  1. My dad turned 87 last weekend.

Friday night he was off doing old people dancing about an hour away.

Saturday we had a meal out with him.

Sunday he was back off dancing up the country.

He has cancer in two places too !!

People may care from the perspective of 'Oh that's horrible' etc but beyond that I sadly doubt it. Professional wrestling is seen as the lowest form of entertainment in most circles anyway. The general non fans think only idiots or weirdos watch it/enjoy it and it only ever gains mainstream traction for the negative stuff.

Advertisers and decision makers won't care as long as it is seen as a good investment.

'This company is run by a paedophile and a drug addict, Sir'

    'Yes, but is it profitable?".

This seems to be exactly it. Sad but true . I wonder if the Netflix and Rock announcements were expedited to “get ahead” of the bad news or if it was just a  crazy week in terms of timing ???

Inside of this thread, does anyone care?

Well the share price dropping is probably the biggest indicator of any negative repercussions towards their business at least.

The fact that it hasn’t dropped is very odd. I guess it means the markets don’t think this a a significant issue for TKO.

Unless they start losing sponsors which then in turn may impact the share price .

To non-wrestling folks/media, is this actually a significant scandal?

Everything in America, from TV companies to large, influential corporations are run by mega rich, middle aged white men who likely all indulge in the same activity as Vince, if not worse.

Anyone thinking this is the end of WWE is naive. Sure they might lose a few sponsors temporarily but overall the company will continue to print money.

As mentioned earlier, their share price hasn’t been dented at all really .

I would have thought it would have dropped significantly but no…

Outside of wrestling, do people care ?

I hate to be so cynical, but unless Netflix insists on it, I’m not convinced that this will oust McMahon. This isn’t a criminal case, and the rich and powerful have learned that it’s possible to simply ride these things out. It really depends on how much it snowballs, if it does in the first place. After the initial thud these things land with, the news cycle generally moves on, to the benefit of those embroiled in the scandal.

PR nightmare surely if there was collusion between WWE corporate staff to keep it under wraps ?

  6. A hate watch is such an accurate description. I want to see tasks failed, finger pointing, bitching, poor planning, people dragging each other down, Karen looking sour and most of all……..i want to see Lord Sugar complaining about his time being wasted !!

I actually had seen the series with Kathrick, hated him and first but by christ he turned babyface like Austin in 97 by the end of it. Loved that monobrowed fucker.

As I understand it, all staining is due to enamel or the lack there of. So things like sugar and fizzy drink erode enamel, your teeth are then porous (some people's are more naturally porous than others) and then things like coffee can stain your teeth as the enamel (which is white) is no longer protecting them.

This is why things like whitening toothpastes are actually a false economy because they may make your teeth look whiter in the short term but they wear away at your enamel so in the long term will cause more discolouration.

That makes perfect sense as my teeth didn’t stain so easily before.

Is there actually a way to restore enamel? I use Pro Enamel toothpaste but am not sure if it actually works..

It's usually sugar that stains teeth, rather than coffee, I found. As long as you're brushing your teeth regularly, it's no issue.

Only time I've ever really given up coffee was when I built up a caffeine tolerance, and tried to "normalise" in order to enable it to have an effect again when I got back on it. Not a fun time.

My bigger concern in recent years is my sugar intake - I am definitely sugar addicted, so I've been trying to switch to just having espressos with a little honey in, so that I can get my hit without too much sugar.

You sure that sugar stains Teeth ??

Rots them yes but i thought it was the literal colouring that stains them. Like black coffee with no sugar could stain teeth .

What the hell are you drinking, turmeric?

    Caramel or Vanilla latte.

My teeth stain easy, same with Red wine.   I brush and floss multiple times a day and they stay the same colour, i remove coffee for a few weeks and change nothing else and they start to get whiter …

It’s a shame as i had braces in my 20’s so my teeth are perfectly straight but now are slightly discoloured ️.

  10. I love coffee but my teeth stain easily from it. Like if i stop drinking coffee for a month, my teeth are noticeably whiter.

But i love the bastard stuff.

i go for an vanilla latte too, so many calories…

  11. For me , it’s a lesson in how unconscious bias really affects decision making.

People like Paul and so are willing to look past clear and obvious evidence that points to him being a traitor.

Also, it’s amazing to see how people are influenced by the herd mentality.

Ross has been very vocal on who he thinks is a traitor and is able to articulate why he thinks so, he has been nearly 100% wrong each time but he is influencing the group also each time.

Ross would have made a great traitor but he is doing their work for them essentially

I like Zack actually but he is a heatseeker.

That would be Charlotte, and when they contemplated murdering her I couldn’t quite believe it. Utter lunacy.

I dont know if you’ve noticed but at the roundtable Charlotte agrees with nearly everything that everybody says….

Brian’s malfunction at the roundtable was both cringe and fantastic…

Going into it he was never going to get eliminated, he just kept talking and talking.

    Fool Me Once

My wife wanted to watch this and like all Harlan Coben adaptations, it's absolute turgid dogshit, but in a enjoyable, trashy way. It's proper TV for thick people. You could easily skip an episode and not get lost as every character seems to recap the entire storyline during every conversation they have. At one point the main character gets a phone call and the name on the phone says "sister-in-law" because the viewer can't be trusted to remember names. She phones Joanna Lumley's character later on and her caller ID photo on her phone is her press shot for the show.

It's surprisingly watchable considering the writers lack of subtlety and hand holding throughout the whole thing.

I’ve enjoyed the other HC stuff I’ve watched but this is a struggle to be honest.
It’s one of those shows where the lead character isn’t particularly likeable and it’s hard to feel any sympathy for her or even just want her to succeed.

In fact none of the characters are particularly likeable or even convincing. Some of the editing is terrible also. The plot is quite nonsensical really. Her taking down some fully grown with relative ease is complete bollocks too.

I’m only on episode 4 and i hate not seeing things through so this could be a struggle .
