Annoyingly Kong was about the only thing we didnt get to ride last year despite it being about the only new attraction there since our last visit. Queued for 45 minutes before technical difficulties sent it down for a few hours and we never got back round to it.Â
Sounds like the Nintendo World wont be open until around 2023 and will be in their new park(s).

Are we now assuming he is actually under a long term WWE contract and being allowed to do this, or is his contract up in the summer? Im thinking its the former now.

It makes it seem even stranger that they ditched Rousey for 30 days, or was that down to other commitments? Or atleast go with a more regular main even opponent as AJs challenger. AJ v Bryan would have been perfect for this event with a Miz run in to setup their Summerslam match. Lashley v Reigns is going to be alsorts of trouble closing the show, or do they want that now?
-
Yeah theyre taking pelters over that Fast and Furious ride.

I think it will end up being Lesnar Vs Strowman Vs Reigns Vs Lashley at Summerslam.
Lesnar suuuuuurely has to put someone over in a one on one? Otherwise whats been the point of this never ending period of domination when they just get Lashley to take the pin?

Yeah Defunctland is a great YouTube channel. His latest videos on Space Mountain and Euro Disney are probably his best, as well as the ones on the original Universal rides.

Its a shame they havent really capitalised on that brilliant match at Mania and had something ready for Ronda. I mean, of all the girls, she should have had a program ready for the next night. Instead, shes walked to the ring for the save 2 or 3 weeks and not much else. She should have been in a tag match at Backlash and then probably a singles at MITB. You can then quite easily keep her away from the title match until Summerslam and give her a decent run with it.

Whats the prize for this tournament? A shot at the UK Champion? I would have thought they'd have gone with something slightly different format wise after last years tournament.

Thanks mate 😉
I’m just curious as to why they aren’t doing the slot pre-Smackdown, still live, as opposed to after like they do now. Unless there’s something else being broadcast on the network for that timeslot?
Other than the responses also given, there's also the chance that people dont bother turning up for a half arsed cruiser weight show before SmackDown and then a decent dark main event. At least by holding after SD and before the main you keep the bulk of them in their seats. Its not as much of a problem for Main Event when you can edit and dub the show (unless they show it live too?) and nobody watches it anyway.

Their statement yesterday seems clear they don’t think it’s time yet:Â
“Hulk Hogan is an important part of Andre the Giant's history, however his appearance at tonight's HBO premiere of the documentary and his plans to help others learn from his mistakes does not mean WWE is rehiring him. Hogan is not scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events."
I think they're trying to gauge reaction to a potential return. They clearly want to do something so are drip feeding rumours to see how the media and fans react to it. Personally I dont think there will be that much of a reaction if he does return. He will be back in the next 12 months in some form.Â

From the picture it looks like a smaller version of Galaxies Edge which I'm not that keen on, I hate them lazily just repeating stuff in different parks. But the Frozen land will be quite original I hope and this is probably the start of them rolling out mass Marvel lands everywhere (including DCA soon).
Im struggling to remember the layout of the park though, is that long walk way towards the lake completely new? Or was it always there leading into their Toy Story bit? It does look a bit plain but I'm sure they'll eventually theme it with rows of shops etc.
-
They basically only wanted it again for touring reasons didnt they and even that doesnt work perfectly with the tv schedule now.Â
I didnt realise until this week that Corey Graves was on SD as well as Raw now too. Do they realise fans dont actually give a toss about it any more than they do and never really did?

Yeah, we went with the villa this time and it just really struck me how much food, car, fuel, parking etc cost. For the 2 weeks all of that came to well over £2000 itself. We basically decided that we would wait a few years until the kids are a bit older and then go with the dining option and stay at Disney. Purely stick to the Disney parks and resort and then in a few years again when the kids are old enough to really enjoy Universal go with the villa option.

Theres a great site called thedibb.co.uk which is a really good planning and advice forum. I've been more times than I can count and I still learnt a lot from that site in the run up to our recent trip.Â
How old are your kids? If you are going to be mainly in Disney have you considered staying on site? Only their free disney dining offer will be launching soon (think before the start of april) and is genuinely a pretty good offer for a family. Otherwise, any time to book really, except for flights be on the look out for flight sales etc. Maybe consider trying to build up some reward points with airlines through a linked credit card before then? We got our flights for two adults and a child for £750 by booking during the BA sale and using avios points for £500 off.

