  1. Worried about the Vladimir situation. Is it a literal one off special exception for this one fan to be honoured?

I could see Everton top guy at NXT going all out to see if he will get the same reward as will some other superfans.

The only other fans I'd see get this would be neon shirt couple and red hat guy.

    The rest not so.

  2. Considered all the build for Drew the BT Sport stuff and the mural in Glasgow and having his father and brother and Jack Jester do a promo in the east end of Glasgow you were certain he was going to win. Build towards next year big show in the UK an actual PPV he could have got the mega star treatment like Bulldog. Nope. Wasted what I feel was a massive opportunity.

  3. This thread has been an absolute fascinating read.

We have come to see so much happen in the independent wrestling scene that the promoter whilst all good intentions there will be a lot of pre judgement as we have seen time after time that there are fans watching WWE on TV and love the allure of being their own miniature federation owner.

We see big fanfare, some decent looking graphics and a venue with a date and how to buy tickets.

It usually falls down as the event organiser has usually not promoted the show correctly or doesn't have the acumen to be in a sense event management savvy.

It sounds ambitious and I wish you all the best. Your ambition and drive is commendable.

Although the colloquial conversation does put doubt the authenticity of the proposed new promotion and debut event that it is real.

I really hope you don't take this the wrong way but I have had to deal with a lot of Walter Mitty characters during lockdown that have had so much free time they have put together very convincing stories of things then turns out to be fabricated nonsense.

The other promotion (known) does reel me back in the event is genuine as it's been a while since a Britwres story of sabotage has been afoot.

Anyway fascinating stuff and great reading. If the event happens fair enough. If it was all a Walter Mitty character dream then it has provided me with some light reading.

  4. I'd love for when the pandemic is over that the swingman would come over here and do some shows. He would do autograph signings in your local town centre bookies before heading to the local sports centre for the local wrestling federation event and be as late as ever. He would then take over the gimmick table taking all the cheddar off the local boys where he would sell you the latest VHS tapes. Extra for being autographed. He would of course cop off with the promoters wife in the local Premier Inn. The promoter is such a mark tho he's sitting in the hotel room in the corner filming it marking out for the swing daddy put his wife over. Has also has a young boy in every local federation drive him everywhere and has to buy him Burger King from a service station in the hope the swingman teaches him something.

Cannot wait for britwres booking imports again.

  5.

Apparently this branding company are close to having official licensed craft beer for WWE. They just need WWE to make the deal for the can artwork and also partner up with a suitable brewery to make the beer.

  6. Maybe Bertie Del Rio can sell some coke to raise funds?

In all seriousness that pitch raising funds has red flags all over it.

The pitch starts where the guy has just got of the phone with the Knights.

The excerpt of the exchange on the phone states that they need X amount of £ a month or they will go under.

For a successful pitch it would need to be highlighted why they are in financial troubles for example the global pandemic.

What sort of costings are there in running WAW? Can they offer transparency in showing business costs of the business?

This pitch is very reliant upon goodwill from fans that won't question handing over money without asking questions about where the money will be used and how. I am not a willing investor.

  7. Some fucking mutant at an independent show I was at in Edinburgh took the lollipop that was down Joey Ryan's trunks after it fell out of Joey's mouth during a spot on the floor at ringside the lad pure excited reached out through the railings to catch it and stood up to be the biggest attention seeking fuckwit and shouted look at me then proceeded to place the dirty lolly in his mouth. It took everyone out of the match. They ended up having to include the mutant in the match now then to get him to sit down and stop the attention seeking.

    Thank fuck Joey Ryan's done.

  8. If you see on Facebook The Daily Mail article link posted about it the comments section is filled with absolute mutants of the highest order. So much transphobic hate and ridicule.

A lot of the hate comes from people who are saying being transgender goes against Christianity and then there's the lads talking about taking "her" on for a laugh.

Fuck that paper and its readers in the bin.

  9. Squeaky Bean stuff is great. The ready to eat Tikka pieces and the BBQ pieces are great. They also make it for M&S for some reason the M&S tikka pieces taste better. Slightly more expensive but M&S always good quality.

  10. Just hopefully Scotland gets its independence soon.

Makes you hate being part of the UK when you have a majority of SNP in Scotland.

The Tories are a right wing party and as a result they are enabling the far right facism to become populist in England. Far right being racist, homophobic and xenophobic.

Scotland shouldn't be tarred with the same brush as being British in the UK as it's a more left leaning liberal country with its political voting intentions.

There are good English people living in England who did not vote for Conservative and don't share their political views. I have sympathy for them.

England has voted a majority of Conservative MP's so the majority political opinion of England is right wing. So indirectly the majority of political opinion is enabling a bad culture south of the border of far right extremism.

Those good people in England who didn't vote Tory and also don't support right wing politics should be able to fight against this and win the day for a better England. It's your mission to stop this indirect enablement of the far right with campaigning with your vote to get the Conservative party out of Westminster.

Independence will be good for Scotland as we won't have to deal with a right wing political party being in charge of so much of our affairs that we never voted for. We can do so much better.

I look forward to a brighter future ahead of independence for Scotland with good neighbors of the south in England who did the good fight to make England better by getting the Tories out of Westminster.

  11. Got to be loving Moose at the moment. From watching him on independent shows here I wasn't overly impressed and wrote him off as another big guy from another sport looking for an easy payday and not being very good. However over the last year he has become a spectacle to watch in the Impact Zone. The entrance, how he carries himself as a star how he has massively improved his mic work doing backstage interviews and that performance at Hard to Kill showed  that he is a top guy in Impact Wrestling. I do hope he does go to AEW to go after Kenny Omega once he takes the Impact Wrestling World Championship from Rich Swann.

  12. Remember £350 for Inside The Ropes to meet Mark. When all this social media bollocks starts the mystique of him wears off. It won't be before long The Undertaker will be flying over here doing social club meet and greets priced at only £20 for whatever post Covid world wrestling promotion s are still going. £10 extra for picture with Michelle McCool.

  13. When Vader wrestled for BCW in Scotland as part of the No Blood No Sympathy weekend Vader had the guy who was his driver for the weekend take him to a kebab shop in Kilmarnock. He ate six large chicken tikka kebabs but replace the pita bread for garlic nann bread.
