  1. And also add me to the 'sit down whilst peeing' crew. Much less chance of splash-back and I get to play Solitaire at the same time

    Was going so well...

Much less chance of splashback? That makes it sound like you sit down in the urinal.

Whenever I use a urinal, I can literally feel splashes on my hands- which puts me in a difficult position as I don't want to pull my boxers & trousers up until after I've washed my hands first for fear the splashes will transfer onto my trousers. Therefore I have to shuffle across to the sink and wash my hands first- with trousers still open.

I may be reading this wrong but when you use a urinal you pull your trousers and boxers down? No fly?

A female friend of mine thought that all blokes went to the toilet with their pants and trousers round their ankles, even in pubs, etc. No idea why.

And I'm a stand up, turn around and survey the damage sort of guy.

  2. the worst thing about all of this is that the posistions and participation in both countdowns are voted for by all of us, does Benny even vote?
I don't think he does, he's very professional about it all, no one knows whats on the countdown coming except him. I'd be surprised if he told a single soul a spoiler about this list.

    lol
  3. Apparently he got called up to do a dark match but turned up so out of shape that nobody was impressed. Most of the heat for it got put on Johnny Ace though, as Tomko was apparently working hurt and hadn't been able to train. I haven't heard anything about him since that though.

  4. Going from those figures, they're doing between 25-40% of the business on pay-per-view that the old ECW used to do, from what I can figure out. 40,000 buys would equal a 0.1 PPV buyrate and ECW used to do around 0.2/0.3 on PPV. However, I'm unsure if the amount of buys for a 1.0 rating (Which I believe is currently 400,000) increases in the same way that the figure for tv ratings does.

  5. TNA don't have to release the figures because they are a private company, however I also imagine them not releasing the figures has something to do with the fact that they don't want to advertise that despite having a weekly primetime television show on a pretty major network that draws a viewership of one and a half million people every week, only twenty/thirty thousand of them think the product is worth spending money once a month.

    These are the estimate figures...

  6. Jim Londos beat Ed 'Strangler' Lewis on September 20th 1934 at Wrigley Park, Chicago, Illinois, in front of a crowd of 35,265 (Gate of $96,302) in 49 minutes and 27 seconds.

And Sonnenberg was the NWA (Association, not Alliance) World Champ in '29, after he was stripped of the belt Dick Shikat defeated Jim Londos in a decision match to become the new champion.

  7. bAz is incorrectly linking the currently Michaels/JBL storyline to the film 'The Wrestler' which has just been released, when its actually more to do with the credit crunch that is affecting everyone at the moment. Michaels basically said that he spent all his early ninities money on parties, his late ninities/early two-thousand money on church and charities and lost the little he had saved and invested in the stock market tumble. JBL offered Michaels the job of his lackey, which Michaels has had to accept because he is skint and needs to look after his family. Its an interesting angle, which is unfortunately hampered by the fact that its difficult to really believe that Michaels is broke, but they're actually trying their hardest to make it work, with little segments with Hunter and stuff. Plus giving the staredown between JBL and Michaels on RAW was about the only thing the crowd reacted to on the whole show, it seems to be working a bit.

  8. When did NWA Hammerlock start up? Also is it true that NJPW is the NWA's reprentitive in Japan as well as BCW for Canada and AAA for Mexico or is it just my imagination?

Antonio Inoki is the NWA representative in Japan. When he worked for New Japan, they were the NWA promotion, nowadays Inoki Genome Promotion or whatever they are called are the NWA affiliate over there.

  9. Lister will know for certain (Because its in his book) but going from my hazy memory I think they started off at $19.95 and then moved up to $24.95 in '98, I think Living Dangerously was the first at the new price.

I'll double check when I get from home from work if nobody else jumps in with a definite answer.

  10. He's a Robbie Brookside trainee out of the WrestLeicester school in Leicester (surprisingly, although i don't think Brookside is the trainer there anymore). The poster C-Dude, is probably your best bet for more info as he used to train with the guy from what I recall from drunken nights out.

  11. Roadkill is announced as being from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, which is the home of the Amish community. I imagine that the Amish are the butt of a lot of rural jokes (like Welsh people are in England) given the way that they choose to live their lives.
