  1. That is definitely a list of a more traditional coaster fan. Personally, I prefer the simulator rides like Spiderman, Transformers and Simpsons, I just enjoy the technology and impressiveness of them. I would, however, still agree that The Mummy is the best ride across both parks and the last 2 or 3 times ive been there you could just walk straight onto it.

The Spielberg agreement is crazy, I dont know the in's and out's of it like some but its a seriously impressive deal that Spielberg got himself when the parks were in creation and makes him an even richer man each and every year. Im guessing the agreement isnt what it once was though since BTTF and Jaws are no more.

I think the problem is that the Raw after Mania has become overhyped. It was shit last year. If you find Raw to be FF material every week, then half the Raw after Mania still will be.

The excitement is in the debuts, turns and returns. I thought this was a good one overall.

Yeah theyve made it a thing now, which when WWE is concerned, is always a bad thing. For me, the post Mania RAW peak was Zigglers MITB cash in on Del Rio. The pop and energy when he was coming down the ramp was incredible and again at the end of the match.

I dont really like returns like Balors on this show. Purely from a kayfabe perspective, why is he waiting til the night after Mania to return? Is he that much of a fanboy that he wants the smart crowd pop over one of the biggest thrills of his career in walking out at Mania? Especially when one of the main storylines heading into Mania was somebody demanding they be involved and on the card.

The other three fair enough, but I would keep Reigns away from Owens. Owens (and Joe) should be the top heels alongside/as well as Reigns on Raw if Heel Reigns is ever the direction that they want to go.

With Raw getting the Hardys, Revival and Balor, who do we see joining/returning to Smackdown? The tag division could do with a couple of quality teams to oppose American Alpha. I guess with the draft next week though they might not bother doing much with Smackdown this week.

SmackDown! needs to have a few debuts/returns tonight. Even with the draft next week there needs to be something visible to show that it isnt second fiddle (even though it is). Since the draft, Raw has had an entire Cruiserweight division, Joe, Bayley, The Hardys, The Revival and Goldberg roll up and effectively taken Taker whilst Smackdown has brought in Ellsworth, Hawkins and Rhyno. For all the talk on investor calls about it being a genuine competition for ratings between two totally seperate brands, they just cant bring themselves to stop promoting Raw above everything else, despite SD nudging closer and closer in the ratings at points. Unless they start giving it equal footing, the whole thing will go the same way as the last brand split.

  4. It was mostly hilarious because the same whiners loved the Survivor Series match but as soon as it was one of the indy darlings getting the Goldberg treatment, they lost their minds. Wreddit, unsurprisingly, was especially guilty of this.

I didn't really pay attention to the internet at the time. Was there a big, shitty backlash when Goldberg beat Owens for the title? I expected there would be and, if I'm honest, one of the reasons I want Roman to beat Taker is to see a similar online reaction.

I steered clear of it best I could, but there were some claiming that Owens got "buried". Some seemed to think it was going to go 15minutes or so, so you got the "well Oldberg clearly can't fucking wrestle anymore. Why else would they bury Steen that way"

How do you not steer clear of it? Where does it really exist? Obviously it is a real thing, but surely if that kind of crowd isnt your thing, you dont venture their ways? I occasionally see stuff on instagram that random followers have liked but id say thats my only exposure to that type of crowd and is easily ignored. Unless you frequent specific forums or social media accounts you never see it surely? I dont really understand this guise of 'the internet' speaking as one.

  5. What is it with Corden? Hes a big time Charlie with a US Chat show and in Disney films now and hes still knocking out adverts for Confused.com and voice overs for Aviva. I like to think he signed some really bad long term deals when he was treading water and they're just cashing them in now hes made it big.

  6. Whilst I agree that getting into work can help take your mind off of it, it is a little different being able to bury your head in your keyboard in an office and having to entertain people in a light hearted stand up routine. I also find it weird he was plugging a podcast with Kevin Nash on his twitter just after tweeting saying his wife had died.

Although from listening to a few podcasts and seeing him speaking in the past, he seems like the type to be able to get through a week like this by keeping busy, perhaps he's even relieved that it is Wrestlemania week so that he gets away from home and takes his mind away.

