  1. I was there, second back row right at the top of the hall.

No tron, was just a curtain, though recollect there was pyro when Brock Lesnar jumped onto the ring.

Scott Hall announced the wind doesn't blow in Glasgow....it sucks.

William Regal got lot's of Regal Sucks chants, but he got on mic to say he couldn't possibly suck as he wasn't Scottish.

Austin vs Big Show match is identical to the Insurrextion match later that week.

Lots of chants for man sweeping the ring in between bouts.

Bought a program and thought it was weird that WWF was blurred out on Silver Vision adverts, week or two later company was WWE.

Debra was brought out at very start as a special ring announcer, my mate leapt off his chair and applauded.

  2. Sorry if this has been asked before, but will Virgin be broadcasting Wrestlemania this year? I usually watch it at home on sky but my sky has been playing up so am hoping to watch it at a friends house on virgin but we can't find anything to confirm that it's being shown. Anyone know for definite yay or nay?

Yep, Live the same as Sky. You only get repeats all day on Monday though.

Thanks Phenom, does it show up on the on demand listings the week before, same as sky?

Yeah, but you can't actually order it until the actual Sunday. It can be a pain, but at least they carry it I suppose.

Thank you, at least I don't have to worry about getting the sky fixed before then.

Be careful with Virgin Media lads. Last year, they didn't start showing the event until 45 minutes in. Virgin viewers last year missed the opener, the Orton triple threat match and all but the last 5 minutes of MITB.

Aye, it came on at midnight for most people, but not everyone on Virgin.

And, im not so sure Virgin are going to show WrestleMania, on the Live Events Channel it's not advertising anything, and they usually have the event information up weeks before the actual show, Mania is only 12 days away and it's not even advertising on there yet, Royal Rumble was advertised like a month in advance. Also when you go to more on demand and click future events it doesnt advertise anything there either.

Got a bad feeling about this one.

I just contacted them, they said they ARE showing it. If they decide to take the money, and then not show it, it won't be the first time either though :(

I just had Virgin Media installed this morning, were you able to record previous WrestleMania's onto the VBox for a limited period? Thank you.

  3. Excellent work Black2! Here is my list, I had started to write really long write ups but was too close to deadline and had to settle to tiny sentences.

    1. Silent Hill 2 - PS2

    Scary, mature, gripping. A masterpiece.

    2. TimeSplitters Future Perfect - PS2

Same great multiplayer, finally a decent story mode.

    3. Resident Evil - PS1

My first survival horror game and it sucked me into the genre. Also features best character ever: Barry Burton

    4. Broken Sword - PC

Lovely game, hilarious and interesting with fiendish puzzles.

    5. Grim Fandango - PC

More hilarious puzzling, genuine sadness when you finish the game as you will no longer be spending time with the characters.

    6. Metal Gear Solid 4 - PS3

Well polished, great finale to the series that somehow ties up the loose ends from several batshit insane plots.

    7. Grand Theft Auto 3 - PS2

Seemed to come out of nowhere to take over the world. Great fun just driving around listening to Lazlow on the radio.

    8. Incredible Crisis - PS1

One of the strangest games I have ever played which follows a Japanese family going to a birthday party but get involved in affairs and alien invasions.

    9.Dynamite Headdy - Mega Drive

Excellent Treasure platformer, bright vibrant and very hard.

    10. Mega Bomberman - Mega Drive

    CLassic multiplayer gaming.

    11. Burnout Paradise - PS3

Brilliant reinvention of the franchise and the constant updates keep it fresh.

    12. Sonic The Hedgehog - Mega Drive

I mod just about ever console or phone I own and run this game. Addicitve and fantastic soundtrack.

    13. Medievil - PS1

3D platformer packed with British humour and loads of varied levels.

    14. Die Hard Arcade - Sega Saturn

Three games in one. None are anywhere near perfect but all are hilarious fun with friends in the same room.

    15. SingStar - PS3

Ultimate party game - everyone wants a go when drunk and the online features are fantastic. Constant updates lead tonew tracklists for every party.

  4. Not really what I'm playing... but just wondering if anyone has a PS3 with that funky card game you can buy for it, and if so... is it any good?I love card games anyway, and adding a game that brings the cards to life on screen looks awesome, but it would only be so if the game was fun to play... so... anyone here played it?