I believe that's the plan still in WDW
Its a cool idea, I just cant envisage it. Like, how is the ride vehicle going to be anything like it should be? And is it just going to the coaster with hanging fluorescent doors everywhere?
I think I like the idea, I just think it would be a VERY good idea if it has a ride system that really works for it, like the Potter rides.
-
Cinemagique closed? I remember being pleasantly surprised by that. Love that RNR is being re-themed, its generally a great indoor coaster (only bettered by Mummy IMO) and the Aerosmith theme was always a bit naff for me.
I did prefer the idea of retheming it to a Monster Inc Door Factory ride though, but I dont think that would realistically work on such a fast paced ride.Â

This could go in so many different directions. Firstly, it might not even happen. They've been a bit smarter in not rushing the start of the league but they've had to do this to try and find investment. I can see there being a lot of potential 'donors' to the league, but its still a long way to go to secure contracts, stadia and whatever media deals they are going to go with. From Vince's comments, I can see him going right out there as far as TV distribution. He might even forego TV altogether if he has some kind of Facebook deal in the offing. They want to launch into Sports Broadcasting but its so damn expensive now. IF he can secure something with a company like that, it could work and be very profitable for them. No doubt in his head, he sees this working and sees the league as expanding over the year.Â
With regards to still using the XFL name, they had no choice really. They could have called it whatever they wanted and people would still call it 'that XFL revival thing' or similar.
What is mad though, is that this is really old school Vince. He had become almost this reclusive type public figure compared to his heyday or sticking his middle finger up to everyone and doing whatever the hell he wanted to try and mould pop culture. At 72, its amazing to think he still has that ambition to launch something and show everyone hes not the mad old wrestling promoter. He did say this could be his only public thing with regards tot he XFLÂ though and I can believe that. There's no way hes running this January - April, slap bang in the middle of Wrestlemania season whilst still sitting in Gorilla at every fucking show. And its clear he has no want to stop doing that anytime soon.

It's better than the Pedigree, but he's still Seth Freakin' Rollins.
Did he ever actually call himself that? Or was it just on a t-shirt? HHH obviously did, but im not sure Rollins ever actually said it. I just hope he didnt actually, because it is crap.

Add me to the 'meh' crowd. It was a decent enough movie, I just think it was closer to the prequels as far as substance and style than it was to the originals. Saying that, it wasnt anywhere near as bad as them, id say it was three quarters of the way to TFA than the prequels, but still too close for my liking. I get that Star Wars is about dodgy creatures and what not, but between the porgs, the crystal dogs, the mother Teresa frogs and the camel horse racers, I just thought fuck off and tone it down a bit. My biggest bug bare was probably the humour, and this is a criticism of modern movie humour rather than just this film. Its a new trend to make fun of yourselves so nobody can make fun of you and it was around in small doses in TFA but there was buckets of it here. From Luke throwing the saber over his shoulder, to Luke admitting hed never read the Jedi books he beloved so much. Even the prank call at the start with General Hux and Rey chuckle brothering the housemaid frogs on the island, it was just slapped on a little too thick at times. I also didnt like the needless 'new stuff' i.e upteen different trooper costumes, battle vehicles etc but again, its minor and I can see the reason Disney-wise.
There were aspects I thought were great, Rey and Kylo are legit characters who I want to see more and more of, anything with them two was tremendous and I enjoyed Lukes input for the most part. Yoda I enjoyed, although im tempted to say they went a bit far with the jedi afterlife stuff. Normally it was only ever a quick glance or moment, this was a full on chat from beyond the grave, but I think they did the best with it that they could.

Just read an interesting statistic that Jimmy Uso has been in the main roster longer than anyone else without taking any time off.  24 days is the longest he’s gone without a match, which was probably when Jey was injured.
24 days off without a match is time off though, surely?

Hideo Itami looked tiny. Â I'm aware that he's held in high esteem by those who saw his work in Japan, but I can't think of a single memorable performance by him since being in WWE. Â Let's be honest, his NXT run was poor. Â
Whatever it is that you need to succeed in WWE, I really don't think he has it.Lets be honest, decent NXT runs havent exactly translated to decent roster runs, so maybe he's going to be a roaring success. Actually, youre probably right.

I read a theory that two Rumbles will work in their favour in the sense that the crowd will be too tired by the end of the men’s Rumble to boo Roman when he wins. Genius.
The only problem with this is that surely now the event has to open with one Rumble match and close with another and I dont think they'll stick the women on first and immediately make it look inferior to the real Rumble match.

Did Gable get a bit of a pop purely because he dropped two people directly on their heads or is he generally getting decent reactions now?
On the Bryan thing, im fairly certain this is just leading to nothing, purely playing on the idea that hes possibly been cleared when really they have no intention of him getting int he ring.

Thinking about it, the NFL is being sued because they tried to keep information about CTE behind closed doors. I suppose if all information is public and players are aware of the risks going on, then theres not much the governing body can be criticised for. I still dont think id want to get involved in that potential risk though.

I think May could still run as part of any leadership contest is she gets a certain % of Tory MPs to nominate her? (like anyone else that wants to run really)
Its all a bit odd, as theres now no form of brexit that can garner a majority in parliament. Not enough hard brexit backers, soft brexit backers or MPs that simply want to stay in/another referendum. It could be a case of being careful what you wish for on all sides as theres a potential for a type of brexit pergatory if nothing is agreeable.
Arguable of course, but I think what was proposed at Checkers had the fairest balance for all sides, Britain, the EU and all sides of the commons, but currently nobody wants to give up ground and purely wants what they see as the right type of brexit.
