A timely reminder that Kool Herc and a lot of the founders received absolutely fuck all for their contribution to hip hop.

Still at least we got to meet him at Essential Festival in 2000 and my mate Dave got his shell toes signed by him.

It's a bit cringey, but I've always said that if I ever visit New York, I'll try and go to Sedgwick Avenue on a bit of a pilgrimage.

I’d have to visit Sedgwick too! Not cringey at all!

are you aware of Hush Hip Hop tours?

    https://hushtours.com

take a look at the Boogie down bronx tour.

  2. Recently I’ve been watching the Reliving wrestling series on YouTube. I highly recommend anybody check them out because they are fan made short wrestling documentaries on par with what a network documentary would look like but not as  biased.

I was watching the JBL video and I would like it if somebody could tell me what match this is, the narrator  is talking about how the JBL vs Eddie gurraro match at judgement day was a perfect use of blood like in the old territory days but not so frequently like it has been, and in the not so frequently statement by the narrator you see a 2 second edit of literally a bloodbath. Does anybody know what match that is. It’s at 20 minutes and 19 seconds into the video for just 2 seconds

    thanks

  3. Big Daddy V & Mark Henry.

really had potential to be a dominant tag force even to help the younger up & coming teams.

even if they were to hold the titles for just a few months. I am surprised it didn’t happen you know seen as how Vince loves big men

  4. I thought to start this as it’s near enough for sensible hype but not to far to go weeks without posts.

    Tokyo!

my first trip to japan and will be live at both days for the biggest wrestle kingdom Show ever. I’ll also be hitting up Korakuan Hall and also the Rizin 20 Show.

what is everybody else’s plans, what are you doing besides the wrestling and MMA and also what other attractions are going on that arnt as documented.

It seems any buzz ICW once had has dropped off a cliff this is the first time I'm not going up to Glasgow for fear and loathing is anyone on here going up for the show/s or even still following the product?

I totally agree with you. I ended up Going to Shugs Hoose party earlier in the year for both days and was very disappointed, the fans were great though, but a very poor show. So not following the product whatsoever, I will give it this though, the Icw Fight club taping in Sheffield in October 2017, genuinely the best live pro wrestling show I have ever been to, I’ll always love the promotion for that show, incredible.

  6. Makes sense. The thing that got me was I missed the Mark Henry intro like the first 4/ 5 times I listened to it, so jumped up out of surprise when I heard that. I’ll have to check out JPEGmafia. Heard of them but never listened.

  7. Just wondering if anyone else is trying to get WK14 Tix via the international pre-sale I got the link yesterday at 11pm uk time saying they'd be on sale in an hour but once going on to the link says no tickets available don't think they have gone on sale yet

    anyone got tickets?

Did Punk and Jericho ever feud? They've both been calling themselves "The Best in the World" for years.

Yes. Off the top off my head the feud highlight was at extreme rules 2013 "Chiraq street fight ". Sure it wasn't LOD & Ahmed Jonson v nation of domination but worth checking out.

Really pleased they seem to be making a go of it, hope they have success and I get the feeling they've got their feet pretty firmly on the ground so I reckon they have a good shot at grabbing that super-indy or 2nd promotion slot.

Same cannot be said for their "fans" though.  Some idiot on Reddit is posting threads of the "greatest AEW finishers" - the best finishers of wrestlers from a company that's not even run a single show yet.  All the clips are from other hard-working promotions of course.  I fully anticipate their crowds being some of the smarkiest in history.

Know what you mean. Hopefully won't be as worse as ROH Pricks.

  10. Very sad to hear about Bushwhic Bills cancer. I really hope that they bring a show to Germany or Amsterdam, know Face can't get into the UK with his record and would likely be the same with Bill and willie. Would fly out for that. SCARFACE is my second favourite rapper of all time and would rank willie and Bushwhick in top 30 of all time.

I had no idea she was there, was she popular?

She was only there on Sunday table in top left corner next to RVD. At the time I went for a autograph her line was the same size as RVD. And her photo op was quite popular a long-ish que but that may be down to only having 1 in 1 day. Most wrestlers got 4 photo ops over 2 days.

  12. I really loved this past weekend. I will be attending next years show.

So much better than Wrestlingmedia con. Had some right laughs with fellow fans in the autograph & photo ques. The FutureShock Show was Grand too.

Above posts were on about how great RVD is and I can testify to that he was my favourite guest. Ric Flair was good too, abit rushed as of the volume of people who wanted to see him but he really liked my comment on how good it is to see him in the rap videos.

I found Kelly Kelly a bit rude went for an autograph and was talking to her fans through her phone barely making eye contact, she seemed better on the photo op than autograph. And lastly Virgil was a laugh I mentioned how nice it was that he went on GTS and went to Grims house on his show not many wrestlers would hang out at a fans house his response was 'Fuck Grim, he paid me to do it' He also said he main evented Summerslam 92 against Hulk Hogan and won. So that was a lot of wholesome fun. But yeah in all an incredible weekend

Living on my own is getting boring, and whilst I don’t want or can afford a new console, I was thinking of getting an old PS2 so I can play Medal of Honor and GTA3. CEX have one for £35, is this a decent price?

Does it make more sense to just get a PS3? Does that play PS2 and PS1 games? Does anyone have either to sell? Cheers in advance

It's only the first 60 gb PS3 that has backwards compatible and another model (forgot which one) As Merzbow pointed they're a bit unreliable getting a pre-owned one, your guaranteed to get the YLOD. Especially if it's been sat on CEX shelf for a while. You can get a 60gb PS3 for around £60. But if you just want PS2 games get the £35 PS2. TMNT battle nexus 2 is my favourite game of all time, try that after Medal of Honor.