I bought this as I wanted the camera and the game i half price in the sales, but I am starting to get into it. It's rather good fun and plays like a traditional Collectible Card Game, but it is cool to see the monsters spawn from your cards!
  5. Assassins creed is possibly the best game of 2007.Imagine Prince of Persia, but 10,000X better, with lots of blood, guts and drool worthy graphics.

Man that sounds incredible. I've been putting off buying it because I still have lots (and lots) of games to finish, I am really tempted though.
I've seen nothing but disappointed reviews for this game. I think I'll rent before making a decision. This week I have been mostly playing Boom Boom Rocket, Pacman Championship Edition, Halo 3 and the Burnout Paradise demo. Gems, every one.Burnout Paradise is so fast and detailed, my eyes nearly fell out of my head. There's times (actually, pretty much all the time) when there's nothing you can do but react to something that happened milliseconds before. It's quite the adrenaline rush. Having the freedom of a city to tear around in, with non-compulsory, user-triggered "event" races, rather than jumping from on preset race track to the next is very refreshing.I think the full version may need to be purchased when it's out.
I found the Burnout demo a bit tricky in the races - you are going so fast with lots of trafic and need to see which turn to take at a junction? Made life difficult.I do love the webcam integration though!
  6. Metal Gear Solid is nonsense, but its fun nonsense. Metal Gear Solid 2 is one of the craziest games ever made.I don't recall a coffin but the latest trailer has a little girl saying her mother's name was Olga.

  7. Thanks for the heads up on the spoiler asshole :pOh well, i guess this means that a now have to read up every single little bit on the MGS4 story now. what a shame ;)

Kojima spoiled it, the last trailer for the game gives away so much!
  8. I doubt anyone on here could cope with my love of ferrets, video gaming, impulse buying and 'little moments'.I'm a bit of a spastic really ;)Back to MGS does anyone else here think that in a game to come theyre going to bring in a character whos mothers name was EVA?

    Nope, EVA is in MGS4
  9. Currently playing Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. It's little more than a repetitive shooter, but it has some of the best moments in a third person shooter I've seen in some time. Take for example the Heat inspired street shootout, which is utterly mental and so much fun to play. Or the nightclub section, where you have to pick out the guards with their torches amidst crowds of frightened revellers. Even rappelling down a skyscraper is a stunning moment. The story is also really engaging, and a movie version is being planned. Sadly the game is a little too by the numbers in parts, but overall it's a lot of fun, which I can't say about Assassin's Creed, because it bored the fuck out of me.

Supposedly the plot goes very very odd later in the game.Currently playing Uncharted: Drakes Fortune - been a great game, stunning graphics, likeable characters, very challenging though the final level is really trying my patience. Singstar PS3 should arrive today, can't wait to check out the user uploaded clips, they sound hilarious.
  10. I think with the new price drops that I'll pick up a PS3 next payday.Any game recommendations? Not the biggest fan of first person games I expectmy first game will be Pro Evo :D

You may be in a lot of luck, currently Blockbuster offer a PS3 (40gb) with FIFA for
  11. Global Defence Force on PS2.No-nonsense blow-up-everything-you-see 3rd-person shooter, single-handedly fending off an army of giant ants around the streets of London with a rocket launcher and a tank from the very start. That big office building in your way? Just raze it to the ground. DIE, alien insect scum!

  12. Any recommended PS3 games that are out before Christmas, other than Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and SD! vs. RAW 2008?

unchartered looks amazing, out december. i'm also after haze, singstar and ratchet & clank. my poor wallet :-( Hope GT5 Prologue is delayed now!
  13. What did you think of the final 3rd of Fahrenheit? It is quite a bone of contention on here.Downloaded Warhawk last night on the PS3, great fun! I hadn't been following this one too closely so didn't know you could drive trucks and tanks as well as the Warhawk fighter jets. I must have freaked out the folk I was playing online the first time I flew the Warhawk, I was all over the place.

  14. That Orb program is awesome with the PS3 as well, had only really be using it to stream music but going to look over these flash channels. Definitely going to get a PSP now, just waiting for the new model in September.
