane from his initial appearance, yeah? I didn't realise there was any doubt in that.

    Jesus!

Different bloke. He was in Los Boricuas for a bit but wasn't used until years later where he turned up as Carlitos mate and stabbed Cena in some club. He never donned the Kane garb, although apparently he was a Conquistador.

  10. In the video in the link I posted, it's mentioned that the 'Flying Foxes' aren't like you'd imagine them to be from that term, that they're smaller and compared them more to 'Flying Squirrels', but then felt that was inaccurate and said she will have to get a picture. So maybe a picture will surface, will keep a look out for that shit.

Funny that foxes with giant bat wings is what first enters your mind though. What I seem to imagine is the talking 'coyote' which Johnny Cash voices in The Simpsons because he flies about a bit in that I think. So i'm picturing something more that leaps and glides/floats more than technically flies by flapping big fuck off wings.

  11. After reading how Yoshi has been around since 2009 it got me wondering, who has been around for the longest (continuous) period of time in the WWE Locker room.

So obviously we have John Cena and Randy Orton both from 2002 but think it might be interesting seeing some odd ones pop up.

You're obviously not counting Triple H and The Undertaker, so it depends on what you're counting as "continuous" I am guessing you don't count those two as they've had lengthy voluntary absences that weren't specifically because of an injury. So, it's got to be Mark Henry, then Kane, then Regal, then Mysterio I'd have thought. And Jerry Lawler before Mysterio, if he counts.

Lawler would be obviously be way up there, were it not for walking out in 2001. But as we've also mentioned Mickey Cole, surely J.R is up there - even with his firings?

Mysterio has been around about as long as Orton and Cena.

Did Big Show ever actually leave the company proper on any of his hiatus'?

If we're talking referees, as mentioned Chioda has been around forever. Jack Doan has been knocking about for a while too, he's still there isn't he? Teddy Long has been hanging about for ages too. And if we're going beyond wrestlers and referees for regular/somewhat regular on-screen appearances there's Howard Finkel, Tony Chimmel and Mark Yeaton.

Is Ron Simmons still on the payroll?

  12. Wasn't sure if this quite qualified or was interesting enough for this thread, but I personally think it seems pretty extraordinary and incredibly fascinating and absolutely beautiful and considering it apparently inhabits a whole load of new plants and species such as 'Flying Foxes' maybe it does. And the idea of undiscovered areas of the world fascinates me, as does undiscovered/new species which has been a popular discussion in here recently.

Worlds largest cave, discovered four years ago, over 5.5 miles long, could fit a 40 foot skyscraper within its walls and has a river and a jungle held within and soon you'll be able to visit it, provided you're prepared and willing to drop 80 metres on bungee rope to get in.

  13. I don't mind Punk. Sometimes I don't like him much, other times he can be pretty special, he is really hit and miss for me I guess. I thought he was great in his early babyface run in WWE and really great in his heel run from 2009 onwards. I mainly don't like 'internet favourite' CM Punk, when he's pandering to that portion of the audience and I can't stand his bullshit 'I've always being held back and nobody in the office wanted me to succeed' that he always insists on pushing.

Graves though? Yeah not much of a fan at all there.

  14. More pre-gimmick character art from the internets greatest website. Some of these will blow your mind. Some quality Crush art.

Its funny how every original sketch the artist seems to have the idea that the wrestler in question is a homosexual.

Haha! I thought that as well. "Is there any way we can get assless chaps on this guy?"

    All chaps are assless.

Bringing up Graves with the intention of bringing massive attention to the fact he's a much, much poorer version of CM Punk does not seem like a good idea at all.

  15. My original posts stands then, as I still don't get that. Maybe I haven't seen as much of him as you and have interpreted his act in a different way, but I've taken him in the way Butch described and would have thought that's what he's going for. As I said, surprised anyone be irritated by that entrance against Cabana and want to see him get slapped as a result (unless you're a Punk fanboy or something), rather than grinning their tits off. I could kind of see why he may irritate certain types 'in the wrong way' or 'the John Cena way' for you and not want to see him in their wrestling at all. Anyway, cheers for the response. Interesting that's the reaction he evokes from you.

  16. If that picture Astro posted the other week is anything to go by, not much.

I reckon Reigns is in line to dominate the divas division. He's got some Batista + Diesel level cool and swagger going on. That's a powerful combination. He has to have speared his way through the new Total Divas piece already.
