Didn’t even realise this card was happening, hadn’t even seen this thread until just now. It’s not actually a bad card compared to some of the dross we have had lately. 

That show felt a bit flat to me, not sure if it was because of all the hype but don’t felt it live up to expectations. Main card was decent but just felt the fights didn’t really catch fire with the exception of Dustin vs BSD.

The O’Mally fight felt very one side but got knows how Vera ate the knee, it looked right on the money!

Been really busy the past few weeks and fallen behind on the last couple of Apex cards but so glad this is just around the corner now! 
 

Another stacked card with some really meaningful fights. I think O’Malley gets his win back this time via tko. As much as I love Poirier I think it would be better for the devision if Saint Denis runs through him. Would really put him on the map and in title contention

Didn’t even realise until I saw something on Twitter earlier but there’s no fights above 155 on this card either, which is no bad thing at all! Proper WEC vibes. 

Didn’t realise this was so soon, should be a really fun card. 
 

Do you think they have booked lighter weight classes due to the altitude of Mexico City? Seen some of the big guys gas drastically at altitude!

This hasn’t gone down well on social media! It’s a decent fight and I think Hill deserves his shot but, yeah Hill headlining 300 seems a bit meh. But as you say now the speculation can stop and we can start looking forward to the card

But you can’t take it away from Topuria that was some knock out. 

This fight really has a big time feel about it. The build ups been really good and it’s great to see so many getting behind Topuria. 
 

I’m growing more confident of a Volk victory by tko in 3 or 4. I don’t think he’s done yet and I could see it going the same way as the Yair fight. 

The press conference has got me so hyped for this card. Volk coming out dressed like an old man and falling asleep was amazing. I like Topuria and it would freshen the division up if he won but I just can’t route against Volk.

The polls are pretty one sided for this one, I’ve gone Volk, Bobby Knuckles, and I can’t remember who I picked out of Merab or Cejudo but not confident in any of the results! 

Yeah it was another alright showing, show good stuff, some dross. Like I said in the last apex thread, I don’t mind them, we just get so many with mixed fights that it’s becoming a big of a slog. Some of those fights in front of a crowd would have really brought them to life. 
 

Think Wand said it in his opening post but the main went the same way as the Magny/Mallot fight from the last card. Jack just had a bit too much experience about him and managed to get through the early storm and Pyfer looked a bit lost and deflated when Jack was still in the fight at round 3. That jab was really causing him issues!

Ah well, 298 is in sight!

I watched all of this on Sunday morning and I really couldn’t tell you anything about it, it’s wasn’t the worst but just very forgettable action. 
 

I actually don’t mind an apex card but they are starting to get a bit stale. Maybe having fewer fights on them would make them less of a drag? At least 298 is fast approaching!

Exactly this! The crowd is going to be white hot and should make for a great night. The fights are decent too, both might be rematches but like Wand said in his post they were great fights whilst they lasted so this should be electric.

A bit surprised about that as I’ve seen Aspinall calling for the winner of that fight. The UFC clearly aren’t giving him Jones or Stipe so you think they might try and build up that fight

Didn’t think I’d ever see Holly Holm in a fight I actually wanted to watch but I’m interested in this one. The women’s division needs a bit more star power and adding Harrison certainly won’t hurt.

Really don’t get the hate for the Allen vs Evloev fight, I thought it was a decent scrap. Also seen a lot of people on twitter saying Allen was robbed. I thought it was close but I think Evloev clearly won? MMA twitter really is the drizzling shits! 
 

Didn’t catch the prelims but thought the main card was pretty lacklustre, the Allen fight and the main event were decent but the fights between just dragged and had little importance in the grand scheme. 
 

I’ve seen lots of shouts on twitter about robbery in the main event but I think thats just from Strickland fan boys. In my opinion it was a close fight and Strickland definitely won round 1 but I had DDP winning 3-2 (could even see it being 4-1). 

At least when DDP wins and fights Izzy we will get a nice respectful build for that fight……

Looking forward to this now, it’s not the best ppv but enough good stuff on there. 
 

I think DDP has too much for Strickland and gets a stoppage in the 2nd or 3rd but I wouldn’t be surprised if Stricklands takes it in a similar fashion to the Izzy fight.

The UFC must hope DDP wins this in quick fashion without taking any damage so they can have him and Izzy headline 300

It wasn’t the best night of action but certainly not the worst.

I could see ankalave v pereira being added to UFC 300 after that performance.

Aspinall has posted on his instragram news articles speculating it will be him vs Lesner at UFC 300, I don’t for one minute seeing happening but wouldn’t mind watching it.

Have the UFC only got 3 flyweights? When was the last time Moreno thought someone what wasn’t a rematch? I can’t see Royval getting another title shot anytime soon but if he gets a decisive win here it wouldn’t hurt his chances. 

Seen on twitter that Dana should be announcing some more fights today. 
 

Not sure who headlines this one, if I had to put money on it, I think I’d go Chandler v McGregor. I guess they could go down the Brock or Ronda route and hope that draws in the casuals who recognise the names?!

Last time I went to Villa Park was for a Pokémon tournament on the original game boy but would definitely go back if they did a stadium show.
 

Hopefully Belal dosent end up sparking him out at 300 and ruining it. Given how long it took for him to get a title shot I doubt he’d get a quick rematch! 

Not sure how true it is but Leon Edwards was at the Villa game yesterday and apparently said he’d defend the title at ufc 300 and then was hoping to fight in Birmingham in the summertime.