  7. Isnt the idea that Scotland can gain independence and thus be invited as members into the EU quite far fetched? There's plenty of countries in the EU who wont want to give a whiff of encouragement to ideas of indepence by allowing a newly independent nation to gain membership.

On Sturgeon, its smart but its the only thing she could reasonably do. She wont be given permission for a referendum until atleast the end of negotiations, and that is a minimum of 2 years away. Even then unless she can put a guarantee of EU membership on the table, she cant really win as thats their only argument in all of this. The only positive outcome I can see for the SNP from this is that negotiations end well for the UK and they claim the pressure they applied was the reason for this.

  8. Im actually going to this one and have still managed to avoid most of the build up, although have seen bits of Skys staged potty mouthery. Cant see anything other than Haye, not sure Bellew can carry himself at heavyweight against somebody as quick and powerful as Haye. Its a big step up and I dont think hes got the conditioning to transition as seamlessly as Haye did. The only question mark is about whether Haye has that top level left in him anymore since his injuries and retirement.

  9. I think the main problem is that Roman doesnt feel natural, and a lot of that can come down to the writing but he has to shoulder a lot of it too. Atleast with Cena, as plastic as he comes across some of the time, had a natural charismatic style of delivery his lines and could think on his feet. Roman feels very manufactured, whether he is or not.

  10. So much Foley hate on here, ive really liked him in the role, especially now hes not a big blob you're inclined to feel sorry for. I have seen a few occasions where hes flubbed his lines but ive also seen just as many times where hes elevated a segment with his delivery. He's been written well at times alongside JeriKO, Zayn and Braun and added another element to those character. The stuff with Stephanie is fine as long as it leads somewhere, rather than just to constantly establish a McMahon as above every single other talent, as is so often the case with Stephanie. Has she had any kind of payback since Guerrero threw her in mud? I'd personally love to see him keep the role for a bit but also liked the idea of a revolving door policy with former stars and legends having 6 months in the job.

Not Kurt though, I still remember how terrible he was as SmackDown GM, Luther Reigns was a cesspit.

  11. I started working in London around 6 years ago and originally had the idea of commuting from Surrey for a few years before buying a place. I quickly realised that it was going to cost me atleast double for a smaller property, in a much worse area than what was around my way (which isnt cheap itself) and the idea was completely nixed. Ive no idea how anyone gets onto the ladder there without a very wealthy family or having an ultra high salary job (which usually comes because of the former).

  12. This is probably a stupid question, but is Universal Studios (Orlando) noticeably busier on a Sunday than a Monday?

I mean I'd always assume that to be the case at Alton Towers or Chessington, etc, but I'm wondering if the greater distances at play in the States might deter people from considering it a casual weekend activity.

I used to think not, as weekends used to be the 'changeover days' back in the package holiday days. Tourists would typically be arriving and returning home at the weekends and the parks would be fairly quiet. Thats not the case now though and they are definitely busier on a Sunday than a Monday, how noticeable that is would depend on when youre going.

  13. Oh yep i have won more than £10 on Lucky 63's. I had 4 and 5 games come in for me. The main thing is i don't lose my stake money and plus i'll do the single's on the Lucky 63's match's that i have placed. Like i said before if i do a draw i get 3.60 or above and if you have a fair idea on the games to back you will make a profit (or what to back and and how to back).

There is money to be made on every sport and event going (I mean Football, Bandy, Basketball, ESports & Virtual sports Plus realty TV) . In the last 5 month's I've learnt how to minimise loses and make a profit after loses. Of course you will not win every bet nobody will do (Even me). I keep track of my winning's and loses per day, week and month. Some days i down but as long as i'm up end of the week and then month i'm good.

With a football match say i look at Palace vs Middlesboro next Sat (25 Feb) This could be on my Lucky 63 (but i doubt it). I could have over 6 bet's on this one game. (Handicaps. Final score so on so forth) but i may just have one.

I started small and built up my bank roll and started betting bigger stakes and betting on much more events as i went along. Yes people lose bets at any level they bet at but as long as you are turning a profit (At end of week and month) you will be able to bet bigger and overall turn a bigger profit.

Here is how people have started,I have told people to start on Over/Under's on Basket ball with £100 and bet £1 (Of course it can be any amount you like or feel comfortable with)  time then after 2000 bets (if you know what your doing) you want a win rate of at least 54% (1100 wins 900 loses at odd's of 1.9) that's a 90% profit. then double your stack money for double profits and build from there.

