  1. Oh yes, and when Addidas want an advertisement on the channel they'll look straight at an FWA show and be all "Oooooo...they have smoke machines! Lets get advertising time during that!"You've also missed the point! Nobody is questioning the fact that other promotions are not ready for the channel YET. But they are going to be forced to wait 5 years now, until they are. This means, if a rival British fed were to draw 150 000 people and have the worlds biggest dream card showcase with hollywood movie style production values, but is filmed and produced in Britain, it cannot be shown on TWC for another 5 years. And just imagine the amount of people who would want to advertise during THAT!

And there, people, is a great summary explaining precisely people's problems with this. So, that should stop the stupid "yeah but FWA is on tv now thats more than the past wen der woz none! wykkkd!" posts.
  2. To be honest, why is this a problem? The demands TWC made to some feds who enquired about getting on the TWC left nobody interested anyway. It's not like all these people were in negotiation stages and Alex ran in, hit em all with a chair, and did a HBK, signing FWA into the WM main event for the next 5 years. And lets be honest, if its around in 5 years, british wrestling will be in a better state due to it. And if it isnt, back to laughing stock we tumble. But, announcing you've just wiped out all chance of seeing internet favorites on TWC, on the internet = stupid stupid move. Fine, make that deal, but dont do a god damn press release on it. It'd be like WWE doing a press release saying "oh we signed up Low Ki, Styles, Ted Hart, Red, Everybody else you like, AND they'll be in OVW for 5 years, enjoy".And to the people who are saying "stop moaning, stop moaning, FWA on tv is excellent" blah blah blah - we've known FWA will be on TWC for a long time. It's the announcement that they'll be the ONLY one on there for the forseeable future that a lot of fans are worried about. It confuses me as to why Gary of wZw is disappointed about it though.

  3. Agreed pickers. Nigel is an employee of Phil. Sure, they work as a team, but it's Phil's project. As Nige said to me once on msn, Phil handles the business, Nige does the creative as its Phil's project. If the event happens with everybody scheduled and is immaculate in the planning, but the storylines and matches suck, then we blame Nige :):):).PS, Guerrero rox. Just so i dont get accused of being a hypocrit about saying how everybody posts about everything cept the topic :) .

  4. I, however, will try and get Nigel to write for my site, as so long as nothing ever comes up where a magazine or writer contacts me regarding copying/non-sourcing etc, i'll try and sign talent when i see it.

Do you get writer's to sign multi-year deals with downsize guarantees?By the way, Nige made his decision before any of this happened.
Perhaps a bad choice of words to say "sign", but given the over-reacting going on in this topic, its not out of place now, is it.Oh and by the by, i have paid writers before...
  5. So what we're saying here is, somebody read another article and formed their own article based on that.I fail to see where that differenciates from what ive been doing in news re-reporting since 1998. And the only hate mail or hate feedback i get for it is the fake links on news reports.Seriously, if the person who wrote article 1 has a problem with it, then theres a problem. Otherwise, i dont get why people are so wrapped up in setting out to deface Nige's rep. Now, what i see is that through all this, Nigel has quit writing because of it. Was that whoever started this big 'debate's aim? If so, congrats.I, however, will try and get Nigel to write for my site, as so long as nothing ever comes up where a magazine or writer contacts me regarding copying/non-sourcing etc, i'll try and sign talent when i see it.