Like i said over last 5 month's i have learnt a lot of trick's to betting even on the Horse's and Dog's plus ton's more. Wrestling is a easy money when it comes to betting.

Wooly, I seem to remember you in this thread years ago with another ill-contrived betting method? I seem to remember you showing us something where you were blanket betting on every single NBA game.

The bit in bold was the main part that nearly made me spit my squash back out though. Have you really ever had 6 bets on a single game of football? If you have, and they werent all ultimately linked to the main supremacy and goals in the game, i.e if you feel team x is too big at home to team y then sure, you can back them to win, win to nil, minus 1 goal etc etc then thats not completely ridiculous, its still a bad idea, but its plausable if youve identified value in the market. However, if you are backing multiple facets on a game, such as draw (as you say), total goals, cards, corners, clean sheets then you are in for a hiding in the long run.

Generally speaking, prop traders for the largest sports trading firms will have days where they dont have 6 bets in an entire day, let alone 6 on a single match an theyre the guys turning over the large asian bookmakers and some of the very few making a living from punting.

EDIT: Forgot to say, if youre coupling this style of betting with lumping them all in Lucky 63's or even any multiple, then its even worse. You're just paying the hefty margins on these types of markets over and over on the same betslip.

  14. Thanks for answering the previous question, guys! A new one: The tips seem to suggest going to the park for opening, then leaving mid-morning and going back in the evening, as in between they're ramming. Is that a decent rule of thumb to at least prepare for each day? And as a non-driver, what kind of things are recommended to go and do in between?

It depends really. The middle of the day is always the busiest time and ride queues will be longest then but I wouldnt really advise leaving and coming back unless you are physically staying on site or very close by. Entering and exiting the park and leaving the actual resort and getting to wherever you want to be instead are pretty time consuming things. If you are staying in a Disney or Universal hotel then its probably a good idea to go and chill by the pool or get lunch for a few hours.

Better advise I think would just be to plan. If its a Disney park do a little research on what rides have the longest queues and use youre three free Fastpasses for those rides in advance. Scout out shows instead of rides to head to during the early afternoon rush or hold off lunch until then. If its Universal you are going to, then try and do Harry Potter, Kong, Simpsons or Tranformers as soon as you get to the park in the morning and the rest of the lines shouldnt be so bad. Or if you are really bothered about queuing, aye out for the Express Pass.

  15. Just catching up on the good bits from last week. As others have said, the Festival of Friendship was superb and probably the best segment they've done for quite some time. The one minor floor was Owens saying that the point of it was to do a beat down on Goldberg, despite him obviously not being in the building or advertised. Jerichos forced sympathetic face turn could be great and his delivery throughout was briliant. Its amazing how a guy so talented can go from nearly getting X-Pac heat a few years ago to being the best thing about the programme for the better part of a year.

The womens match was something else too, just a great match to watch and a wonderful finish. Of course its made even better that the 3 main girls are proper stars now in a way that none of the men on the roster are. All three of them have traded wins with each other and other females on the roster and yet they still have this aura around them that they cant seem to make stick with the guys, strange.

  16. As johnnybooy says, theres barely any single rider lines at Disney. Even at Universal, I can still think of a fair few rides that don't have them, but they are more common. Universal generally has shorter wait times than Disney, obviously depending on when you go, which does reduce the need for them anyway, but they are handy when its a ride you arent too bothered about riding or if theres a 60 minute wait as there often is for the newer rides.

  17. Yeah the app has to be open still. I still play, I have about 5 to get but other than an Aerodactyl (never seen one) and Omastar (40 candy away) im one or two candy away from the others. I only really had interest in the original pokemon as a bit of a nostalgia trip to my childhood and collecting the cards. Ill see if the new update interests me otherwise I can see me stopping before the warm weather comes.

  18. Has anyone every done the Horror Nights at Universal?

Were wondering about whether to bother with it. From what ive seen on videos and pics the houses are pretty impressive as far as their design and quality but ultimately it is basically people jumping out on you for cheap scares? Considering the extra cost on top of already high ticket prices and I hear there are huge queues for a lot of stuff im thinking against it currently. Anyone think theyre a must?
